We bought our forever home with George at Wain Homes at Latune Gardens.
George really looked after us and made sure we were always communicated with updates and were sent pictures often.
From the very beginning to receiving the keys George has been amazing!
Thank you for everything you’ve done for us George! It will be sad to end our journey but we wish you all the best for the future!!

We have now been in our new home for 6 weeks.the build quality and finish is very good. From start to finish Thea the sales executive has been genuinely kind, caring, tactful and patient with our many queries, which helped enormously especially over the tricky Christmas period. One star has been kept back because despite her best attempts to have minor issues rectified, the response has been very slow and a little frustrating, due I think, to the site workers beginning to move on to another build.

Hi,
I have concerns regarding the proposed planning route for the new development at Boyes Farm from yourselves.
There are alternative routes available rather than the acces you have chosen, that would significantly improve pedestrian and driver safety. In addition, the existing road layout on these alternatives is already adapted to accommodate large turning points for lorries, which the current proposal does not appear to meet.
Below, I have outlined why I believe this alternative option is safer and more suitable:
The current road proposed for use as the turn-off, Haighton Green Lane, is already extremely tight for two vehicles. In several areas, two cars cannot pass.
There is additional traffic due to ongoing house construction as you turn onto Durton Lane. Once completed, residents will not have a clear view when pulling out of their driveways.
Within the estate, the corners are not wide enough for two cars to turn, let alone construction lorries, which will lead to infrastructure and safety issues.
When exiting Durton Lane onto Haighton Green Lane and looking left, there is no clear view of oncoming traffic. Alternative routes provide significantly better visibility.
Increased traffic is being directed towards the Guild Wheel, raising serious concerns regarding pedestrian safety.
Construction Traffic and Pedestrian Collisions: The primary risk is the mixing of residents and visitors with heavy plant, machinery, and lorries. This is particularly concerning as the route passes through a highly populated residential estate where children regularly play outside.
Obstructed Footways: Construction vehicles or materials may block established footpaths, forcing pedestrians into live traffic lanes.
Temporary Access Hazards: Temporary routes, especially in wet conditions, can become slippery due to mud or clay and may develop trip hazards such as potholes or exposed cables.
Unsecured Construction Areas: Poorly secured scaffolding, ladders, or damaged fencing could allow unauthorised access, particularly by children.
Emergency Access Issues: Poorly managed or increased traffic could obstruct access for emergency vehicles.
Increased Air and Noise Pollution: Construction activity will increase dust, noise, and vibration, potentially affecting residents’ health.
Continuous and robust pedestrian barriers are not feasible, as both walkways and vehicle routes are required for access within the housing estate.
Access Point Control: Separate and secured access points for vehicles and pedestrians are not adequately considered in the current proposal.
Vehicle Management: While banksmen are essential for guiding reversing vehicles, it is unclear whether marshals would realistically be available 24/7 within a large residential estate.
Could you please reconsider using the single-track route as an in/out entrance via Laura’s Homes’ existing construction site at Broddick Close? This option would provide a shorter and significantly safer route for both pedestrians and drivers, with clear visibility for access in and out of the site. It would also eliminate pinch points and difficulties manoeuvring larger vehicles, which are already an issue for cars alone.
Additionally, there is a ditch at the currently proposed entrance that fills during heavy rain and could overflow onto the estate, creating further safety issues.
Thank you for taking the time to consider these points.
Had an issue with an expanding pipe as part of our heating system, we were booked in for an investigation which resulted in the issue being quickly identified, and a follow up appointment booked to later resolve said issue.
Special thanks to Mike, Paul and Gary for being so helpful and professional in helping up today, much appreciated!

Paul and Mike from the customer care team, genuinely care. They made sure to explain exactly what they were going to do and showed us full photos of their work from start to finish. Paul then made sure we were 100% happy with the work done before they left which we was...they cleaned and vacuumed too. Well done lads, thank you.

Paul is a fab worker he explained everything thoroughly and was extremely clean working away, tidying up as he went along. Can’t fault his work and would definitely recommend. 5 stars 🌟

Paul did a fantastic job adding a cosmetic strip above front door to make it look mint. Quick efficient and arrived when stated. Another great example of the very postive customer care I’ve had with Wain Homes. Ian

No consideration for the nature around them, extremely loud with no care for neighbours. Ruining whats left of Englands green spaces despite the community protesting against it and taking over our towns with no thought in the world but feeding the fat man at the top more money.

We had a great experience at Wain Homes. Caroline Jagger was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She made us feel very welcome and we left with a very clear idea of the options available to us.

I had an extremely poor and distressing experience purchasing a home with Wain Homes, and I would not recommend them- particularly to first time buyers.
From the outset, I was subjected to relentless pressure to complete by a specific deadline even though many other homes on the site had been completed and were unsold and unoccupied. I was explicitly told by the sales team that I would lose the home if I did not complete by that specified date no matter the circumstance. I was also threatened with loosing my reservation and holding deposit which forced me into making major decisions before I was ready. Most concerningly, I was pushed into instructing solicitors before I even had a mortgage in place, purely due to these threats.
The situation was created because of Wain Homes recommended mortgage advisors the Mortgage Advice Buraeu failed to secure the correct type of mortgage for the property I was purchasing. This resulted in an incorrect valuation that would not be amended. As a direct consequence, I had no choice but to seek a mortgage advisor myself, which inevitably caused delays-delays that were then unfairly used against me as further justification to rush and pressure me to complete.
I was also strongly encouraged to use the developers recommended solicitors, Davis and Partners, which proved to be a serious mistake. Due to the fact I was a first time buyer I had questions about contracts and searches and they failed to answer or explain anything to me. It was like they just wanted me to sign paperwork I had no clue about. One thing was an insurance plan called a "no search insurance" I asked the solicitor to explain to me what the insurance covered and what they would pay out if something was wrong. To which I got the response that they didn't know and that I would have to contact the insurance broker myself. This I later found out was something the solicitor offers to speed up the purchase process by missing out key property searches to get a sale done faster! They appeared to be working in the interests of the developer rather than my own which completely confused me as I was the one paying them. The experience with them left me feeling unprotected in my interests and unheard with my questions and concerns.
Communication throughout the process was appalling. When attempting to contact the sales team at the Hillwood Gardens site, my calls were routinely ignored, even after leaving multiple voicemails. This lack of responsiveness only added to the stress of an already pressured and confusing process.
As a first-time buyer, I expected guidance, transparency, and a basic level of care. Instead, I experienced intimidation, poor advice, lack of communication, and an overwhelming sense that speed mattered more than doing things correctly. The stress and anxiety caused by this process were significant, and it has completely ruined what should have been an exciting first-time home buying experience. This whole experience eventually led me to withdraw from the purchase as I couldn't meet the unreasonable completion deadline.
I would strongly caution anyone-especially first time buyers to think very carefully before proceeding with Wain Homes and their recommended partners.

We moved into our Wain Homes property in May 2025 and were very happy with the build quality, the materials used, and the on-site service. The on-site sales representative, Bev, is excellent. Rich, the site manager, and his deputy, Craig, have been nothing short of incredible and consistently helpful.
This should have been a five-star review because we genuinely love our home and the on-site team. However, the Severn Valley customer care service has been the worst I have ever experienced. We raised concerns and issues with Customer Care (Severn Valley) in September 2025 and, despite follow-up emails and phone calls, we received no response until I sent a reminder in November, which I got a response to but of any action being taken — and it is now December, still do not know if the issue is being looked into. Calls are repeatedly redirected to voicemail with no follow-up.

We completed on our home (Higher Trewhiddle development) in September and, while we absolutely love the layout and spacious design, we have experienced a number of issues since moving in. That said, Pete Rogers (who I believe is the site manager) has been outstanding. He has gone above and beyond to help us, ensuring problems were addressed and resolved where possible.
Michelle Salter in the sales office also deserves special recognition. She was incredibly supportive throughout the buying process, always approachable and willing to help, with nothing ever feeling like too much trouble.
When we first received the keys, the property had not been cleaned, some elements were unfinished and a paid for upgrade was missing. However, both Pete and Michelle have worked hard and continue to work hard to put things right and their attitude has more than compensated for the initial difficulties.
Whilst we are still waiting for some elements to be fixed/finished, Pete and the team continue to be really helpful.
Living on a construction site hasn’t always been easy, but the site team and contractors have been polite and considerate at all times. Despite the challenges, we’re excited to settle in and look forward to many happy years in our first home.

Purchased a house at the hedgerows development in Blackburn. Overall, happy with the property but customer care is absolutely shocking!
3 months ago, they turned on a street lamp right outside the master bedroom, <1m away from the house. Firstly, I don't even know if a street lamp is allowed to be that close to us. I immediately raised it with them to at the very least put a reflection shield. We have a 10 month old baby who sleep in our room and all we see is light throughout the night even with blackout curtains
I've rang customer care multiple times and emailed over the last 2.5 months with no indication of them even paying attention to it.
