Recently placed my first order with Wealden Tool Company. I've heard good things about them and pleased to say it's all true. Quality router bits supplied and swiftly sent out to me. First class service.
I have used Wealden Tools Co on & off for over 30 years. They have been consistent in the quality of their products and the level of service. Prices have always been as good as can be expected for quality tooling.
Ordered a router cutter (4-faced grooving cutter), arbour and bearing from them on recommendation from a few woodworking forums. Very helpful over the phone when researching product spec and not at all snobby or elitist, which can unfortunately be the case when dealing with some smaller, higher end tool suppliers.
Made the order thinking I'd missed that day's deadline only to get a call from them 20 mins later checking if I'd ordered the correct part. I'd ordered a 3/8" arbour for the cutter (unusual size these days) so they wanted to check it wasn't a mistake before sending. How's that for customer service!
Arrived the next day, well packed and exactly as specified. Cutter and arbour are well made, cutting cleanly and consistently first time out. No finishing required on the cutting faces and none of the nasty chipping you often see on the corners of cheaper tct cutter faces ("cof cof, trend....").
Will definitely buy my next cutter/s from them and happily recommend on the basis of this experience. Seems I'm not alon in that either, with lots of recommendation on specialist woodwork forums to back me up.
