I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Wed2B, both in-store and afterwards.
I originally emailed customer services to complain about this experience on 27 June, but despite waiting weeks, I have still not received any response. The complete lack of communication has only reinforced my opinion of the company's customer service.
I was recently a bridesmaid for my brother's wedding and we purchased our bridesmaid dresses from the Newcastle store. I usually wear a size 8/10, so I tried on a size 10 in-store and it fit well, with a little room to spare. I specifically asked about the sizing and was told it was true to standard high street sizing. Despite this, the sales assistant strongly recommended that I order a size 12.
I questioned this several times because the size 10 already felt roomy, but the assistant insisted that the dresses used for trying on are stretched and that a sample-size 10 would fit like the size 12 I should order. Although this completely contradicted being told the dresses were "true to size", I trusted the professional advice I was given.
When the dress arrived, it was far too big.
I returned to the store hoping they could help, but instead I was met by the manager, who was immediately dismissive and unsympathetic. Rather than listening to what had happened, she repeatedly told me I had signed the contract and that the decision was mine. I found this incredibly frustrating considering I had followed the advice of their own staff.
She also stated that all dresses are expected to be altered after purchase, something that was never mentioned during the fitting. If customers are expected to budget for alterations regardless, this should be made clear before ordering, especially when staff are actively advising on sizing.
To make matters worse, my mam had phoned the store beforehand and was told they would be happy to measure the dress to check it had been made correctly. When I attended with the dress, this offer was never followed through.
What upset me most wasn't just ending up with the wrong size dress—it was the complete lack of empathy and accountability afterwards. Our family spent thousands of pounds with Wed2B on a wedding dress and multiple bridesmaid dresses, yet once the sale had been made there seemed to be no interest in helping resolve an issue caused by the advice of their own staff.
I have now had to pay additional money to have the dress altered because I trusted the advice I was given. Between the incorrect sizing advice, the dismissive attitude in-store, and the complete lack of response to my complaint, I cannot recommend Wed2B and certainly won't be using them for my own wedding next year
I had the most amazing experience finding my wedding dress from Wed2B Hull! From the moment I walked in, Tara made me feel so welcome, comfortable, and special.. There was none of those pushy sales tactics! She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and really helped me find my perfect dress
The selection of dresses were beautiful, and they helped me find the perfect gown that made me feel confident and truly like a bride. The whole experience was relaxed, enjoyable, and completely stress-free!
I can’t thank Tara enough! I would recommend this shop to any bride-to-be without hesitation. Absolutely 10/10 service from start to finish!
The whole thing was great from start to finish. I was greeted and served by Tilly who was fantastic. She was patient, helpful and so lovely. She listened and helped with my indecisiveness and found the most perfect dress for me. I ended up with a dress and a veil for such a good price too!
Nikola and the girls at the Ocean Terminal store were fantastic. Highly recommend them. Made me feel at ease!
Went to Wed2B in hull today (12th July) and they were all so lovely and helpful. Tried on several different dresses and styles and they were all so beautiful. I think I have found my wedding dress. It was the first one I tried on but I had it in my favourites for months. When I came out in it my mum, sister and stepsister had tears in their eyes I felt like a princess in it.
Tara was so lovely and helpful.

What a lovely experience visiting the Glasgow store today. My assistant Maria couldn’t have been more helpful , she definitely went above and beyond to make sure I had the right dress. Today I said yes to the dress and I couldn’t be happier , it’s perfect , thank you so much 💕💕
Shannon was lovely and made me feel really at ease, tried on two dresses and found the one. I said yes to my dress!! The girls are amazing at this store and really listen to what you’re looking for. Would highly recommend. ❤️

You don’t need to get all the extras, you get swept up in the moment and before you know it you’re paying for makeup bags and things that are expensive and you don’t need. Also don’t believe them when they say you need the underskirt. Again it’s an expense you don’t need and you’ll feel like a sweaty sausage. Staff were good though.

The staff made this experience such a joyous one, I felt really looked after and I had alot of fun finding my dress. It went so smoothly, staff were warm, their experience in the Drumcondra store in Dublin put me at ease and I knew I was in good hands. I would highly recommend all brides visit wed2b!

I visited Wed2b Liverpool as my first bridal shop and did not expect to leave with a dress the same day! The lovely Marg listened to me and just knew exactly what I needed. The staff were very knowledgeable and attentive, and ensured the dress was perfect before saying yes! Thank you Wed2b

I said yes to the dress in the Manchester store yesterday. It was an amazing experience and Chloe was just brilliant. She listened to what I liked and didn't like and found some gorgeous dresses for me to try on. Chloe was very friendly as were all the ladies in the shop. I didn't want the experience to end as I had such a lovely time. Would highly reccomend!

Visited Arndale branch. Already had my dress, just needed a veil. The first woman who welcomed us wasn’t great, appeared to be the boss. Anyway, a lovely lady called Millie took over… she was really friendly and helpful, the 2 starts are literally for her, wouldn’t have given any otherwise! Anyway, chose veil, got to till and the bossy lady took over. Was fuming that I wouldn’t pay more for a box and hanger for veil! Millie asked if she should wrap it lightly in tissue and this boss insisted she didn’t and told her just to put it in bag. This women then asked Millie if the other woman was going to buy the ribbon… Millie said no, but she did offer it… the boss was clearly annoyed about this. I felt like it was all about the upsell… not by Millie but my the boss… on a side note… the veil cost £75… had I known that I wouldn’t have bought it… I wouldn’t advise anyone else to pay this price, can get exactly the same standard from Shein!
