We had our conservatory roof replaced in mid-May after a bit of a protracted planning process (the various local authorities in Scotland having different requirements- so make sure Wetheralds know your authority’s requirements).
Once planning was agreed it was all systems go and the date for fitting was decided and the guys (Johnny and Graham - I think that was their names) arrived promptly on the Monday morning and got straight to work. They were excellent workers; clean, careful and efficient. Each day they arrived early (always letting us know when to expect them) and worked hard all day. They arranged all deliveries and skip delivery and pick up. The guys were extremely pleasant and helpful answering any questions we had and left everything neat and tidy when they were done.
When finished the roof looked amazing, both inside and out, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

Wetheralds roof systems have just completed the installation of our replacement conservatory roof (July 4th 2018). We have been so lucky with the weather (every day above 28 ºC) which means we can now enjoy our conservatory as it no longer feels like an oven.
We have also been so lucky in having been assigned a first class and very professional installation team of Sean, Luke and Mark. They are a credit to Wetheralds and deserve worthy mention. They were extremely hard working, tidy, friendly, diligent, and above all their workmanship is first class.
We would also like to thank Paul the regional surveyor for his extremely friendly and helpful introduction to Wetheralds and for his painless survey and assessment.

We had our conservatory roof replaced at the end of last month and we couldn’t be happier with the result. The whole process from the ordering to the installation was seamless. We were kept informed of progress throughout, and were even persuaded to make a last minute change to our order, which turned out to be the best decision. (These guys are worth listening to - they know what they’re talking about!) They also fixed some potential problems caused by shoddy workmanship by a previous company. The team were punctual, polite and professional at all times. The roof looks lovely, and hopefully the persistent leak has now been fixed too. I would highly recommend this company.

We recently had a new roof systems on our current conservatory. From start to finish the Wetheralds team were most professional and helpful. The 2 fitters who came to instal the systems were prompt and courteous at all times and did an excellent job. They arrived promptly each day at 7.30 and rarely left before 6 in the evening and even worked through their lunch hour. The standard of workmanship was excellent and we are extremely pleased with the finished produce. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Great job Wetheralds!

We did a lot of research before letting Wetheralds ‘loose’ on our roof replacement and had a lot of confidence from the outset. The things that stood out for us were the fact that the company employs its own workforce who make the timber based roof on site and involve building control in the process giving complete peace of mind if you should ever wish to sell your house. In reality, we were completely ‘blown away’ by their communication, the ease of the process and the two man team that carried out the work. They grafted every day and took total pride in their work, making sure everything was right at each step of the way. Thanks guys (Mark and Sean I think)? I’m not great with names! Mark even sorted out our door for us which refused to lock after the 1st day. It’s now better than it was before. I am delighted with the results and wholeheartedly thank everyone at Wetheralds for an quality installation......in one word, they are ‘outstanding’!

Our replacement roof has been a total success, not only in terms of quality and appearance but also the very competitive price. Works also include the organisation of site visits from your local building inspector, which enables the authorities to recognise the conservatory's conversion to a 'room' and thus issue the appropriate certification.

The fully tiled and insulated top has already made a significant difference to the way we use the room; especially during the evening when formerly it would have been too cool for comfort.

The plastered ceiling is elegant and has not detracted from the original design in any way. We are delighted.

The workforce were industrious and polite, completing the job within a working week, despite the construction being a little more challenging than normal, owing to the conservatory having a slightly unusual configuration.

Communication with the administrative team has been prompt and efficient, making the whole process a pleasure.

I have already recommended Wetheralds to my brother, who has already invited a visit to his house from their agent.

I wouldn't recommend this company.
They were quick and pleasant enough when providing a quote and coming to instal the roof but when it comes to after service their customer service is awful.
To start off with they gave our number out to a customer (who then called us) without our permission which is a breach of data protection and then when we phoned up to complain they were less than apologetic, we only got a letter of apology because we complained and pushed for it.
Since then we had problems with our roof, we called them and ended up having to chase up 4 times (I have phone records to show my husbands constant calls)
When my husband then spoke to a technical manager he was rude and less than helpful.
In conclusion due to the breach of data protection and the service we have received we would not look to recommend this company.

Having completed the outline Architectural work to build a solid roof in place of the existing glazed conservatory roof for the house in Aberdeen of my son and daughter-in-law, I started looking for a contractor to carry out the work. In my investigations, I came across several so-called specialist replacement roofing firms, who, on closer inspection, unfortunately did not live up to their advertising promises.

In due course, I came across Wetheralds. Jack Sharp, who carried out their pre-contract services, was invaluable, liaising between me and Wetheralds' head office. Having set a mutual commencement date, Johnny and Graham, the two Wetheralds workmen who came up to install the replacement roof were two of the best that I have come across.

They left York at 3 o’clock on a Monday morning, arrived in Aberdeen after lunch, and left late Thursday afternoon, having completed installing a solid roof, insulation, and internal plasterwork. This was not an easy installation, involving problematic existing gutter work, which they took in their stride.

We are all absolutely delighted with the finished roof, and room. The previously unusable conservatory (due to being too hot in summer to cold in winter) has now become an additional valuable room within the house all year round. As well, the work was in compliance with Scottish Building Regulations

All in all, as an Architect, I can thoroughly recommend Wetheralds to any future prospective customers.

We were very pleased with the standard of work and the professionalism of the workmen. They worked extremely hard and cleaned up so well that we would never have known they were here. Since having our roof replaced in March. we have already noticed a huge difference in temperatures which was one of the main reasons for having a roof system fitted. I had a conservatory roof fitted back in mid-March and I was very happy with the whole process from sales to fitting.
I believe your figures of 90% warmer in winter and 40% cooler in summer should be higher - a truly remarkable product!

Unfortunately though after a month and a particular bad storm the roof sprung a small leak.
To be honest I wasn’t happy but rung Wetheralds immediately.
Steph who answered my call put me at ease and left me in no doubt that all issues would be resolved.

Shane who fixed the problem was extremely personable, professional in his work, respectful of property, polite and patient, a real credit to the Wetheralds name.

Although I never wanted to have an issue with the roof, I was treated with empathy, professionalism and second to none customer service at all times.

We found the experience very pleasing and not stressful at all. The lads were very amenable proficient. We are extremely pleased with the roof and our conservatory is a much better room.

Wetheralds Roofsystems provided us with a clear quotation, they explained the whole process from start to finish and the installation team turned up on the stated day and time. The guys on site worked in very cold and snowy conditions and completed the work within a week. We are more that happy with this company and their representatives.

Great company to deal with , staff were on the ball and very pleasant and knowledgeable.
From start to finish an excellent service. Hard working guys on site who ldelivered an outstanding job. Went like clockwork, even though we are in Lymington and they travelled from York. Have already recommended to others without hesitation. One of the best building jobs, having renovated many houses.

Wetheralds were not the cheapest quote that we got to have our conservatory roof replaced with a solid roof but their price was very competitive. One of the things which swung it in their favour was their assurance that their work met Building Regulations and that it would be inspected by our local office and a certificate issued. This was duly received. The team that did the work arrived on time (even though it was snowing!) worked very hard and to a very high standard. They were also very friendly, considerate and helpful. They finished the work well within schedule and we are delighted with the result. Highly recommended!

I would not hesitate in recommending this company. They were professional at all times, great communication and kept in touch throughout. The product is excellent and installation seamless. From the onset David the surveyor was most helpful and got to grips very quickly as to what we were requesting, this was not a straight forward solid roof conversion but that of a conversion from a Victorian roof to that of a lean too sold roof into the existing roof. David arranged for the technical and operational managers (Kevin & James) to visit the sight on two occasions in order that not only understood the job in hand but how they were going to communicate that to the on site team.
The on site team were very courteous, polite, friendly producing a very high standard of workmanship in all trades.
The administration team must also be commended in the way they performed their duties in keeping us informed.
We must congratulate the whole team at Wetheralds on a job well done and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to potential customers should the opportunity arise.
