Had an absolute whale of a time with Yaser causing chaos, reciting memes, finishing each others sentences whilst travelling Sri Lanka on the 360 tour. The camaraderie of the group really made the trip, whilst ticking off just about everything possible. The thousands of photos and videos will last a life time! Thanks Yas always will be the Dancing Queen! 😂

WeRoad is very well organized.
Accomodations in my experience are good in cheap countries and less good in western countries, but still ok.

Amazing trip in Sri Lanka with the best people!

An amazing trip with amazing people. The northern lights were magical. And our coördinator Claire did a great job.

WeRoad’s Sri Lanka trip was, overall, a fair experience due to almost half of the agenda not being completed, but positive due to the exceptional local coordinators Joe, Danni, and Mali in a time of crisis. Throughout the journey and especially during a severe cyclone Ditwah that left us isolated in Nuwara Eliya they demonstrated care and personal commitment to the group’s safety and morale.
Danni and Mali, in particular, consistently went above and beyond. Despite cyclone-caused flooding, lack of internet reception, and limited access to basic services (including hot water for some), they ventured out into flooded areas to secure food for dinner when we were stranded in an empty hotel with no connectivity. Their actions were not only logistically impressive but also deeply human, and they made a genuinely difficult situation manageable, not to mention their great judgement on whether it was safe to drive out of the town during occurring landslides and road water damage.
In stark contrast, the performance of WeRoad’s central back-office team during the crisis was very poor. Communication with concerned families and emergency contacts was inadequate, vague, and in some cases misleading. Families were reassured that everything was “under control” without being given accurate information about our actual location or situation. The breakdown was so severe that one parent felt compelled to contact the local embassy in order to obtain reliable information. This experience seriously calls into question the value of collecting emergency contact details if they are not used effectively, or at all, when they are most needed.
In summary, Joe, Danni, and Mali delivered an exceptional on-the-ground experience under extreme circumstances. However, WeRoad’s central crisis communication, coordination with emergency contacts, and support for families require significant and urgent improvement.

The groupleader did great and the people were wonderful.
Iceland is a beautiful country and this small trip was just enough to enjoy it greatly.

Our travel coordinator Noelia made this trip a beautiful yet accommodating adventure to experience a huge chunk of variety in the Philippines. Thanks to Noelia's excellent organisation, preparation and transparent communication with our group, the island hopping was not exhausting but real fun for me to enjoy with a big range of different activities like diving, boat trips, cave exploration and tarsier watching! Noelia foresaw & attended everyone's needs and personal preferences and made sure that all were feeling included in this travel together. I would want to travel with her again & highly recommend Noelia as a travel coordinator.

Great fun adventure to Costa Rica! The 360 trip covers a lot of ground but got to experience all the highlights of the country from coast to coast via the rainforest. Our travel coordinator was the best, making the trip effortless and enjoyable. I really enjoyed how active this trip was with white water rafting, hiking, ziplining. I saw lots of wildlife with the help of the local guides, ate a lot of rice and beans and bonus to make 9 new friends!

The cost of the trip was really good value for what i gor to experience and see.
The organisation and communication from start to finish was fab from our coordinator Kerry, any question was answered and any help needed she was there before and during the trip. Kerry ensured all trips, transfers, activities ran seamlessly and always had a smile on her face regardless of what time of day it was. Her spanish was invaluable when out and about.
From the moment we started she was warm, welcoming and i felt comfortable and confident having Kerry as our coordinator.
She was attentive and organised and made sure everyone was heard and felt included. She answered every question with patience no matter how many times asked.
Would deinately book another trip with Kerry again!

I recently joined the WeRoad trip to Mexico, and sadly the whole experience was extremely disappointing.
When I booked the trip, it clearly stated that accommodation was included. At no point did it mention hotel taxes, yet these were later taken out of the money pot. This felt misleading, especially when I had already paid a high price for the trip.
The hotels were honestly hostel like quality, not even one star. Many were priced at around £35 a night for two people, yet the trip itself cost £1,269 without flights. Rooms had dirty towels and stained sheets, the air conditioning leaked, there were no hairdryers, the water pressure was barely usable, and maintenance in general was extremely poor. Toilets not flashing and no privacy in some hotels, there was no door in the bathroom and no glass in the window, so we could hear everything in every room!
Breakfast was also consistently bad. Every morning we were offered only eggs. Nothing for anyone with intolerances and no choices at all.
There was no transparency about the money pot. Decisions were made without any group input, especially around tipping and extra spending.
Most hotels were far away from the activities, which meant we spent on average 7 hours on the bus each day and had to pay extra for taxis. This could have been easily avoided with better located accommodation.
In total, this trip cost me around £4,000 including flights and extras. What I received in return was low quality accommodation, one included activity and no food options. Additionally was asked to cover drivers cost as of course WeRoad did not pay to the driver living wage! In my experience, the trip did not match what was advertised and did not offer value for money.
Avoid WeRoad.

An unforgettable experience made even more amazing by the people I got to share it with. It was impossible not to have a great trip when we had a co-ordinator like Rob. He made the whole trip a walk in the park and we didn’t have to stress or worry about anything. I haven’t stopped recommending Australia and WeRoad to everyone who asks and if you manage to get Rob as a co-ordinator then it’s an added bonus. His laid back attitude and organised nature made the trip a dream and we shared some laughs I won’t forget. The whole group bonded very closely over those two weeks and we formed friendships that wont soon be forgotten. This is my second WeRoad and I guarantee that there will be many more. You can’t put a price on how well researched the trip was and all the places we went to see that I never would have discovered on my own. There is something really special about these experiences that stay with you long after they’re over that you just can’t put a price on. Here’s to many more!

Overall, this was a great trip with some unforgettable highlights and excellent support from the team.
Positives:
We were given plenty of time to pay for the trip, which made planning much easier. The support staff were always quick to reply and really helpful with any questions. When my partner’s mother became unwell, they were incredibly understanding — they refunded his trip and later allowed him to rejoin when circumstances changed, all at no extra cost. That level of flexibility and care really stood out.
I also lost my phone about two hours away, and the Ecadour team went above and beyond to help track it down — I was reunited with it quickly, which I’m extremely grateful for.
Galapagos was definitely my favourite part of the trip and created some amazing memories. A few of us also booked horse riding in Baños, and honestly, it was one of the highlights of the entire journey. It was great value, so much fun, and I’d strongly recommend adding it — Jorge and his two dogs.
Kerry was an excellent coordinator during our trip to Ecuador. Although she was not acting as a tour guide, she ensured everything was extremely well organized and ran smoothly. She was fun, helpful, and genuinely caring, with an attitude that made it feel like nothing was ever too much trouble. She was never stressed and managed the group money pot efficiently and transparently, which gave everyone confidence.
When I accidentally left my phone two hours away, Kerry calmly took charge and managed to get it back for me. On another occasion, when I thought I had lost my passport, she again remained calm, showed no annoyance, and simply got on with sorting the situation out. She never made me feel silly or awkward and handled everything with reassurance and professionalism.
Impressively, she dealt with these situations without affecting the rest of the group, seamlessly moulding solutions into the trip. I had full confidence in Kerry as my coordinator, allowing me to truly sit back and enjoy the ride. Super professional throughout.
Note to self: don’t lose things 😬
Downsides:
The itinerary was very fast-paced. We were constantly on the move, often leaving around 5am, sometimes just staying a day in each place. While manageable, it meant we never really got a proper feel for where we were, and some days felt wasted due to early departures followed by more travel.
The Amazon experience was good as an introduction, but it was slightly spoilt by the sound of cars passing by. I would have preferred trekking or boating deeper into the forest for a more authentic experience. I think I may have built this up too much in my head.
Cotopaxi was also underwhelming, possibly because I’m an avid hiker. We couldn’t hike to base camp, there was no wildlife, and it just didn’t live up to expectations.
Suggestions:
I’d recommend staying longer in Baños as there’s so much to do there. I’d also suggest skipping Cotopaxi unless hiking to base camp is included. Adding hot springs in Papallacta would be a great touch as well.
Despite a few downsides, the support, organisation, and standout experiences made this a memorable trip overall.

Ecuador was amazing, so wildly different — from Amazon rainforest and Cotopaxi Volcano National Park to the magical beaches of Galapagos with its incredible wildlife. But what made the trip truly special is the people we traveled with. Big thanks to Kerry Maskell, our weroad coordinator for a great organization and shared memories!

I just got back last week from the Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand trip. This is my third WeRoad trip. I had an amazing time on this trip, which was largely due to my fantastic travel group and our coordinator, Sam. Sam was truly incredible and did a brilliant job, but I feel the overall experience was hindered by some poor logistical planning, not the coordinator's fault at all. The primary issue was the excessive amount of time spent in transit; for instance, Day 2 involved nearly 10 hours on a very cramped bus for only a 5-hour stay at our destination. Additionally, the journey to Cambodia took 16 hours over two days, which resulted in losing two full days of the trip. Spending only 3 days in Cambodia didn't provide enough time to get a genuine feel for the country, and it felt like a waste of valuable time that could have been spent experiencing the local culture.
Furthermore, some of the stops felt far too brief. We only had one hour at Phi Phi, which was nowhere near enough time to appreciate it; an overnight stay would have been much more appropriate. While the people and the coordinator made the trip memorable, the itinerary needs to be seriously rethought. Too much time was spent on buses rather than enjoying the destinations, and I felt I missed out on the full experience because of these transit choices. I hope the company considers prioritising quality time in each location to ensure travellers get the most out of their journey.
Overall, I had a brilliant time, it was an epic trip and I made amazing new friends. I highly recommend doing a WeRoad trip.

One word: WOW. The best trip I’ve ever taken. An incredible journey through Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand, led by the amazing Sam Nead - hands down the best tour leader I’ve had. Everything was seamless, support was always there, and I came away with memories and friends for life.
