I am probably the target demographic of kid that this software is gonna stop, and I'm gonna be honest, it worked horribly. for all of the advertising and bragging they do on their blogs about how "whitelist video" solves ALL these problems, It took me less than thirty seconds to get access to non-approved videos on the highest restriction settings I could set up, and even for a kid with little to no tech experience, you can literally hover over the restricted video in reccomended or search, and unmute the preview, and watch the entire video without whitelist video getting in your way at all. I also found ~3 other good exploits, but I wont list them here. Anyways, if you are concerned about what your kid is actually doing online, then just ask them to see their search history and youtube history. And lets be real, no software will truly keep any kid out, so the best thing to to is make them understand the risk and know what to avoid themselves while genuinely being aware to the fact that it could hurt them, and only step in yourself if you see real affects of concerning content.

As a parent, I want my child to enjoy the educational benefits of YouTube without constantly worrying about what content might appear next. WhitelistVideo has helped create a safer viewing experience by providing an additional layer of oversight and content filtering. What I appreciate most is that it doesn't simply restrict access—it encourages better content discovery and supports healthier viewing habits. It gives me greater confidence that my child is spending time with age-appropriate and educational videos while still being free to explore and learn.
