Family tour with Tim and Brooke
As with all tours, the looming worry of, “will I get along with everyone?” was hanging heavy over my head, even after a very positive recommendation from someone who had already done the tour a few months ago.
I was fortunate enough to have both Tim and Brooke on the 13 day Bali & Lombok tour. They instantly made everyone feel seemingly at ease, allowing us to make our own experience from the scheduled tour. There was plenty to do, and also options for down time when we wanted and needed it nothing was forced upon us and we always had the option to tailor the plans to our needs. The accommodation choices were all top notch, all including breakfast, and the restaurant choices for lunches and dinners had options for everyone.
Tim was very informative with the plans each and every day, and always willing to answer any questions any of the group had.
Brooke provided the group with plenty of energy and encouraged us to live our best lives on the tour, I certainly will miss both Tim and Brooke’s infectious energy. Thank You both so much for an amazing time and can’t recommend Wanderlands enough.

The Tour with Timothy and Brooke was amazing. I really enjoyed it!
I had lots of problems with my phone and Tim helped me as much as he could also when I left the group after 8 days he helped me to buy tickets and an Uber.
I would recommend it, especially for solo travelers when you’re not sure where to start.

Time that I will never forget …
The last 13 days have been one of the best experiences in my life. Everything was organised very well. We’ve done and seen so many different things and I met lots of great people. These 13 days were incredibly amazing! After only a few days the group spirit was so good. Also, Pedro was the best Tour guide you can ask for, always looking after us and in a good mood. We had so much fun together as a group. Especially the snorkelling trips and boat tours were one of my highlights!! The Tour with our guide Pedro Was awesome. After 2 days, the Group was really close and did everything together. I just booked the Tour for 8 days, but liked it so mich that i asked Pedro if i could travel on my own wih them to gilis.
I Was really happy, New friendships have been buildt and it was a great experience.

You could get to know Bali from different sides and you could learn a lot about the culture.

Memories for a lifetime
Mimi was fantastic, provided us with so much context and history. She also encouraged us to push our boundaries when trying a new activity. The itinerary was a great pace, time for activities, eating, relaxing, and getting to know the other travellers.

The tour was very good organized and we did so much great things. My favorite part of the tour was the snorkeling on the Gilis and visiting the Tirta Empul Temple. And Mimi was the best teamer ever!

13-day tour with a friend
I did the 13-day tour with a friend. Our tour guides were Chandra and Tim. Chandra knew a lot about the culture and the country. Tim always kept us in good spirits and organised everything very well. The tour was interesting but sometimes a little bit exhausting because it was a lot of programm. I would do the tour again, I liked it very much.

Great experience
Nice tour through Bali and Lombok. Tim and Chandra did a great job to make it a fun experience. We had a lot of activities, which were wide ranged from touristic to pretty local. This tour it’s made for western people to enjoy. Don‘t expect a lot of super traditionell cultural package. It is made for entertaining, but with a good balance between party, activities and well-being. It was like expected and I liked it 😊

Perfectly organized tour with excellent tour guides. From the first to the last day everything was a lot of fun. I can only recommend Wanderlands as well as Tim and Chandra as tour guides! The hotels and hostels were good, the program was great and our group felt like a little travel family for the two weeks.

5⭐️ Guides - 3⭐️ Tour // 8 days in Bali
5/5 ⭐️ for Timothy and Chandra
Calm, fun, knowledgeable.
Our guide Tim is the reason that the tour was an excellent experience.
Chandra added a lot to this especially with his insights on local culture.
Both provided amazing recommendations for the rest of our stay.
3/5 ⭐️ for the tour itself
Were a bit unlucky with the weather and had to swap surfing for a massage.
The days feel very unbalanced: some days you sprint through sites, others it feels leisure time is the only agenda item.
Staying in a 6-bed dorm in a hostel owned by a shareholder of Wanderland (wifi password mirrors the company’s claim) was a bit of a bummer. The pool is unusable if you want your head under water as your eyes will instantly start to burn. The events - live music barbecue or yoga classes - are great though. We left a night early to be able to sleep when the group leaves the dorm early the next morning.
It would add a lot to the tour to exchange some restaurants and places with more traditional options. Especially the super touristy rice terrace was not close as amazing as a walk through a wide rice terrace.
Appreciate the stint on the island, both were amazing with stunning views.
