Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 90 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people describe the website as misleading, with numerous fake profiles and bots designed to keep users engaged in conversations. Customers frequently report that the pricing is exorbitant, requiring continuous credit purchases for messages, which are often limited in length and quickly depleted by meaningless small talk. Reviewers also express frustration over unexpected charges, unclear fees, and difficulties in reporting suspicious activity on the site. However, some people mentioned that the site itself functions adequately and does not feel entirely shady, with profiles appearing real enough and a simple setup process. Despite this, even these users often found their experience to be more about browsing than genuine connection, with conversations frequently fizzling out.

Its all bots

Its all bots trying to get you to buy credits and drain your wallet. I think someone should start a class action lawsuit.

Wannahookup is a TOTAL SCAM

Wannahookup is a TOTAL SCAM! The respondents are very coy and always have an excuse to not want to meet up. Don't be sucked in by the people who respond because they are fake. As soon as you buy credits, the contacts completely fall off.

Seems the women on here are largely AI…

Seems the women on here are largelry AI bots that endlessly ask you answer questions that reuquire length responses. Becase the site limits teh legnth of any given response you end up endlessly buying credits to answer questions generated by an ai. I tried with more a dozen women to get s single coffee dae and they made some excuse about why they would rathe endlessly talk on the platform. I didn'r ge one woman to stray fom the platform, they all cleverly ignored my ask or came up with some oddball ai generated reaon. Don't waste you time or money.

The women just keep asking you questions in hope that you will keep the conversation going by paying for it

I'm pretty sure they must be getting their share (working for commission or something). It's not something like AFFSeek.com
where you can get dates easily and quickly. WannaHookUp is entirely based on endless chats. It's a pure online romance scam. Sometimes the reply style of one and the same person changes which indicates that different people are working in shifts, using pictures of beautiful models a misleading the men. I highly doubt that you get to chat with the lady who these pictures belong to. There are so many of those cash grab sites nowadays. The intent of WannaHookUp site owners is clear: short-term profit based on giant and blatant rip off.

fake profiles, Ai generated

it is very credit per message heavy and it seems they are using Ai for automated profile views and messages. all of the profiles ive seen in a 500 mile radius dont have anything in their bio besides age and location and is a bit suspicious, like a lazy Ai wrote all the basic info and made fake photos.

full of chat bots and automated rsponses

full of chats behave like automated bots or scripted messaging. Scam, don't spend a dime.
you will notice a malfunction in the bots they are using if you are smart enough, just wait for couple weeks and you will see it.

My word of advice: don't touch it with a barge pole

There are hundreds of staff members who pose themselves off as genuine girls. All they want is chat... The women from sites like AFMeets.com
usually agree to have face-to-face meetings after a few chats. Women from WannaHookUp always want to know you better. Don't even get me started on the variety of excuses they have for canceling the meeting at the last minute. The hard truth that often goes unspoken about platforms like WannaHookUp is that they can keep you hooked for weeks and months always putting off the real meeting. The fees are immense so you can lose a lot of cash before you know it.

COMPLETE SCAM!

COMPLETE SCAM!

Not one woman is real. You respond and give your phone number and it says thanks but lets talk here.

You buy credits and pay to talk to each phony sleasy lady on the site. NOT ONE RESPONSE TO MY PHONE.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BULLSHIT

Fuhgeddaboudit! A TOTAL $$$ GRAB

This site is all about you buying credits and then having them used up by potential hookups asking you tons of meaningless questions, so you need to keep purchasing. All responses are fake profiles. I sent a few of the profiles my contact info with questions that would allow me to determine if they were real or not and with no surprise it went from receiving numerous inquiries to ZERO! A DEFINITELY FRAUDULENT SITE!

A relationship isn’t measured by money

A relationship isn’t measured by money, but by love, understanding, and peace of mind. Some couples don’t have much, yet they laugh, grow, and live happily together. Others have all the money in the world but are full of stress and arguments. At the end of the day, real love is what keeps two hearts together not the size of the wallet ❤️

Ok...

So I gave wannahookup a shot while I was trying to meet someone in the Baltimore area. I wouldn’t call the site a scam — it works, the profiles seem real enough, and the setup is pretty simple — but I just haven’t had a ton of luck on there personally.

Most of my experience has been a lot of browsing, a few conversations here and there, and then things kind of fizzle out. Nothing terrible, just not a whole lot happening. It feels like there are people using it, but the response rate hasn’t been great for me. As a guy, that’s kind of expected online anyway, but still — it left me feeling like there are better options out there.

On the positive side, it’s easy to sign up, the vibe is pretty relaxed, and it doesn’t feel shady. I never got the sense it was one of those totally fake sites. It’s just… okay. Not amazing, not awful. If you’re patient, you might do fine.

For comparison, I’ve had much better results on JustBangMe — way more conversations and actual momentum. And honestly, AdultFriendFinder is always worth a shot just because of how many people are on there. Between the two of those, I’ve had a lot more success than on wanna hookup.

So yeah — wannahookup isn’t bad, it just hasn’t been a game-changer for me. Decent to try, but there are stronger options out there if you’re really looking to meet someone.
