Disappointing Hosting, Only Cheap Domains

I've been a WEDOS customer for a while, and I feel it's only fair to share my experience — especially to warn others who are considering them for hosting.

Let me start with the user interface: WEDOS still uses an outdated, clunky control panel that feels like it belongs in 2010. Navigating it is frustrating, unintuitive, and painfully slow. In an age where sleek, responsive, and easy-to-use interfaces are the norm, WEDOS is seriously behind.

Then there’s the customer support, which is simply not good enough. Every time I’ve had an issue, it took ages to get a response. And when I finally did get one, it was often a copy-pasted reply that didn’t really help. There's no real sense of urgency or care for the customer. If you run into a serious problem, be prepared to wait — and hope for the best.

Now to the core of the problem: their hosting services. To put it bluntly — they're terrible. The shared hosting is unstable, with frequent outages and poor performance. The VPS offerings are overpriced for what you get. There are constant issues, and the reliability just isn’t there. If you're planning to run anything serious, you’ll regret using their hosting.

In my case, services have gone offline more than once with no warning, and even when issues were reported, they were either ignored or brushed off with a generic excuse. I’ve tried both their standard hosting and VPS, and both were a disappointment.

The only redeeming factor — and the only reason I’m giving them two stars instead of one — is that their domain prices are relatively affordable. If you just want to register or manage domains, WEDOS might be a viable option. Their domain-related services are basic, but they work. Just don't expect anything beyond that.

To sum it up:
✅ Cheap domains
❌ Outdated interface
❌ Slow and unhelpful support
❌ Unstable hosting services
❌ Overpriced VPS with bad performance

Unless you’re only looking to buy domains, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. WEDOS is not worth the time, effort, or money when it comes to hosting

Account blocked and unable to access my domain names

I transferred around 10 domains to them, renewed my domains and paid for each and every invoice. They have blocked my account and not given me any reason. From the last 15 days I am politely requesting them to allow me access to my account, but every time I get the same reply that they are looking into it. I waited patiently but there has to be a limit.

New customer leaving them IMMEDIATELY.

As a new customer (5days) I have had nothing but robot like responses from their “24/7” online help. Their agents are robots trained to answer queries like a Hollywood script. I’m disgusted when I have to do something in administration area or deal with the constant pingpong email to and forth to sort out a simple query. They are not very user friendly, They have most of their website in Czech language whilst professing to be a global hosting organisation……yeah, right, and I’m the tooth fairy.

I advised them (Jiří Stach) that I am IT illiterate and a virgin novice at setting up my email hosting. My queries were explicit and all I got was a Hollywood script response from Jiří Stach without any explanation of my email. Asking me what I do not understand when I made it quite clear that I do not understand how to implement his robot like responses and he should be more explicit. I would have expected a little more empathy. But, how naive of me. Maybe they should have paid attention when I said that I need an “email setup for dummies” kind of assistance.

Needless to say, because of this, I cannot get my new business communication up and running meaning I’m losing money. Thank goodness I have the option of migrating my web hosting and email hosting elsewhere. I don’t mind the extra expense moving. What I wanted was empathy and support from their tech support and all I got was a table tennis match of email responses. Thank goodness I don’t run my business like that.

Bravo Jiří Stach, you just drove a brand new customer away. Well done.

As an aside comment……I notice that WEDOS does not even respond to comments on Trustpilot to at least respond to both negative and positive comments. Their customer service and marketing sux. Way to go WEDOS (or is that CHAOS)

Horrible experience with Wedos, only stayed for a few years with them.

In just a matter of a few years Wedos has increased their prices more than quadruple! In 2018 I paid about 200 CZK for a year of unlimited webspace and this year they wanted almost 1000 CZK from me. Outrageous!

I complained but they gave me some story about increased parameters and security... it was bullcrap to me, I never asked for any changes and was happy with the services I signed up for in the beginning.

99 out of 100 regular people with a small to medium website will never use the increased parameters.

And to top it all off I had to learn about the latest crazy price hike in 2022 when my webspace was about to expire and I went to renew the package. I was not even properly informed about the change well in advance this time. So to my shock I suddenly discovered the price was DOUBLED compared to the year before and I had to do some last minute scrambling which was a very frustrating experience and the least customer-friendly thing a company can do in my view. After some digging it turned out the increased price announcement was sneakily hidden somewhere at the end of a long-winded blogpost which I'm sure most people didn't read.

I cancelled my webspace package and moved to a different provider in Czechia with far more sensible prices and much better customer service.

Don't use Wedos

Since they stoped offering chat support, the service is going terrible. No one will help you in case of a problem.

I had good previous experience, was hosting there for 10 years, now I don't recommend.

We are trying to migrate a website, the guy responsible doesn't pay any attention to it, we always settle a date a nd time when we will migrate and then he don't even respond nor actually do the job.

Not happy, at all

Some of my clients are using their hosting services. I'm always disgusted when I have to do something in administration area. They are not very user friendly, at all. SSL Let's Encrypt is everywhere for free, but Wedos will start charging extra fee for "HTTPS support under domain SNI". When my clients did Wordpress backup, Wedos requested them to delete backups, because the hosting is not a storage... very unusual. When you will ask customer support for help, they just drop you a link with help text content, so yes, you have to do it yourself! In other words: The support is DIY. Sometime their notification messages are not correct, example: "There is a problem with Let's encrypt server", so I tried different company and Let's encrypt SSL was generated and activated smoothly.

Good and reliable hosting company with very competitive prices, i recommend.

I've been hosting with Wedos for about 1 year, my server was never offline, i didn't have any problems whatsoever, they also have 24/7 live chat...they could improve a bit on their english and maybe add an english version of the website but other than that i have nothing else to complain about.

I have a friend who is hosting with them for 2years+, he hasn't had any problems with them either.

Quality services at good prices with no hidden fees.
