$600 bundle, curled cards and disappointing customer support

I spent $600 on a Cyberpunk TCG Kickstarter bundle. I opened it on the day of delivery, and all my cards were already curved: the non-foil cards bent slightly in one direction, while the foils bent much more noticeably in the opposite direction.

I contacted support and provided photos. A WeirdCo staff member told me that the cards were still tournament-playable, but I did not take a screenshot, and I can no longer access the ticket to obtain written proof of that statement. Humidity differences were offered as an explanation, but no replacement or other practical solution was offered during the exchange.

This leaves me disappointed on two levels. As a collector, receiving visibly curled cards is not the quality I expected from a $600 bundle. As a player, I am concerned that the difference between the foil and non-foil cards could make them distinguishable in a sleeved deck and cause problems during a tournament.

I requested an official, signed confirmation that my cards were tournament legal in their current condition, so I could present it to an organizer or judge. This was refused because such a letter could reportedly be open to abuse. I remain concerned that a judge inspecting the cards in person could reach a different conclusion...

For transparency, I used profanity out of frustration, received a warning, and subsequently apologized. I agreed that the ticket could be closed while making clear that I did not consider the issue resolved to my satisfaction. It was then closed, and I can no longer access the original conversation, including the statement about tournament playability.

I received no apology for the condition in which the cards arrived. The response felt dismissive, and the discussion ended without a practical remedy.

Being told that the cards are playable does not address my disappointment as a collector or resolve my concerns as a tournament player. I am disappointed with both the physical quality of the cards I received and the handling of my complaint.

Damaged starter decks, replacement refused, even after reporting the issue to their manufacturer

I backed the Cyberpunk TCG on Kickstarter (Padre's Blessing pledge) and received the first wave on September 21st, 2026. The shipping box arrived intact, but all 4 starter decks had damaged, open packaging.
In the TCG world, a sealed product with open packaging has lost most of its value. I asked WeirdCo support (Discord ticket) for undamaged replacements. They refused, calling it a transit issue, even though the outer box was undamaged.
The contradiction: in the same ticket, WeirdCo staff wrote that they "passed on the feedback to the manufacturer" about the starter deck issues, but that this "does not change our policy or decision". So the problem is serious enough to report to the factory, but not serious enough to replace the damaged products for the backers who paid for them.
Other backers have reported similar damage on Reddit and in the Kickstarter comments, with the same outcome. WeirdCo raised more than $28 million from over 50,000 backers and constantly says how much it cares about its fans. This is not what caring looks like.
Don't count on WeirdCo's support if something is wrong.
