The shoes are fine – exactly what you'd expect at this price point. But EIGHT POUNDS to return an item is insane. I purchased a pair online for £74, and was refunded £66 when I sent them back. Buy from asos instead - free returns.

I think these shows are fantastic both in quality and price. First pair arrived too big, exchange policy was fast and smooth. Correct size arrived and I love them, in fact I bought another pair of boots in a different style a week after. I was very impressed with the quality and the packaging - the product felt like it could make a cherished gift for a reasonable price tag!

Hertford Hiking shoe
Purchased a pair of Hertford hiking shoes. When tying them for the first time the hook ripped out of one of the shoes and I therefore had to return them. Customer service were very responsive and helpful but unfortunately the shoe itself was of poor quality and I would hesitate to purchase anything else from Walk London.

I’m glad to hear our customer service team were able to assist you quickly, but we completely appreciate that this experience has affected your confidence in our brand.
The D-rings are secured using rivets, and while they are designed to withstand regular tension from lacing, on very rare occasions a rivet may not compress fully during production which sounds like this may have been the case here. We have checked internally and this is one of our best selling styles this season and the only case of this we have been made aware of, so we can only assume this is an isolated incident.
With that said, please rest assured that we take feedback like this very seriously and we continually review our materials and production processes with our quality control team to prevent similar cases in the future.
If you ever decide to give us another try, we’d be more than happy to help recommend a style that suits your needs and ensure it meets the standard you should expect from us.

The shoes are fine but narrow in…
The shoes are fine but narrow in fitting. It should have been mentioned. I’m size 9, and it takes me effort to put these on. My cuticles are dead for 10 mins when I put them on. Also, they are narrow from the front. It makes them uncomfortable. The looks are great. They are not for long walks ( airport) or casual day out with family.
Maybe treat them as dress shoes and wear for dinner etc where not a lot of walking is involved.

The boots look really nice and comfortable, but this comes at a significant shortfall with regards to the quality of the boots themselves.
A year into having the boots the sole split completely on one boot and the early sign of the exact same thing on the other boot. This was completely across the ball of the foot. This was after moderate wear.
They let me down completely.
