Exemplary high customer service standard

Been with WESH for nearly 20 years! Solid as a rock. On the handful of occasions I needed to enquire about a potential issue, the response was always there, day and night! And all was sorted in double-quick time!
They always keep you in the loop over system updates with notifications months in advance. Likewise. with reminders for service renewals, etc.
An exemplary high standard of genuine customer service to accompany peerless web / mail hosting.

Do not use

Issues with domain transfer started as soon as previous provider switched over. Help desk unhelpful, avoided answering directly asked questions repeatedly. Help desk did not provide any constructive solutions to resolve the issue. Help desk more interested in verbal exchange constantly blaming customer for issues when customer was openly trying to solve the problem and asking help desk for help. Haven’t had access to domain since transfer.

It's such a huge shame you have ignored every bit of help we have offered you Carla.

Right from the start, you repeatedly made drastic changes to your DNS records, none of which we gave you.

You ordered a domain transfer and then changed your DNS records to ones you found online, on a different company's website, not the ones we provided you.

You repeatedly made major changes without asking us or reading anything in the emails we sent you to explain what was needed.

Our name servers are in the emails we sent you and on our helpdesk.

In a blind panic, you only changed the TAG on your domain name days before it's expiry too, weeks after ordering your transfer, so we couldn't even intervene and correct the things you kept changing.

Not once did you pickup the phone to call us either.

We could have had this resolved and sorted in one conversation, nor did you contact Microsoft 365 to sort out the issues that were affecting your emails.

We made it crystal clear prior to you ordering the domain transfer what was needed, but this was ignored.

So, on the basis of ignoring everything we provided you with, do you really feel that a 1* review is justified?

We provided you with "Constructive solutions" repeatedly, but due to those being ignored, and you not changing the TAG on the domain until the last minute, we couldn't do anything.

Nobody blamed you at all, not once. We asked you to correct the name servers on your domain name,

Business Owners have enough anxiety, stress and worries about our clients, and if we're working hard enough, so can you imagine how something this malicious feels to the 7 of us?

You ignored every piece of advice we gave you and did the exact opposite, repeatedly blaming us for it.

Yet now you feel a 1* review is justified?

Do you really feel that trying to destroy a business's hard-earned reputation over 25 years is fair?

This comes across as very malicious.

You still have not corrected the DNS records we gave you either.

You have also had 100% access to your domain since the day you changed the TAG and it was renewed through us. There is nothing preventing access to your domain name. It was YOU who changed the name servers, to the wrong ones, right on our website, back in December.

Yet you have now cancelled the domain name renewal?
So all this over a domain you don't even want to keep?

Highly recommend for domains and hosting

I'm delighted to have found WESH UK for my domains, hosting and websites. Both of my websites that I host with them have improved performance, simply by switching to their server.

They're also much better value than most other UK domain registrars and hosting providers. I'm saving money both on hosting and on renewing all my domains with them.

Not only that but their servers are in the UK, and they provide some IT support as part of your package! I also find their helpdesk easy to use and quick to respond. That in itself is worth its weight in gold.

WESH UK have become a trusted partner, not only for my websites but also for my clients. Thank you!

A first class hosting provider

WESH have provided hosting services to me for several years. They've been consistently competent, proactive, helpful. When I've had an issue, they've responded very fast and with advice that was straightforward and directly actionable. I'd recommend them without hesitation.

Very impressed with WESH UK

Very impressed with WESH UK – have moved everything across to them – my domains, hosting etc – and I’ll be doing the same for my other ‘side hustles’ as I call them. They seem to care about their customers – you don’t feel like a number in a line waiting to be served – and just the fact that I can send an email or call them and they respond quickly and attend to the issue really promptly. I’ve already recommended them to two people and I’ve only been with them a week. And I love that you get free IT help too. Only wish I’ve discovered them years ago.

Unprecedented services and great team…

Unprecedented services and great team that really taking the UK server hosting to a whole new level. I found Richard and the team very resourceful, patient and helpful. They Capitalize on every opportunity to go above and beyond to make sure your website is running at a professional level.

As a person that didn't have any background in website design or management, at first, I was not sure. But after I made the first contact with them I signed up and started using their services realised that was absolutely the right choice. They provided me with a very professional at the same time personal level customer services. Very prompt with ticket replies and the site has never had any issue with running.

Definitely don't go elsewhere and recommend them for any size businesses.

I have been a client for 7 years and WESH UK have been brilliant. Recently I had some serious issues with my website and they managed to repair and fix everything diligently and professionally. I would totally recommend WESH UK to anyone looking for help with their website. A+++

IT guy who gets it done!

WESH UK are amazing! I'm a tecnophobe but have had to overcome this somewhat due to starting my own business. WESH UK are worth every penny! I was struggling to understand all the jargon and technical things like 'plug ins'. WESH UK were very patient with me, explaining everything and it really felt like a personal service. I email them to ask them to 'fix' something, and it's done almost immediately!
Will be recommending WESH UK to everyone I know!

Ive used wesh hosting several times for…

Ive used wesh hosting several times for various sites over the past 5 years.
Any issues were sorted promptly and even when the mistake we're my fault for not having enough knowledge, they still went above and beyond to help me out.

Wesh was recommended to me over 10…

Wesh was recommended to me over 10 years ago. It was a good choice and I am glad I went with them. Over the last 10 years I have had several reasons to call for support, nothing has ever gone wrong, but when I have wanted to change things I have had outstanding support, I have contacted them and been able to get on the spot help. Some of the things I have wanted to do have been quite complicated for a novice at websites and emails, but I have always found any instructions to be clear, correct and easy to follow. I think on the one occasion I managed to loose myself, only to receive an email from Richard to tell me its all been done and updated. I have always been polite, patient and thoughtful that that Wesh maybe dealing with somebody else when I have called and I have had nothing other than polite and friendly conversations. I certainly treat people how I wish to be treated. I would recommend WESH I have and will continue to.

A company with an attitude problem

WESH UK is a hosting company with an attitude problem. Do something they don’t like and you might get a mouthful of ‘verbal’ from them!

I was a WESH customer for 11 years, but when I decided it was time to move – after another of their system updates stopped my email from working (again), I discovered what they really thought of me.

Here’s a reply from the Managing Director of WESH UK, after I requested help releasing some domains for transfer:

“Unfortunately in all the time you have been with us, you have ignored every piece of advice, every request and every notification, and had a go at us for it, and to this day not once have any of us received an apology, which has not gone un-noticed.

Paying for a service is not an automatic entitlement to treat people like dirt.
Looking after your IT needs is a 2 way partnership, not a 1 way street of 2nd rate intolerant abuse from you.

As advised, your TAG’s will be changed and we obviously wish you well, as no amount of advice is helping as you seem intent on taking your business to one of the worst, most complained about companies in the industry.

We hope you don’t treat them the same way you treated us, although we know that won’t happen, because they simply don’t care.

I was astonished at the vitriol with which the reply was written. The angry accusations and the note about not receiving an apology – What is that about?

The note is clearly from a person with anger problems that run deeper than a single customer asking for help. It’s over the top and smacks of an ‘open wound’ that needs help. However, in the context of Hosting it is worryingly unprofessional and not a good advert for them.

I wish I could say the email was an isolated incident, but I also have a 1000 word rant in my in-box (that’s 2 sides of A4). WESH seem to accumulate resentments rather than move on. It’s a bizarre business attitude. If I needed confirmation of my decision to move, I have it now.

Need more? Look at what reviewer ‘Mark’ had to say. Then look at the WESH reply. It illustrates what I have been saying – a scathing personal attack on their customer.

I believe there is a serious attitude problem just beneath the surface at WESH UK. They say they want to be personal and friendly, but in my experience that means angry emails when you leave.

I had no idea they thought of me with such scorn.

Mr Reid, as you have shown the world, there is no "Vitriol" towards you, no hate and no malice, and never has been as is clear from our message to you.

It does however seem that you have heavily edited what was said, and left out all of the abuse you have given us.
There has been no "Scathing" nor personal attacks"

In the 11 years you were with us, we replaced your server 4 times, as each server has a lifespan of around 3 years, and each time we replace a server, it is carefully planned, and every customer is notified of the up-coming server replacement, however what you seem to have left out is the fact that when we notified you of such an event, you would call us accusing us of sending you spam and junk, demanding to know "What is all this about?"

No customer, ever, has done that! Ever!

Every single time you changed things at your end and broke your own email, we would get a mouthful over the phone, to the point where we literally had to respectfully withdraw all telephone support and request that you put everything in writing, via support tickets.

We offered to help you via remote desktop too, to provide an instant fix and to see what problems you had but you said you didn't trust any of that "black magic".

You then hit us with 10x more support tickets than anybody else, constantly accusing us of breaking your email, even when nothing had happened.

Every single time you raised a support ticket, it was just a rant of abuse that contained no useful information, and every single time we asked you for information, screenshots, anything at all, we got nothing, the ticket was left for cold.

What exactly are we to do with that?

It got to a point where twice, we had to ask you politely to take your service elsewhere, as we didn't want to hear your constant abuse.

To this day, we have no idea if your email ever did have any problems at all, nor why you repeatedly felt the need to be so abusive and rude, but as we said, we hope you don't treat the next provider so poorly.

Becoming somebodies web hosting and IT company is a 2 way relationship, but sadly you treated us worse than 2nd rate slaves.
The fact that you are openly taking sides with a fellow service abuser demonstrates that.

This is something we will not tolerate.

The only host I trust with my client's websites

I am a freelance web designer and I use Wesh for all my customer's websites and have done for years. They are the only hosting company I can truly recommend without any hesitation or worry. Support is fantastic and should you hit a problem, you can speak to a real person and have it resolved. Fantastic.

Terrible service, inflexible options and system that doesn't work as advertised

If you're looking for condescending support, a system that doesn't work as advertised (and then charges you for their errors), this is the perfect host for you.
If you like being patronised, talked down to and generally treated like an inconvenience, then by all means do use WESH.
Otherwise, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a hosing company.

Our systems have done exactly what they are designed to do, at exactly the times they are set to do them.

What has not happened however, is that you have not bothered to keep an eye on your website, nor read any knowledgebase articles, nor the T&C's YOU agreed to, nor have you taken ANY precautions to protect nor keep your wordpress websites up to date at all, yet you are now trying to blame us, for your own actions and the lack of?

How are we at fault here? Seriously?

You installed the website and you chose to then ignore it and let it get out of date with no security in place, and then allowed it to get abused, so surely its YOUR choice of system that has not worked properly? Our systems have done everything they are designed to do. Our servers protected our other customers from YOUR abuse.

You then have the front to go and try to slander us, for YOUR lack of co-operation with T&C's that you agreed to abide by?

Interesting that you chose to IGNORE ALL of our terms and conditions, you have also been running multiple business websites from 1 shared hosting plan despite our T&C's clearly stating that shared hosting plans are NOT reseller plans, and you also have the front to upload wordpress websites then leave them to get out of date by 2+ years, yet when one of them gets hacked and starts eating into your resources, and generating its own malicious script usage, you blame us?

Instead of actually doing nothing to look after nor secure your websites, you simply allowed our servers to be abused by your own lack of any diligence, and have the nerve to write a 1* review?

This from a customer who sets up business websites then hides his Nominet registration details claiming to be a NON-Trading individual?
Something to hide? Not surprised you dont want people knowing where you are trading from, as I suspect there may be a lot of people trying to track you down.

We have also reported you to Nominet for trying to hide your WHOIS information when clearly operating a business from those domains, and so they will enforce the WHOIS change upon you.

Never fails to amaze us when a hosting abuser gets caught and tries to blame the host for their own problems.

Take some responsibility for your actions and start acting like an adult!
