Printing new cards on the spot

Wells Fargo does not print out new debit cards when you come to the branch. Almost every other bank has done this for me. According to Google this is something they once did but stopped to cut back on overhead costs. Sounds really cheap to me considering the bank. 10/10 would not bank here.

I am extremely disappointed with Wells…

I am extremely disappointed with Wells Fargo and the way my account issue was handled.

My account was frozen due to transactions that were initially flagged as potentially fraudulent. I fully cooperated and verified that the transactions were legitimate. Despite confirming this with Wells Fargo, I still cannot access my money.

On the first day, I spent over two hours at a branch while employees tried to figure out the issue. Nobody seemed to understand why I was being blocked from accessing my own funds, and no solution was provided.

The next day, I spent nearly the entire day dealing with this problem. I was at a branch from approximately 9:00 AM until noon, and then continued trying to resolve the issue through calls and additional branch visits. A corporate representative told me to have the branch manager contact them so they could verify the information and help resolve the matter. However, the branch manager refused to assist further, and other employees were unwilling or unable to help.

I then went to another Wells Fargo branch and spent several more hours there, only to be told that nothing could be done. I requested to close my account and withdraw my money, but Wells Fargo would not allow me to do that either. Instead, I was told I would have to wait until Friday.

The most frustrating part is that Wells Fargo has already verified that the transactions in question were not fraudulent, yet I am still being denied access to my funds. As a result, I have been unable to pay for basic necessities for my family and handle important personal expenses.

The lack of communication, accountability, and customer service has been unacceptable. No customer should have to spend multiple days, countless hours, and visits to multiple branches just to access their own money. Based on my experience, I have lost confidence in Wells Fargo and will be moving my banking elsewhere as soon as I am able

I have been a customer of this…

I have been a customer of this establishment since 2016. I submitted a claim, which was initially denied. Subsequently, I informed your team that the claim was no longer necessary as the merchant was processing a refund for the transaction. Despite this notification, funds were disbursed to me, resulting in an overpayment. Approximately three months later, a request for the return of these funds was issued, contradicting a prior denial letter stating that no payment would be sent. On March 3rd of this year, the overpaid amount was recovered by your organization. Currently, I am being asked to return these funds again, despite the fact that the case was officially closed two weeks prior, and any further correspondence was to be disregarded, as confirmed on a recorded call. I am seeking clarification regarding my legal options in this matter.

We have had an account here for some…

We have had an account here for some years now, and just the past 2-3 years money has mysteriously gone missing, we've been overdrawn when we shouldnt have been and no one can provide an answer about any of it. I'm going to be switching banks soon. We are putting in thousands of dollars and still somehow it's never enough. The workers cant provide an explanation about why our overdrafts aren't showing on the statements and customer service is as bad as the workers. Something fishy is on with Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo is Unethical

After encouraging me to use the Wells Fargo credit card they lowered my credit line to my current balance despite the fact that I have never missed a payment and my financial situation hasn’t changed. In essence, Wells Fargo turned my credit card into a personal loan with 30% interest. There should be a law against this loan shark type activity.

I chose Wells Fargo simply from greed

I chose Wells Fargo simply from greed . WF offered a new checking account incentive ( 450). First the WF agent sent in correct info to Social security Administration to begin Direct deposit. Second the benefit bounced around their system for two weeks. Them returned to Govt. WF did NO legwork trying to help me with this lost check. It was all me for days. Third," Someone" opened a new checking account in my name with my info. I was investigated for fraudulent activity. Last but certainly not least. I was given 300 dollar overdraft " cushion" used it once overdrew by 9.54. Charged 35.00 fee with excuses that they only refund fees once per year of overdraft if above 50.00. They use outdated system in California for processing which automatically put West Coasters 3 hours behind on transactions of any kind. Nothing but one BIG headache with Wells inFargo. Avoid at all cost. Believe me They shouldn't even be in business. Recently fined millions because employees opening accounts in other people's names to Satisfy quotas on pushing new accounts for WF. Avoid at all cost !

Run away from these losers…

Wells Fargo is the most disruptive unhelpful bank I have ever experienced. They wrap themselves in rules and fees that contradict the rules as stated on their website. I have been with Wells Fargo for years but they refused a straight deposit of a check to my mother's account because it was written from a canadian bank she has been doing this monthly for years and now she is sick and unable to go to the bank directly. Anyone who uses this bank deserves to be screwed by them. I physically hate them.

Wish I could leave WF

I have been a WF customer since way back in the Wachovia days…over 30 years. The new AI interface when calling is HORRIBLE! There is hardly any way to speak to someone. I don’t need to speak to someone for simple issues but the automated algorithm can never assist me as my needs are too unique. They then put you on hold for 15-20 minutes. That’s wrong. Today, I was directed to the wrong place and I explained this to the woman that answered. When I told her that her department was not what I needed, she rudely responded with an “One moment please” and put me on hold. I have never experienced such horrible customer service. There is absolutely NO NEED to frustrate customers in this way.

Wells Fargo Denied My $35K Fraud Claim Until the CFPB Intervened

In April, I was a victim of identity theft. Hackers accessed my laptop, took over my Wells Fargo account, and used Bill Pay to transfer $35,000 out of my Wells Fargo Checking account.
When I immediately reported the fraud, Wells Fargo’s customer support was lukewarm, reluctant, and completely negligent. They did zero investigation and quickly denied my fraud claim, falsely claiming the transfer was authorized because it came from a "valid device."
I had to do all the detective work myself. I tracked down the destination institution, Interactive Brokers (IBKR), and contacted them. Even though I was not their customer, Interactive Brokers was incredibly helpful. They acted immediately to freeze the account, disconnect the hackers' devices, and secure my $35,000 intact.
I filed reports with the LAPD, the FBI (IC3), and Identity Theft.gov. Even after I handed Wells Fargo the police reports and fraud case numbers, they refused to lift a finger. Interactive Brokers literally told me, "The money is safe; we just need Wells Fargo to contact us to request the return." Wells Fargo still refused to cooperate.
Out of options, I filed an official complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Only after the federal government intervened did Wells Fargo’s Executive Office finally call me. Two days later, they finally contacted Interactive Brokers and returned my money.
Wells Fargo will abandon you if you are a victim of cybercrime. A company where I didn't even have an account did more to protect my money than Wells Fargo did. Move your money elsewhere.

Wells Fargo is the Worst Small Business Bank in the USA

This bank steals money by holding a small business account hostage. First of all, you think you are "wiring money" but they hoid it up to a week, interest free while charging you $25 if you do it online, $35 if you are crazy enough to think you can speak with their minimum wage employee in person and have them do it. Minute you "send a wire" they take your money, but your client won't see funds. Wells Fargo Bank is the worst bank for small businesses in the USA

Absolute worst bank

Absolute worst bank. Not helpful. They offer services like Zelle payments but won’t let you make them. Regardless of their limits allowed, they just deny you payments. I’m on hold now, 31 minutes and counting, trying to get this resolved. Waste of time. Bank anywhere else.

I regret opening an account at Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo is the WORST bank experience I had. I opened a credit card with them cause I thought the cash back was good, even though I saw they have horrible reputation. I really regret this decision. My card was wrongly charged. It took 6.5 months to recover this amount and involved filing with CFPB and calling Wells Fargo 20+ times and wasting many hours. This bank has the worst customer experience and its staff are rude and don't know how to do their job.

Horrendous customer service

Through no fault of my own, I had to have a new debit card issued. I was assured that all I had to do was “click on the link” to add the card to my digital wallet. I followed the steps, and the Wells Fargo app assured me of success! I try to use it - nope. Need the security code. Back to customer service, who assures me that they cannot provide ANY of this information for “security” reasons. Yet, bear in mind, they’re sending your replacement card through the U.S. MAIL, which is about as secure as my cousin’s tree house. They refuse to allow me to PAY to have the card overnighted - the response to that request is “that option is not available”. HOW ODD. IT WAS OVERNIGHTED TO ME IN THE PAST. This bank probably isn’t any worse than the other banking giants, but that doesn’t change the fact that they lie to you and provide no access to YOUR MONEY. When asked how one is supposed to have access to their own money, the response is just what you’d expect from a company with one and one-half stars on customer service rating. “ sorry about that”.

I was totally ripped off by this bank

I was totally ripped off by this bank. I don't have an atm card with this bank, so my only access to any of my funds would be by actually entering the bank to make my withdrawals. This bank is stating that I'm -220.00 in my account when I can't take more than I have in my account. I don't have a checking account of any kind with this bank. This error is through there system and I'm being charged for their banking errors. I would advise no one even use this banking company because they are total thieves.
