Hi Duane and thanks so much for choosing webuyanycar.com to sell your 2018 Audi A4. Thanks also for taking time to rate the customer service provided by the representative who assisted you at our Cary location. We take pride in giving every customer a five-star customer service experience and we're sorry to learn that we let you down. We have launched an investigation and will be following up with you directly to address your concerns.

Bait and switch is an illegal and immoral business practice and does not happen at webuyanycar.com, hence we have over 100,000 five-star reviews, BBB A+ accreditation and the best customer service rating in the industry. We apologize that your experience did not live up to expectations.

I see from disclosures you made online on 7/17 that the Audi was declared to be in good physical mechanical condition with no damage. The appraisal photographs show no check engine light illuminated but vehicle diagnostics reported a P0461 Fuel Level Sensor 'A' Circuit Range/Performance fault and we're happy to share a copy of the independent report with you.

Another issue which was not disclosed to us was that the Audi was stolen and recovered in 2021. Theft recovery appears on the vehicle's permanent record (CARFAX) and is a big turn-off for potential buyers.

Finally, we were not made aware of extensive hail damage during the online valuation. This is very clearly evident on our appraisal photos and would be a very expensive repair to put right. Both these issues lower the resale value.

Clearly with all of these major issues, we could not pay the same price that we estimated based on the vehicle being in great condition with no mechanical issues or damage and I'm pleased to see we were able to work with our pricing team at corporate to get you a price you were happy to accept.

In the circumstances, we'd love to know how our team could have handled this better. We do provide customers with the opportunity to tell us about any issues with the vehicle up front, as we hate surprises as much as you do.

I have opened a complaint file and we'll be in contact with you tomorrow to address any concerns and restore your faith in the honesty and integrity of our team. Thank you for letting us know you are unhappy and for giving us the opportunity to do the right thing.
