Above and beyond
I received 5 star service from Nikia Wilson at Volvo Winter Park. I had just purchased a used Volvo from a Volvo dealership in south Florida and was driving it to Ohio (1,000 miles away) where I live. As I was passing through Orlando, I noticed the tire pressure warning. It was the same warning I received while test driving the car. The salesman in south Florida assured me at that time that it would be looked at by his mechanics and taken care of. Well, obviously, it was not. And, later when I called this salesman to tell him that the tire inflation problem was back, he said that maybe I picked up a nail along the way. He knew that this was not true and it was the same issue that we had while I was test driving it. This south Florida dealership dropped the ball by not taking care of this pre-existing condition and not guaranteeing me that they would pay for it later. They sent me on a long journey with a bad tire and later, a bad feeling. After all, what else was going to go wrong? I was upset and disappointed as this was my first Volvo experience. I was now feeling buyer’s remorse. Then, I met Nikia Wilson at Volvo Winter Park and everything changed for the better, including how I felt about the Volvo brand. She had no incentive to help me during a busy day when they didn’t have time for one more customer. And, I didn’t even live in Orlando or buy my Volvo from them. Yet, she gave me the service I always thought a Volvo dealership would offer. She was kind, compassionate, caring and solved the problem. She made room for me on that busy Saturday. And, when at first the mechanic couldn’t find the problem, she insisted that they continue to look because she didn’t want to send a woman by herself on a 1,000 mile trip with a faulty tire. Well, the mechanic eventually found the nail. And, when the dealership from whom I purchased my Volvo said I had to pay for it, she found a way to get me a discount. I can’t thank her enough. So, if you’re looking for great service from a Volvo dealership in Orlando, go to Volvo Winter Park. I only wish I could.
