What amazing service from the initial enquiry right through to the collection of the new vans. Not only where the staff knowledgeable and friendly the cost was unbeatable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm to any business.

I rented a van to move house over two days, my partner ended up unwell which delayed us moving, Jason from Westwood was incredible. He arranged us having the van for a few hours on other dates and allowed for me dropping it off on two occasions the morning after. I have used them previously and both time they have been really friendly, affordable and just genuinely nice people. Thanks so much to Jason and everyone else at Westwood for your amazing service. 100% recommended!

Returning customer to Westwood Wigan branch to hire a 3.5t to help my friend move house just days before Christmas. Andy Casson arranged everything and was a delight to deal with and explained everything and showed me round the vehicle with a smile (even though it was pouring with rain). Used them twice in the space of around 2 weeks, rented a small van and also the Luton van for a house move, both in great condition and very clean. Very friendly and quick when picking up and dropping off. £200 deposit which is fair enough, goes straight back in your bank as long as you look after the vehicle.

Ordered a monthly rental car via Yolanda at WMG. As I was traveling from Newcastle (3 hours on the train) it was imperative that everything was sorted and approved prior to me arriving. On arrival Yolanda wasn’t available and was passed to Andy Casson. On arrival they told me they didn’t have my personal details so asked me to fill a form in. Andy then took that upstairs and came back down 10 minutes later to say they conducted a search on my personal credit profile (which was never explained nor did I consent) and that I failed. Baring in mind this rental was for my business. I also explained that my personal credit isn’t the best as I have a lot of exposure that I guarantee for my business. Anyways they rejected my application on the basis of the unauthorised credit search. I have since initiated legal proceedings which they aren’t responding to. I don’t recommend doing business with this company and would research their competitors.

UPDATE TO CHRIS MELLINGS RESPONSE:

Dear Mr Melling, I have never sent an email to Andrew and only to Yolanda so your staff are deceiving the situation. Also I authorised credit searches on the business, not me personally. I have never authorised any personal credit checks hence the legal action. The legal action also covers my costs of travel and damages. You have my email, let’s talk so we can settle this. However your reply is a lie and you know it.

Would like to thank again for a very friendly and efficient service provided! 100% trustworthy professionals work there. Can easily sort out initial phase of the purchase through the phone and your vehicle will be ready for you to collect within the day. Must admit, I was sceptical at first, so decided to sort out ''initial phase'' same day, eye to eye. Would have saved myself a great deal of time and fuel if I would have followed the advice of sorting everything through the phone. Anyways, nothing was too much trouble. Very happy with the purchased vehicle. Thank you!

Andrew greeted us upon reception our booking us made for the following day but that wasnt a problem. Andrew corrected our booking within minutes we signed paperwork and doing walk around of the van and we was off. On return again Andrew greeted us another walk around the van and we was off. Overall quick efficient. Oustanding service and 100% recommend. Only place i ever go when in need of a van

Recently rented a car off westwoods and I could not of been happier!!! Not only the service but the customer care aswell!!! From start to finish the girls there were incredible!!!! Specially Kathy and Laura absolutely phenomenal!!! I’ve rented vehicles in the past from other companies and nothing comes closer to this place!!! anybody seeking rentals in the north west specially the Wigan area I personally wouldn’t go anywhere else top top team!!! The standard of advice and customer service I recieved from Westwood motor group was fantastic, as was the speed at which they sorted a car that was absolutely perfect for me. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a car, as Chris, Kate and the team are all extremely helpful and you feel they genuinely want to find the right car for you.

From the first phone call to returning the van was a class experience.

I spoke with Jason, gave him my needs and he suggested and supplied a VW Crafter so I could move my son to his new home.

His welcome on arrival was lovely and he gave me all the information needed.

The van was perfect and we completed the move in 2 trips on one day, so I could return the van early next morning. I was again welcomed by a couple of women who were helpful and signed off the van in no time.

Two additional points; I was able to leave my car safely parked overnight on site and, secondly, I got back to Newcastle in time for the win against Burnley. Excellent goal by Miggy, by the way.
