Avoid at All Costs

Avoid at All Costs – Scam Company

I strongly advise against using this moving company. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare, and I believe this operation borders on being a scam. Here are the facts:

False Delivery Promises: I was told the delivery would take 2–3 days. It took three weeks, with no proper updates or confirmation on delivery time until the very last minute. I was left completely in the dark.

Dodgy Extra Charges: They tried to charge me £300 extra, claiming my shipment was over the weight limit by 100kg. I had weighed each box myself before pickup and know for a fact this was impossible. It felt like a deliberate attempt to squeeze more money.

Terrible Communication: Getting any sort of update or response from them was a nightmare. Most of my messages and calls were ignored or answered vaguely.

Damaged Goods: Several of my items arrived broken. No explanation, no apology, and no compensation offered.

No Accountability: When I raised concerns, I was met with silence. No one took responsibility or even tried to resolve the issues.

In summary: Dishonest practices, hidden fees, zero customer service, and damaged belongings. Don’t make the same mistake I did — stay far away from this company.

Awful Experience - Do NOT recommend and will NOT use again

Having recently relocated from the UK to the Netherlands, we used this company to help move a few bits of furniture. A few things to note: the 'service' highlights that "we use high quality materials to protect your furniture during transit". This was most certainly NOT the case. The van turned up in the allocated time slot we were given but there was hardly any room in the van and the young man literally flung our little furniture into the van with little respect and once received (finally, another story!) it was covered in black oil stains. Delivery time is a JOKE. We were told that the typical delivery time was 2-4 days, with a maximum of 7 days worse case scenario. We were provided with a tracking link and then we heard nothing. We chased SEVERAL TIMES, communication is very poor, and was eventually told the van had broken down and was getting fixed. I understand these things happen but can see by other reviews that this seems like quite a regular occurrence! The whole process for our furniture to be delivered was OVER A MONTH. Will definitely not be using again and will not be recommending to anybody.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!!
I was promised a professional move between 8am and 7pm and in the evening they called the van broke down and will arrange replacement. My request to do it another day (as it was late) was declined. This resulted in a move in a middle of the night by people threatening me to pay more money otherwise they would not unpack the van. I paid and when my stuff was in the house, I realized all my furniture was severely damaged. The move was done by aggressive amateur man and van and caused a lot of distress. THIS IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL REMOVAL COMPANY. I filed a complaint and now the company is ignoring my calls and they are not doing anything to come to a solution.
Update April 2025 : They eventually did come back to me denying everything. It was very stressful and mentally abusing, I still have nightmares at times of this bad experience.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I sent an enquiry through their website for a full packing and moving service. Moving from Cheshire, England to Conwy County, Wales. I received a message asking for videos of the items to be included in the move, which I duly sent in. I then received a quote of £2700.
Move dates were finally narrowed down for the second week in September. WeCare Removals asked for £200 to be sent via bank transfer with a further £500 to be sent once a specific day was confirmed. They do not accept card payments. The balance was due the day before the move, again by bank transfer, and it was only when I received the final invoice that I realised the quote had not included VAT meaning that £2700 became £3240. After rechecking the emails I received from the company, I found at the bottom of their signature, a line to the effect that VAT is excluded from quotes. This really should be made clear in the main body of the emails.
All that aside, I paid the full amount requested and looked forward to finally moving. In the later emails from WeCare Removals they had stated that I could expect 2 teams of 3-4 people, this to me means 6-8 people, nope, 3 people turned up on the day. These 3 people were also not expecting to pack! After explaining that I had paid for a full packing and moving service, 2 of the men commenced packing while 1 got on the phone to the office. The office contacted me and stated that I had only paid for a moving service and that if I wanted them to pack it would cost £1200 + VAT which I would be expected to pay there and then. I argued that I had paid for a full packing and moving service, their reply was ‘check your emails, it does not say anything about packing’. I did check my emails, and it didn’t say anything about packing however it also didn’t say that it was for moving only and as I had sent a request for a full packing and moving service, why would I expect the quote to be for anything else? They wouldn’t budge, they said if I didn’t pay they would leave the job, I didn’t have the cash available and they would not accept credit card payment. I had to phone around family to beg to borrow the money. I felt like I was being held to ransom. What can you do on the day that you are moving?
Then as if that wasn’t enough, mid afternoon I received an email (luckily I had been checking my emails throughout the day) saying that the packers/movers had contacted the office and that everything was not going to fit in on the 2 vans that they had sent. If I wanted all of my items to go, I had to pay another £2700 + VAT for a ‘2nd trip’. I immediately got on the phone to WeCare Removals stating that I had sent the video clips of my items and that if they had made a mistake in their estimates, this should not be laid at my door. Bear in mind that between the time of the videos being sent and the day of the move, I had disposed of some items of furniture so they had less to take than originally planned. Again they stated that if I did not pay the extra, they would not complete the job.,
Absolutely no way was I paying that. I went on Facebook making an urgent plea for help, did a Google search and found a wonderful gentleman who came out within the hour to collect the items that WeCare Removals would not take. He stored them overnight and delivered them the next day, all for only £400. Still extra that I shouldn’t have had to pay but far less than the £2700 + VAT that WeCare Removals tried to extort out of me.
The final problem was that due to the delays and the minimal amount of packers the company had sent, it was getting late in the day and the estate agents where I needed to collect the keys from was due to close before I would be able to get there. I contacted them explaining the problems encountered and the manager very kindly said she would wait behind for me. Luckily for her, it was only an extra 30 minutes.
I have nothing bad to say about the guys that actually did the packing. While it was a bit haphazard, everything got there and they worked non stop all day, finally leaving the new place about 9.30 pm.
A day that I thought was going to cost £2700 ended up costing £5080. I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They made an already stressful day into an absolute nightmare.

Awful experience which led us to peruse a CCJ

The UK courts have issued a CCJ against this company. And they have still not paid us the money legally owed to us. The company gave us an incorrect quote and then charged us an extra £4k to get our stuff to us. We felt totally scammed :(

£150 paid but no delivery

£150 paid but no delivery of items! I booked for this company to dismantle and bring a dining table from my old property and bring it to my new property. I stated up front that I would need to know the time slot in advance because I now live 1 hour away from the old property. They told me that I would be informed of the time slot the day before the booking. They repeatedly sent me reminders to pay the £150 deposit, which I did in order to confirm my preferred booking date. Then the day before the move, they did not let me know the time slot, even though I had explained that I do not live there! The next day they arrived at my old property at 8am expecting me to be there. I stated that I needed at least an hour's notice but they did not care and just cancelled the booking, keeping my £150!! I asked if I could arrange for later that day or just move it to another day. They said it is not possible.

I then received a message from Vicky (who was dealing with my booking) confirming that it was in fact their own mistake, but that they are not able change the time or come back another day! I asked to speak to the manager but was told that they were not there and would get back to me. A few days later, I still hadn't heard anything so contacted Vicky again to see if I could speak to a manager. Again she told me they would get back to me... again nothing. After my 3rd attempt to make contact, they stopped replying my messages.

This is terrible customer service. They have taken £150 from me but not delivered on the service. I think I am 100% in the right in this case because it is their fault. I honestly don't know what to do...

**Update: this is not a spam account, you can click on my name and see all the reviews I have written for other companies. All I want is my money back. You can’t operate a business like this…

unfit staff, no language to communicate in and belongings left on the street

Among so many bad experiences this was the worse moving company one. At first it’s all very smooth and easy. Then the day before packing I was told that they couldn’t make the date and the only slot was after 7pm and would cost an additional £500. I had no choice so had to take it, but the staff showed up in no conditions to be working and a strong smell, not briefed and barely any english spoken. As i would find out later, some boxes had barely anything on them, so I was informed that the volume was double and I had to pay a new fee that would further increase the cost to over two times the original quote. They already had my things so again, no choice. They then informed me 2 days before the agreed delivery date that they had to deliver earlier, which I again had to accommodate. And at 7pm, a driver arrives but no crew. The driver was again carrying an intense smell and couldn’t speak any language that we could communicate in, and informed me via google translate that he was leaving stuff on the street. I asked the office and they said the offload team was not coming and that the parking was too far from the flat. I sent them a photo demonstrating it was less than 20 meters. After 1 hour I asked driver to offload cargo and had to transport it from the street to the flat myself, when I’d paid for delivery at the flat. I found furniture to be damaged. A TV not working and when I asked for answers and a refund I got a few replies with excuses but nothing was done. So paid much more than initial quote, didn’t get the service I hired and nothing done by the company. Do not hire them and go straight for a professional company. They had the shameless excuse they were helping refugees to justify not having an english speaking person there - shameless.

ABSOLUTE SCAM COMPANY!

ABSOLUTE SCAM COMPANY!! SAVE YOURSELF FROM DEALING WITH THEM AND FIND A REPUTABLE COMPANY.

They stole £360 of my money and never showed. I booked a removal service to take place at my studio and was not given any response through out the entire day as to when my belongings would be picked up. I should have suspected something was wrong when they asked for payment in full and called me repeatedly to get all the money upfront. After no one got back to me all day and waiting till 10 o'clock at night with no movers showing up, Alice tried to tell me that I was the one who cancelled the service over the phone with the movers. When I provided call logs to prove them wrong, there was no apology or admission of guilt. Alice was purposefully vague and unhelpful and dodged my calls until I could contact her from a different phone. I am still trying to recoup my money and have reported them to the fraud department so no one else is hurt by them.

Do yourself a favour and find someone else.

Dear Ellisha,
let's speak the truth. No one stole any money from you. You have been booked for a late afternoon collection and when the drivers called you, you partner told them it's too late to come so you cancelled the collection. Due to our Terms & Condition a cancellation at short notice means the deposit is lost. It was only your decision so plese don't blame us for that and don't provide misleading information online.

Thanks,
Louis

Threatening experience

We have been blackmailed by this company, and we started legal actions.

I tried to summarise what happened below; please get in touch if you need details.

We sent a very detailed video for the company to assess the volume and the weight of our belongings in 55m2, 2 bedrooms.

I opened the doors of all pieces of furniture, and I stressed there were many books in the video I sent them. I just forgot to show the stuff we stored underneath the queen size bed (as you can guess, it was not a matter of many m3).

They first came with an estimate of 18m3. To avoid any potential problems, I asked them to overestimate everything. They offered 24m3 but said it was overestimated by far.

Then, the company said that a second van was needed, doubling the price of the move. They promised that the second van was needed for a very few m3 -- there will be no more problems.

They then took our belongings away in an unknown location, and asked around midnight to pay either for a third van, or pay the equivalent amount for them to store our items, sending multiple emails in a row to pressure us, threatening not to deliver the items.

If I would have known the price before, assuming that more vans were indeed needed, I would have sold my belongings beforehand. The company argues that there was an unusual amount of heavy items. Either they are extremely unskilled to estimate volume, in which case I recommend avoiding this company, or it is their usual strategy to underestimate volume and weight to win the market with a competitive price and then blackmail money (in which case I obviously recommend not to use this company).

Do get in touch on social media if you want to know more details or join forces.

EDIT in response to the company: If you have some doubts about this company, reach me out on social media, I'm happy to proof my claim as I have all the emails. By the way, note that they are confusing square meters and cubic meters in their agressive answer. This gives you some clues about what to expect.

Reply from WeCare Removals

Dear Mr Blain, thanks for your feedback but your text doesn't reflect the whole truth. Sorry to say that .

I have no idea where you got the 55mcb from while through the video provided we could only estimate a maximum of 24 cubic meters. If you you knew your goods are evaluated at 55 cubic meters, then why you did not told us from the beginning and also told us you did not show us everything in your house ?

Also on several ocassions, we explained and explained and we still explaine that the biggest problem was the weight as you had more than 3000kg in weight and it needed for 3 vans in order to be legit on the road, and no one will overload their van and risk their company just because you kindly asked them or because you don't want to pay extra. In that case we offered the extra goods to remain in UK, to be delivered to a local address etc which you refused.

The midnight email or calls wasn't a surprise for you as you told us you'll wait for our message and call to let you know the total weight of the goods. And of course as we offered a price for a direct delivery we were obliged to find out your decision about the extra amount, and of course about extra payment , that's totally normal as you're moving abroad and not around the cornet.

Please do get in touch with us for more detailed explanations.

Louis L.

Update: You need a specialist for sure.

Brilliant moving company

Brilliant moving company! Highly recommend! We had a painful experience with our completion date, we were meant to be complete by 1pm and due to solicitor delays we completed at 4pm. The moving team were so understanding even though they had to sit with all of our stuff for 5 hours (they arrived at 8am and finished at 7pm). I cannot thank them enough for their patience and hard work. They dismantled and reassembled everything for us, packed and unpacked all the boxes and were very pleasant to deal with. They were also super fast and efficient. Really appreciate all your help. The company was also the most reasonably priced out of every other moving company I searched for.

Poor experience

I would give WeCare Removal zero star if it allows me. I have used this company for both delivery and storage. After they gave you the quotation, they will not honour it. They emailed me saying that they had no choice but to increase the monthly storage fee because of rise of gasoline etc. They also did not honour the quotation of delivery fee - also blamed on rise of utilities. I would not use this company ever again because they lost my belongings (television, dining table and chairs and 8 empty storage boxes (Muji). I emailed them (Alice or Louis) straight away and they told me it's impossible for them to lose things. However I received 1 box belonged to other customer (I gave it back to the driver). They claim that it's "impossible" for them to lose belongings but when I presented them my inventory, they chose not to respond. They also clearly did not segregate my belongings in their storage room and hence mix with other peoples belongings and therefore unsafe. I repetitively asked for their company formal complaints but they refused to give me one. In the end, they said they willing to close the case by giving me compensation £100 (to be honest, this is an insult because my TV, dining tables and chairs and 8 storage boxes all cost more than £100 not to mention sentimental values). However, to my shock, they did not compensate me obviously came up with excuses. It's unfortunate that they are not belong to any ombudsman as I would happily escalate further. All future customers should choose removal/storage company who registered to ombudsman/redress scheme for your own protection.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Last minute quote 3x from 2 days ago (too late so had to agree). Different movers who threw everything into boxes without wrapping. No apology, just nasty emails asking for justification already provided. The Arrogance, Rudeness of this company is beyond my comprehension. They should not be in business. Hi, would you be kind, please, to provide proof of what you're saying in that review as since the job was done no pictures of damages or dirt , you're speaking about, wasn't provided. Also no one charged you x3, but you booked us per hour and you paid per hour for the work done.

Update: Again, a lot of words and no pictures as proof.

UPDATE 2: You are lying. On collection, before storage you paid £800 for 8h of work and on delivery from storage you paid £450 for 5 hours of work + £172 for packing materials. Why you're providing misleading information ? So 8 + 5 = 13 hours of work for £1250 + £172 for packing materials.

UPDATE 3: So you made the maths and 8h + 5h is not 10h yes ? You can only provide a lot of misleading information like the one with x3 price. Don't worry we made a screenshot to your last review and will be used now in court for spreading misleading information and for discrediting our company.

You'll hear from us.

Thanks

Do not trust this Company

In February 2021 we contracted WeCare Removals to remove and store our office furniture. Before the job they said they would give us access to our stored items at any time, they would give us a key, and our items would be stored in Slough. An invoice came in under a different legal name of Kent Removals LTD which initially raised our suspicions, but the work was carried out.

In 2022 we then contacted them to access our items. They refused and said our items had been moved to Dartford, this was without our consent. We tried many times, but they repeated that they would only allow us access to our items with a police warrant. We then asked for another removal company to have access so we can move our items to Salisbury, they refused saying only they can carry out this service. So our items were being held to ransom and we could only use their service if we wanted them back.

For this removal job, they originally quoted £900 in 2021 but now were charging £2150 for the same job, again saying only they can do it. We then tried to get an agreement for them to deliver our items in one van for half the cost and they agreed, and we agreed to prioritise certain key items.

When the quote came, again the company was under a different legal name which this time was Removals & Storage Solutions and wasn’t charging VAT.

When the items arrived, half were seriously damaged, and several items were missing. The company is now refusing to show us pictures of our remaining items not delivered. As these items are the most expensive items that weren’t delivered, we fear they have been stolen. Again, the company is refusing access to our items without a police warrant.

Given the different company names and service provided we would strongly recommend avoiding this company.

Dear Ben, thanks for your review. It has a lot of misleading information so i'll explain it here:

1) No one promised you acces whenever you want because we're not a self storage company, but a removals one and we have a huge depot with all our customers's goods, and not room by room. I think you're talking about another offer from other company.

2) A lot of companies have an LTD named X and a trading name Y.

3) The goods were collected and stored in Slough in the 2021 start of year and now it's close to the end of 2022, since then a lot has changed and the prices to everything went up so we've changed our storage location, moved the goods at no extra cost for you and offered same delivery price.

4) Your text saying (they would only allow us access to our items with a police warrant.) it is a lie. The goods can be accessed only by our relevant personal. Also the police has nothing to do here as your goods are not stolen but stored.

5) Another misleading text: (For this removal job they originally quoted £900 in 2021 but now were charging £2150 for the same job) the £900 price was for 1 van while now you have 2 loads so 2 vans needed which would have costed £1800 but due to the huge fuel price increase and etc the price went up from £1800 to £2100, only £300 difference for 2 vans and 4 men.

6) You have been invoice by same WeCare Removals firm.

7) No pictures was provided, even now, with damages so let's not offer misleading information again and again. Also the other items are not missing but are in our storage as been advised. You assured us that everything fits in one van, while we're the professional in this industry, so we've delivered one full van which everything that fitted in, then you tried to write everywhere that we've stolen your goods or the goods are missing.

BEN, YOU HAD 2 VAN LOADS THIS IS WHY EVERYTHING DID NOT FIT IN 1. YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD 10 TIMES THAT YOU NEED 2 VANS HENCE THE X2 PRICE. YOU JUST DONT LISTEN.

You have 48h to deleted the misleading information and the bullshit about fraudulent company etc. No one stole your goods or your money. The goods is inside our storage unit, and the money paid is for the 1 van load you already received.

Let's not be stupid plz.

Totally underestimated quote and disrespectful behavior.

WeCare (really?) made our moving a very stressful experience. The sales/office person was keen and responsive. We got a quote with 2 options based on the Whatsapp survey that they had requested. After a satisfactory Q&A session, we went for option 1 which was convenient and cheaper. It turns-out that they totally underestimated the amount of stuff we had to move (they are the pros but blame us for it, by the way). We ended-up paying 50% more than the quote. But the worst side to this story was the same office person's behaviour; sending us text messages at 8pm on Friday (still in the heat of the move) requesting immediate payment for the expected extra hours! When I asked what the urgency was, the team said that they would have to stop if I was not paying straight-away. That's what I call blackmail. In the end it took over 6 hours more than expected, despite us helping a lot, and the move finished at 10.30pm. The day before was packing day. Despite coming with a large van, the team did not bring enough boxes (based on the wrong estimate). Therefore they stayed less than 7 hour compared to the expected 8. Guess what, the office person refused to deduct that hour from the extra hours charged for the moving day. Nevertheless I am giving 2 stars as the movers were rather friendly and careful with our stuff.

Mr Bourillon, thanks a lot for your feedback and we're sorry for the bad experience you had with us, but let's speak the truth please and try to avoid the misleading messages.

The offer accepted was for 1 VAN for an estimated daily rate of 8h and as a day before the team packed a lot more boxes then it was shown in the video we ended up in doing 2 trips and having extra 6 hours of work.

Also we moved goods from other room and ceiling, that wasn't shown in the video so here is the issue. Please don't blame us for everything.

Re the 8pm calls: our colleague have phoned you because you were telling to our drivers that you won't pay any extra money and as we cannot work for free, in this hard time, we called you and explained all the situation.

A Daily Rate Offer of min 8h, means a 8h minimum charge, even if the job takes 2 hours. This is what a minimum charge means.

I understand your point of view and we're sorry for the misunderstanding but please don't blame us for everything that happened on the day and for the extra stuff that wasn't declared upfront.

Yours,
Louis Littovski
