Account deleted!! SCAM

Same as most people on here - originally waited the 1 year period to cash out my shares, then to be told that wasn't possible so they just sat there. Now my account has been deleted due to their new inactivity policy which was not applicable when I set up my account and I did not consent to. £3000 lost - regulators need to look at this utter scam of a company.

This app is the biggest scam please…

This app is the biggest scam please avoid! I initially downloaded it over 2 years ago, as they were advertising that you will receive 50% cash back in certain purchases. I made a booking reservation expecting this 50% cash back, but they didn’t specify that this “cash back” will be locked to my WeShop account. In the first year they were saying that this amount will be locked for 1 year a that after that you should be able to withdraw it. After the 1 year passed, the were saying that this amount is locked as WeShop stocks and you will be able to withdraw “once they go live” an kept postponing it again again always giving different date estimates! Now it’s passed over 2 and a half years, and the app now has completely logged me out saying that my email address that I had the account with (as I have many emails from them) is no longer existing or having an account! Absolute frauds, don’t waste your time with their lies! Just delete this useless app!!!

Deleted account after 3 months of inactivity?!? Over £1000 of shares gone because I hadn't used it in 3 months. Which happens to coincide with them now being on the stock market...

Avoid these frauds

Frauds

Originally joined as they were offering cash back on purchases, booked some British airways holidays back in 2024.

WeShop have never credited the purchase even after changing over to shares. I get a weekly email with no real update. Over a year later they still haven’t resolved the issue.

And now just want to move the shares but can’t do anything as they’re useless.

Avoid these Absolute scammers.

Scam of a company

Scam of a company. I had £1000 to withdraw and they kept changing the goal post for 2 years saying about going public, then now it has shock the shares have dropped in price to £60. Someone warned me of this when sharing about it that this would happen when all then influencers was tricking everyone to joint and spreading lies of how it works. Will be reporting the company, disgrace

Account Closed, Funds Withheld — Misleading and Unfair

I used WeShop in good faith and built up a balance of at least £647.18. I was repeatedly told that I could not withdraw my funds while waiting for the company to become part of the stock exchange, and I followed those instructions.
Despite doing everything as directed, my account was later closed for “inactivity.” This inactivity was only because I could not access or withdraw my funds due to WeShop’s own instructions. I was never warned that my account was at risk of closure, nor was I given a meaningful opportunity to prevent it.
After my account was closed, I was denied access to my account information and my balance was never returned. When I reached out on Instagram, the company simply stated that access to account information and funds “may no longer be available,” and told me to contact customer support — without addressing the facts or releasing my money.
This experience has been extremely frustrating and unfair. I have now submitted a formal complaint and will escalate this to official dispute channels (Financial Ombudsman, Trading Standards) if WeShop does not resolve it.
I would not recommend WeShop to anyone. Be cautious before using this platform — especially if you plan to withdraw funds.

Same experience as most on here DO NOT USE

Same experience as most on here, had over £3000 with them and then tried to log in and my account has gone. Apparently due to inactivity, which wouldn’t have happened had we not been waiting years for it to float and be able to actually manage the shares etc. terrible company, AVOID at all costs!

Scam

Scam! I got to £550 in shares, they suddenly moved the criteria for cashing out to 12 months. So I waited. They then closed my account for "inactivity"

This company are a bunch of scam…

This company are a bunch of scam artists. This “shareback” scheme they offered basically used the customers to pump the price up of the shares when they went public, so their investors could sell there shares whilst simultaneously not allowing any customers to withdraw any of their own. Constantly moving the goalposts, quietly changing policies. Any sort of correspondence is felt AI generated and nothing is ever resolved. Stay away from Weshop it’s a con!

Be very careful using WeShop if you are…

Be very careful using WeShop if you are building up share rewards or WePoints.

My account was closed for “inactivity” with no warning or notification whatsoever, and all accumulated share entitlement was forfeited. I wasn’t contacted before deactivation, wasn’t told about any grace period to reactivate, and had no opportunity to protect the value I’d built.

They now claim the closure is valid under their terms, despite the fact that these policies were never clearly communicated to me at the time. A “grace period” that you’re not told about is meaningless.

When a platform can silently terminate your account and wipe accrued share rewards without warning, that’s a serious trust issue.

I would strongly advise anyone considering using WeShop to understand that inactivity (even if you simply stop logging in) can result in permanent account deletion and loss of all earned benefits, with no notification and no reinstatement.

Transparency and fairness here are lacking.

Please don’t use again folks!

They tell you when your purchase something on WeShop you have to wait 12 months to get it back with shares.

WHAT THEY DO NOT TELL YOU!

What they don’t tell you is that you have to wait 12 months after they have listed on Nasdaq Capital market! So we waited 12 months for this! Now we have to wait until 14th November and THATS IF WE STILL GET OUR SHARES!!!!

Currently holding £25660 😡😡😡

Massive Scam.

Massive Scam.
I started investing and purchasing through WeShop in 2022. After three years of being unable to sell my shares or do anything other than buy more, they quietly changed their terms and conditions. Because I did not log in for three months, they decided to delete my account without any notice or warning — and conveniently, this happened right before the company went public.

Stay away. This is a Ponzi-style scheme.

Very unethical business practices

My wife and I both use WESHOP.
I still have an active account, luckily, as I have been checking on the status of my shares. But my wife's account (with over 60 shares) was deleted due to 3 months inactivity after years of building up shares. My wife could have been using another cashback site and would have at least gained access to her rewards.

Non existent customer services, not willing to engage with customers, stay away.

Absolute scam, why should an account be closed after 3 months due to inactivity after years of building it up. Please avoid these con artists at all costs!

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Just another greedy scam. I had an account for 2 years. Logged in and out after months of inactivity but they sneakily chatgpt the rules to delete my account and many others if there's inactivity for 3 months. All my shopping points vanished. Very crafty!
