WeatherShield Solutions = Your Home Solutions

These are now trading as Your Home Solutions with the same Director, same address, same cold calling brigade and can be found online at yhs-ltd.co.uk

The Director has registered 19 companies with names around roofing, windows, plastering etc and they are in various states of being open, closed, struck off etc.

I first encountered this company several years ago when a very charming ex military man came round to discuss doors and windows.

However he played in this company and they sent a team of three to my home, and kept insisting to my wife that I had to be there.

It felt very much like a timeshare approach to selling was on the cards where pressure to sign up instantly was on the horizon, perhaps using a financial instrument that couldn't be recalled.

If you buy a product such as doors and windows you would likely want some longevity to the seller in case of fault or failure and if there is a warranty or guarantee it is only of value if the company is still there.

It wouldn't be hard to imagine the sole director simply reimagining company A as company B, knocking on doors, changing only the Fleece and where would company A customers be?

One person with upto 19 different named past and present companies in various locations would be one heck of a paper trail, you could imagine roofing, plastering and windows companies charging and cross charging but the same man behind the curtain.

In my opinion the use of limited liability companies is not always equitable

12 foot sliding door system

We purchased a 12 foot, 4 panel door sliding door system from WS. In less than a year one of the panels developed a bubble on the top of it. Called the company several times. Finally they sent a territory manager out who said he would take care of it. After another year they are not going to do anything about it. DO not waste your money there are too many better brands out there. Wish I would have read other reviews that were equally upset before I bought.

If I could, I wouldn’t rate them

If I could, I wouldn’t rate it at all. I moved into my property in 2020. I had a person take measurement for the porch I wanted. They took a deposit and no works took place. A year later they came back did the exact same thing and took more money from me. The person I dealt with that’s day, told me the original person that was dealing with me left the company and wasn’t a person that specialises in porches and apologised on their behalf. He repeatedly reassured us that the works would start as soon as they got the materials. It’s been another two years and they still have my money and I haven’t got my porch.

Scammers and preying on elderly

The seller turned up uninvited at the door and preyed on my old nan convincing her she needs 2 windows changed and making her pay £1100 for deposit. We tried canceling the order and get a refund. Needless to say they never refunded the money. All paperwork was from Anglia Conservatories but money taken by Weathershield Solutions. Looks like the director Andrew Paul Jordan makes a living from opening companies, taking the money then closing the companies. As other people stated, he already has another 3-4 companies on the roll, newest one called Your home solutions. Surely this should be illegal.

BE WARNED....

BE WARNED..... Have set up under a new name "Your home Solutions"...... Same dodgy Director and office team.......

a simple 13 week single extension ended up 28 weeks, then they disappear without any means of contact or even an apology.
Within this 28 weeks, they carried out 1 full week and even then you'd be lucky to get 6 hours work.

left our garden and house looking a mess and even left our property at risk of being burgled and also a fire risk......

SHOCKING IN AN UNDERSTATMENT.

Too late, but avoid Andrew Jordan at all cost

We paid a 50% deposit way back in December 2021 for a flat roof to be installed Feb/Mar 2022. Chased them multiple times without any sign of the work ever getting done, although it sounds like had the work been done we would have regretted it anyway. Placed a complaint with them 7 weeks ago (12th August) and as per the Ombudsman's requirements, we have been waiting 8 weeks before reporting them. It seems all too late now. Will report them to the police as suggested in the reviews below.

Another horror story to add to the existing list.

After reading plenty of good reviews on this site I paid a £3.5k deposit to extend an existing conservatory and have the old roof replaced with a solid flat roof. After a lot of chasing up the work was done in June / July. and I paid £10.5k in total withholding a small amount until I got the associated paperwork and certificates.
A few days later I had a builder at the house to quote for other work. When he saw what Weathershield had done he raised a number of concerns over the structure. Needless to say I couldn't get any response from Weathershield.
I have now had an independent survey carried out at further cost and the whole build has been condemned. So now I've lost the £10.5k paid to Weathershield and will have to pay for demolition and rebuild.
It appears Andrew Jordan has folded the company no doubt to open another and continue to rip people off. Surely this should be made illegal

My parents have lost a deposit of £1500…

My parents have lost a deposit of £1500 after agreeing work which was supposed to start in July 2021. I actually spoke to them last September and had a conversation with the manager who was abrupt and rude but eventually he offered offered £500 off the over cost for my parents. I sought advice with citizens advice and sent letters citing a breach of contract that they failed to honour. They contacted my parents direct and persuaded them to have the work carried out this March, so I effectively withdraw from pursuing their breach of contract, however it was no surprise that the work never got carried out and no one turned up. My parents then asked if I could reinstate my claim, however I’m disappointed to see that they have effectively disappeared, probably claiming bankruptcy and that I don’t imagine my parents will get their money back. Will have to seek advice.

SCAMMERS AND THIEVES

0 stars if possible. Absolute scam, avoid at all costs. It's sad to see all the other people who have had a horrid experience.
Following advice from other reviews I am also going to the police using reference 07-0327. As one of the reviews said they have ditched the last address, I also looked on companies house seeing the new address of the director Andrew Paul Jordan has opened a new company Your Home Solutions and is trading from Unit 1 Lynx Business Centre, Colliers Green Road, Goudhurst, Kent, England, TN17 2LR. From all the company names and addresses it seems he's done this many times. My husband and I may have to drive there to see if we can get our money back.

UPDATE

The new company he has started is now on Trustpilot, you can search under YHS Ltd. By the looks of things he hasn't actually popped Weathershield solutions just yet. Their new website is yhs-ltd.co.uk.

Completely Unreachable

Still waiting for them to come and fix the windows they installed back in July. Looks like I’m going to be waiting a long time as it looks as though the company has ceased trading.

Website has gone. Telephone lines disconnected and no longer on Checkatrade.

What a shambles.

Disgraceful customer service

I'm trying to ascertain whether or not this company still exists. They don't reply to phone calls, messages or e-mails. Recent experiences for other people seem to mirror my own. As of today, their phone lines don't even seem to be functioning.

Avoid them like the plague!!

Requesting my deposit back!!!

Requesting my deposit back!!!

Had paid deposit of £8000, for conservatory in May. They were very friendly, and came to the house quickly to provide an estimate, as I was planning to go with a different company (that very evening). Changed my mind and decided to go with Weathershield solutions. Rob came first to take initial deposit, the Andy came to take second part of deposit (due to some requested changes to dimensions).

I've had no correspondence with the company since. After trying to contact the department on multiple occasions, emailing, and leaving voicemail, I have finally requested for my deposit to be returned. Reading these recent reviews raised more concerns. Went to see their head office in Maidstone on a few occasions, and looks deserted.

Will give them an opportunity to respond, however will not delay seeking for legal advice. If anyone knows how best to proceed please do comment in the reviews.

UPDATE!
reported them to the police. They have suggested others who wish should do the same. Give reference Ref: 07-0327

HELP!

We paid a deposit in May for a replacement conservatory roof with sky pod. Finally got an installation date ( after chasing) for today but nobody as turned up! No communication from company. Very poor customer service !! Have been trying to contact them for past week to confirm installation. No one is answering phone and it goes to answer phone whole time. How do we contact this company??? Somebody please help. They have a lot of our money!!!

Update:
1.Weathershield website is no longer available on Google
2.Maidstone shop is saying permanently closed.
3. Answer phone goes to voicemail still.
4. E mails are now being returned saying their mailbox is " closed".
5. It seems that Weathershield is owned by Anglia conservatories - same address and telephone number and again no response.
5.I have requested a cash back via our credit card company citing section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. Would advise anyone to try the same. I think it's the only way any of us will hopefully see monies returned.

I am so glad I persisted in paying our deposit by credit card and not bank transfer/ cheque they were insisting I do in May.

Andrew Paul Jordan Director - Fraud

An update: I paid a £9,500 deposit in May 2022 for a Conservatory, contract stating construction to commence in June 2022. After chasing this company to stary, So far all that I got from this company is a a builder turn up, destroy my patio - breaking its tiles, and then leaving after 1 hr of work. The company has since removed its original website, blocked phone calls and is now working through other registered Ltd companies. Please stay Away!
