Wenea ev charging machines are easy to use with the app and there are plenty of them. Customer services also sorted out an issue I had so would highly recommend them. Mike driveaclass.com

Wenea prices in plymouth is absolutely crazy 0.78 pence a kw .
A car with capacity of 100kw cost 78 pounds will show on car dashbord 450 miles range however that is not the reality and with lucky you may do 200 miles so in the end cost more than fuel a lot more . Electric is good if owner can charge at home otherwise stay away because you will be rip off

Overpriced for a start, had to use my bank card again to get charger to disconnect vehicle which incurred a further £40 hold on my card. Still not released 25 days later. Utterly ridiculous that anyone should have to wait this long for a refund that other companies can process in minutes. They have not even informed the card company to release the hold on it. Guessing they will wait the statutory 30 days without doing anything then my card issuer will rectify it. They are just sitting on peoples money unnecessarily. These chargers are brand new, freshly designed machines. They should be capable of processing a simple transaction cancellation within a sensible timeframe. Not like it takes 30 days for a refund from my local paper shop, or the butchers…

Still waiting for £80 refund, after 3 weeks. They don’t respond to emails, do not answer the phone, they blame the banks, but this is rubbish. Every time we tried to charge, we had these problems, and had to chase up refunds, that is when you can find one that works. You even get charged when they don’t work. I think their business is about holding your money, not providing an EV service. Will never drive an EV again.
Update: the £80 is NOT a pre-authorisation, it has GONE from my bank, and my balance has been debited £80 for 4 weeks now - how do you get away with this ?

Iv had non stop problems with being able to charge. Originally they where great and aloud me to charge and pay monthly. I had a problem with my money one month and explained that I will pay all at once when I got paid. Wich I did in full. I was trying to charge my car at 4 am this morning for a very important hospital appointment for my heart. I am classed as disabled and they knew this I was left to walk home even tho I was offering to pay. I missed the appointment and nearly froze to death
Very easy and fast to work with it was a safe zone in Barcelona right by the beach! We had filled a few wrong stuff so we had to contact the company after and that was also super fast and good service!

I recently charged at a wenea charge point in Devon great service took a deposit charged and swiped card again to complete had no app but it worked well down side refund of difference still haven't received it. I have seen on other reviews that they blame the banks for the delay but I have used many other ev suppliers using the same method and have all refunded within 4 hours come on wenea missed on 5 stars for sloppy refunds I will repost to let you know how long it took

Plymstock Broadway. Multiple attempts. Card reader not working. App not working. These chargers are abysmal. Other customers having equal pain. Don’t bother

The app is useless.
So difficult to create an account and then get called by my banks fraud department and find i have about 7 incorrect charges totalling well over 100GBP.
This is typical of company's that insist on you using an app.
Stay away from this company.

I had my first successful charge with Wenea on 7 January and was correctly charged £9.61 for the electricity that I used on the following day.
It's our that now on 10 January the residue of my £25 deposit has still not been returned to me.

Been charged 3x£40 as was having issues charging. So having read the reviews can only hope it’s refunded. I’ll update my review once I know more.

I have been charged 25£ x 2 so £50 in total. It took the 25£ deposit the first time and could not charge the car so I tried again what a mistake. I’m £50 down and still no refund. I will not use them again. Disappointing compared to Scottish power and others. Stay away.

Every time I use one of their charge points it stops charging after about 10 minutes. I’ve reported the issue many times but it never gets resolved.
Occasionally one of their chargers in the city will work properly, but most of the time I return to my car and it’s only been charged a few percent.

Easy to use, great availability and brilliant price - its a shame the cable I use will only charge at 11kw and not 22kw.

Whilst I never had an issue on this occasion I’m extremely annoyed with the fact you’re still taking extortionate pre orthrisation amounts. You need to look into this with immediate effect. People cannot afford this. I had problems where the machine kept stopping and you took 4 payments of £25 and I had to wait 8 days for the money to be refunded. I. Financial crisis like we are experiencing in the uk I feel this is an archaic and ridiculous approach. Your company is expanding in our city if plymouth and this pre charge as well as ye fact its75 pence per kw is daylight robbery. You’re putting people off from getting an electric car for those who need to rely on the local infrastructure.
You should only take one preauthorisation fee when a person registers to your app on the very first use. This is serious and urgent issue with using Wenea. I will continue ti campaign with our local council about this and would appreciate an urgent resolution rather than a battle. Come Wenea review your preauthorisation terms and conditions and take in to consideration that people and especially young families cannot afford this to happen.
Chargers work fine but are far too expensive to be used cheaper to use diesel or petrol

The first charging point worked well enough to charge me the £25 deposit but then didn’t charge. I manoeuvred into a different bay and this charging point charged me a further £25 deposit. It then charged me a further £50 during the charge. The actual charge cost was £36 (still comparatively expensive) but my bank account was down £100. Soon after charging completed the £50 was adjusted to the correct amount of £36 so that’s a win!! This took place on Sunday, it’s now Friday and I still haven’t been refunded the 2 x £25 deposit!! Wenea gonna sort out a fairer charging arrangement???

Easy to use but to expensive , petrol cheaper to run unfortunately.

The chargers are so temperamental , and you always take two or three holding deposit off my account before the charge actually works.
