The organisation was excellent and the experience seamless. Williams considered our needs and walking distances, the taxi transfers worked very well. The accommodation was good and our info pack was perfect. Ideally we would have liked our info pack sooner so we could prepare and get excited; we got it about two weeks before we left on holiday. All in all a great experience and fabulous holiday in incredible scenery.

I had booked with Walk With Williams before and had no hesitation in using the company again. We booked to walk the Ridgeway really late this time and Matthew did his utmost to find us good accommodation (pretty successfully) when many of the usual places he uses were not available. All very efficient and nice to deal with.

We gave WalkwithWilliams a very short timescale to organise our walk along the Northumberland Coast Path.
Matthew responded very quickly booking all our accommodation, baggage service and taxi where needed and immediately sorted out an extra night on Lindisfarne, the highlight of our walk.
He provided information sheets outlining all relevant information we needed for each day by email and hard copy so very handy to take just one sheet with us each day or check on our phones.
Accommodation ranged from very good to excellent, baggage service and taxi great.
Everything was well prepared and organised for our walk.

The Walk with Williams team were always available with knowledge and advice, prior to and during our walk. Their notes on what we would encounter along the way made this beautiful Northumbrian coastal path a truly memorable experience. This was appreciated as we travelled from overseas to do the walk. Our nightly accommodation was always interesting and comfortable. Our extra luggage was always awaiting us.

We were very pleased with the way Walkwithwilliams planned the walk; it was good to be able to print a page for each days walk detailing directions and accommodation. We were also provided with a map and Hadrian's Wall book.

Accommodation, from YHA, Air b&b to hotels was good quality (yes even the YHA, private room!) all near the walking route, the one day it was off route a prebooked taxi had been arranged for pick up and return next morning.

Luggage transfer each day was a tremendous boon and worked like clockwork.

Knowing we were able to phone the Company if any problems arose gave a sense of security.

I would use Walking with William's again and certainly recommend them

After last year's walk along Hadrian's Wall had worked out so perfectly, we returned to WWW for our hike on the Northumberland Coast Path.
Once again, we received useful information on the route and tips on preparation in advance of our trip.
We give top marks for communication with WWW as well as for organisation of our accommodation and luggage transfer.
We certainly wouldn't hesitate to undertake our next walking trip with WWW.

Everything went very smoothly. Walking with Williams provided a really good map, and guide book, my bags were collected and ready for me at each stop on the way. I felt safe and there was a safety net if anything went wrong (but nothing went wrong). It was my first walking hoiliday with them and it wont be the last. I am already considering my next walk with them. I would recommend them espeically to lone walkers, who want the peace and freedom of walking at their own pace.

I recently finished 3 walks (see below) with Walk With Williams and was very happy with the arrangements- Over a 4 week period all the accommodation( except one) was to my liking, the luggage transfers were efficient and the taxi bookings were all punctual. I had many communications with Matthew while planning and a few en route and I felt I got a very personalised service. Some of the distances were underestimated door to door.I will use the company again

We had a great week walking St Cuthberts Way. Walk with Williams were very responsive to our requests and created a personalised itinery and provided us with maps and guides which were very helpful.

Where B and B accomodation was not available en route Walk With Williams organised a shuttle taxi for us. The baggage transfer process was very smooth and our bags were always waiting at the next hotel.

Overall this a great experience.

We have recently completed St. Cuthbert’s Way. Matthew Williams put together a great itinerary. The baggage collection and delivery all worked well and where we needed taxis these were always reliable. Communication throughout was quick and efficient.
The highlight of the trip was walking The Pilgrims Route to Holy Island and staying there overnight. In the morning we had the Island almost to ourselves before the day trippers arrived. A great experience. Thankyou.

This was our first walking holiday. Well organised, helpful information and clear itinerary provided. Only comments are that it was a little late arriving, I had to chase for the pack which arrived a week before the holiday (rather than the 3-4 weeks as advertised). At our last hotel we had a separate bathroom rather than an ensuite as expected. Neither of these are major issues and we would highly recommend Walk with Williams and use them again. All communications were responded to promptly. We walked the Yorkshire Dale's Way and had just about every weather condition going so it was a bit tough at times but exhilarating and a great sense of achievement was felt by is both at the end. Accommodation booked for us ranged from good to excellent, notably Shepherds Cottage at Winshaw, the lovely Kate made us so welcome. All hosts, whether a b&b, boutique hotel or pub were great, Matthew had communicated my dietary requirements (Coeliac)when booking and each accommodation were able to cater for me. Baggage transfers worked very smoothly, no issues at all.

Walk with Williams were very straightforward to deal with. All the accommodation was comfortable and of an appropriate standard. Everything seemed well organised.

I walked Hadrian’s Wall Path from west to east over six days. It was a great experience and enlightening to see how brilliant the Romans were with their construction work.
The organisation by Walkwithwilliams was perfect. Accommodation was very good and when not close to Wall taxis were prepaid. I would not hesitate in recommending Walkwithwilliams to anybody going on a walking holiday.

Altogether we enjoyed this experience. The price Williams quoted us compared well with other operators. The organisation was efficient and unobtrusive. I will certainly be contacting Williams first if planning another walk. My one reservation was about the last hour on the first day - and it may be that there were no alternatives - when we were directed off the coastal path along a tarmac road for 1 1/2 miles to an ordinary B & B in a dull village.

St Cuthbert's Way.The accommodation was very good, and catered well for our dog. The taxis were always on time and were flexible too. The luggage transfer worked perfectly. Map and guide book provided were very helpful, even though route is well waymarked. The itinerary was thorough and well planned. Overall a great experience.

This was a last minute booking so did not give Matthew and his team much time to arrange accommodation. They did very well. Other than a minor issue with one pub only accepting payment on arrival everything went smoothly. Standard was understandably a little mixed due to the short notice but absolutely fine. Luggage transfer went without a hitch and Matthew was on hand to answer any queries I had. The walk itself was enjoyable with many distractions for me in terms of bird and wildlife. This was my first time with Walk with Williams and won't be the last. Recommended.

The walk across Hadrians Wall was a fantastic experience, the weather was beautiful to make it very enjoyable.

Walk with Williams was very well organised, plenty of updates keeping us informed. The final work pack with maps and information was sent. During the walk we couldn’t fault anything, B&Bs booked, taxis on time, and baggage moved, and waiting at our next overnight stay.
Also very competitive with the price, compared to other companies.

Would definitely use walk with Williams again.

What a brilliant walk! This is our 4th walk in 4 years using Walk with Williams and once again it was a flawlessly executed 18 days. We were fortunate to have perfect weather for the entire time, so that of course made even the hard days a pleasure. Matthew did a wonderful job with the accommodations, which ranged from good to outstanding. We asked for a rest day in Richmond, which was a lovely treat and gave us a chance to do some off trail exploring. The best and most unexpected part of walking the C2C is the camaraderie among the walkers. It was wonderful and we leave with lots of new contacts from all over the world and future walking plans with new friends.

The company were very helpful and communicative. Some of the places to stay were lovely, others a bit more basic. I loved the Black Bull at Lowick and the Yetholm Bothy. The advice about where to get food was very helpful. The walk itself was wonderful - highly recommended. I would have preferred to get the itinerary pack a little earlier and I wouldn’t have bought a copy of the Cicerone guide if I’d known it was included. No other criticisms. Thank you!
