Paid nearly 13 weeks ago, no lamps, no delivery date, no answers.
I ordered 9 wall sconces from Von Chadaux on 24 June 2026 and paid the full invoice by bank transfer the next day. I was promised a lead time of 8 to 10 weeks. That deadline passed weeks ago.
Since payment I have received exactly one substantive reply in almost two months, a single line saying the lamps are "still in production". My email of 29 July was ignored for 33 days. My emails of 31 August and 17 September have not been answered at all, only by an auto-reply promising a response within 1 to 3 working days, which never comes.
The pattern is clear: before the money arrived, replies came within hours. After the money arrived, silence. I have no shipping date, no photos, no tracking and no way of knowing whether these lamps exist. At this point I honestly cannot tell whether I have been scammed or just treated with complete contempt as a paying customer, and the company is doing nothing to convince me it is the latter.
If you are considering ordering custom or made-to-order items from Von Chadaux, do not pay upfront by bank transfer. Use a payment method that gives you buyer protection, or buy elsewhere.
I will update this review if the lamps ever arrive or the money is refunded.
