I'm afraid to understand how this site works. I want to read Lord of the Mysteries, which has 1,400 chapters, but it costs 1,800 coins for just 100 chapters (WITH MAX DISCOUNT for batch). If my math is correct, that means more than 25,000 coins (assuming the price doesn't increase toward the end, which I doubt)... That’s equivalent to around 450€ using their gold, just to read a story online without downloading it or owning it. Did I get something wrong? it is a scam

If I could give Webb novel a negative I would this place is absolutely horrible to their authors not only do they siphon income from the individual chapter purchases. They also collect when you purchase the advanced chapters or as they called them privileged chapters, but furthermore, when the devoted readers go as far to take it upon their heart to gift the authors with money web novel has the audacity to take 50% of that gift of which the readers are not aware so while the readers believe that the author is getting this really nice $200 gift they’re actually only receiving $100. I personally have been donating for months to a specific author because she is from Nigeria and she doesn’t make very much money in her country and she supports her family from this income so while I believe that I have donated her well over $2000 she actually has only received half of that. I am so pissed off right now screw you. I hope you burn in hell web novel.

In my opinion, this is fraud.
I downloaded the app and set up a subscription to read a specific book. But when I tried to read the book, I was told that the title did not comply with the platform’s guidelines and was therefore blocked.
There was no prior indication anywhere that the title was blocked — this information only appears when you try to read the book (with an active subscription, of course).
In my view, this is a tactic to force people into subscribing. This company has now received a monthly payment from me for a service that has been denied.
While I was able to cancel the subscription immediately via my Apple account, €7.99 was still charged. I want my money back. And I will warn others against subscribing to or using Webnovel whenever I get the chance.
I searched in vain for a way to contact Webnovel directly to share this experience. But I found no way — neither in the app nor on the website — to get in touch with the company. There is a chat function, but the bot always gives the same replies and barely responds.

Its a rip off. Some good stories but can cost upward to $100 to read most of the book. Then u must purchase a privileged tier to finish the book. They claim the authors set the price but I don't believe it. Customer service are bots they repeat the same thing and are unhelpful. I was asked to get a screenshot when I took the screenshot I accidentally spent 830 coins but was unable to use them because I'd have to purchase ANOTHER privilege tier to read advanced chapters. Just a headache!

I found on WebNovel an unauthorized publication by an Indian, who has created a fake profile and uploaded only this specific novel, which is not his.
I have contacted the website administrators and they keep replying with the same email, asking me for details. Even though I have given it to them and they can find it themselves, they keep replying to me as if they are bots.
Something is going on with this site, and I don't think they are legit!

I have been using this application for almost 6 years. Then recently i was charge two membership worth119$ each ( i just cancelled my membership last January 2023) and also that day i just top up for may coins for 19.99$ using my credit card. then i receive a notification from my bank the i paid for a membership thru paypal (different card was use) i didnt do it because at that time i was working. So i contacted Webnovel about it and they cannot help me and also I didn’t received an email about the membership. So they ask me to contact paypal but they also cannot help me. I message to the customer service of webnovel for the cancellation and refund. They ask me for the receipts, emails and other things which i provided but in the end nothing happened they just ask me to cancel my membership subscription. I also check my phone for the subscription but theres nothing. I checked my purchased history (may 02,2023) there no membership fee there. And then i recheck again (may 03, 2023) it was there already. I was so frustrating. I need my money back.

but the problem is that after a certain point in a novel you have to use "SP(spirit stones)" to unlock the chapter and then you can read it thats fine while you have many sp but as soon as you have non you are unable to read until you get more, ofc you can also buy SP and keep on reading. not cool.
