Ditch Wenzels Poole store

The new Poole store was eagerly anticipated by many. Unfortunately that eagerness has definitely waned. When they first opened it was great, good atmosphere, good food, good service. I don’t know why things changed, but I suspect it coincided with a new store manager coming on board. The food is ok, but I’m not joking when I say I watched this manager “javelin” a customer’s baguette behind the counter, in front of the customer! Unbelievable. I’ve noticed that morale must be very low there, as the turnover of staff is phenomenal. Nobody seems to stay very long before walking or being fired instantly. A friend’s daughter got a part time job there, she lasted 2 days and quit, probably because of the new manager, who doesn’t seem to like cheerful people, and I’m not going there anymore because I want staff to appreciate my custom and give me a smile as they take my money. I must be old fashioned (I am 60 after all) but come on Wenzels, this is absolutely not up to par!
My advice to anyone reading this would be
“go to Greggs” quite honestly.

Charged twice and no refund

Charged eat in prices instead of take away. When I spoke to the person behind the counter charged me the take out price. Then I was told the first transaction was cancelled and would be refund to my account in 3 to 5 days. That was 11 days ago, and guess what no refund!
I complained online no response.

So I have had to contact my credit card company to obtain my £9.30. Avoid them like the plague robbers.

Wenzels West Drayton town

Wenzels West Drayton town.

Sausage rolls dry and burnt. Tasted so disgusting I through it away. The staff are so careless they dont even care about the state of the food they sell. Dry and hard to bite in to is perfectly fine to them. Poor standards I can only guess their negligence in regard to food effects the quality of their staff hygiene. I threw what i brought from wenzels away and ate lunch at Kays Kitchen in west drayton instead where they actually care about the food and would be embarressed to serve up what Wenzels do. Utterly disgusting

Disappointed

You guys need to visit Greg's and get an idea on how to run your business. How hard can a sausage bap be to make?!

Just butter your shoe.

They used to be good many years ago but now charge too much for stale buns or greasy foul tasting sausage rolls and pies.
I have also spoken to head office who are rude and take customers concerns as a personal attack to what they consider to be an excellent product. “ Make them eat cake “!

Bacon not cooked properly. Forgotten items

Ordered from Uber Eats from the Southampton branch. Been wanting to try for a while. Well tried once and won't use again. Ordered 2 breakfast wraps and the wraps looked like they had been folded by children. Bacon wasn't cooked properly. Also forgot to put the hot drink in even though the receipt that was stapled to the bag and in capital letters says 'HOT DRINK'. Do the staff not tick off what's going in the bag? Anyway tried and won't be using again. Stick to Greggs, people.

Stale cakes

First ever visit and cakes were very dry, probably the previous days. Expensive as well so won’t go there again. Interesting that company do not respond to negative reviews here so you can only think that they do not care.

The manager of Portsmouth store Alex is…

The manager of Portsmouth store Alex is homophobic, transphobic and a racist . All of this has been reported to upper management by all staff members and evidence was provided with cctv footage and audio . But then upper management do nothing , it is the worst company to work for DO NOT SUPPORT THEM . Do not buy the fairy cakes cos they have probably been there for months , not much is fresh apart from the bread. Also there bakes aren’t even their own .
