Volterman and their customer service are trash

I purchased my Volterman smart wallet, it partially worked for three weeks. After two months it failed to recharge, using the supplied (or any other) cord, brick or outlet. Emailed and emailed CS and they could not verify my purchase through their records. Then I sent my invoice info. They still could not verify my purchase but wanted me to shoot a video using the original cord and several different bricks and outlets to verify that other devices could charge. Still no replacement. I tossed it. $200 wasted.

Backed this on September 14...

Backed this on September 14, 2017... Still waiting. Apparently people receive their wallets if ordered from the website direct, but I've yet to hear of ANY backers receiving theirs. Where are these guys based? I'm surprised there hasn't been a class action suit, I'd jump on it if there was!

I only received one of my 2 wallets…

I only received one of my 2 wallets provided proof and they would never send another wallet. Then offered to send me one for money. Total scam... the 1 wallet I did get is a peice of crap and doesn't work.

"Grand idea" That COULD have been.

Grand idea. Weighted 3 years for delivery. Finally, it arrived in good condition. Found first fault, the euro was too big to fit, it covered up the camera. Two compartments were advertised but only one available. The App and Bluetooth pairing went well and the rest appeared to work correctly. The problem started when I went away with only my phone and not the wallet. When I returned, it refused to connect; "Device not found". Re-installed all from beginning, same problem. Wrote to manufacturer explaining the problem. Was requested to send a video of the pairing. Had to do the video a few times since it was too big to send. (Wasted part of the day). I quote hereunder what I was told to do: There should be included in the following elements:

That the video is taken in one shot.
That the wallet is fully charged and turned on
That you open the app, turn on the Bluetooth of your device, and wait for at least 1 minute to connect.
Patiently I uninstalled the App completely, restarted the phone and re-installed the App. At the third attempt, I got it to work BUT the day after, once again I went away w/o the wallet and once again "Device not found". Informed the manufacturer and again the same request came through. It looked like I was working for them instead of them getting the experts to fix the problem. Now I'm fed up. Think the money and time for the delivery was all a waste, so I've decided to go back to the old wallet.
A total waste of money and a waste of a lot of time. But I see that I'm not alone.

We can assure you that the Customer support team will make every effort to solve the inconvenience if you keep in touch with them. Pathetic and Useless

This is one of the biggest wastes of money I ever got conned in to - backed it and got my wallet (the travel wallet) and frankly it just sucks. Doesn't connect, totally finicky, doesn't charge anything...it's literally the thing that got me to never back another project on Indie or Kickstarter...I'll wait for version 2.0 of everything now...I'm not getting conned again. For anyone that has been waiting 2 years for their wallet, chalk it up to experience and don't waste any more time or thought on it. If you want mine, just let me know and you can have it for $10 plus shipping.

18/01/2018 is when I ordered my perks, and to date have never received a thing, even when updating my address with them whenever I moved during that time.

They clearly take advantage of being in some irrelevant little country to avoid other countries consumer laws, and as such was able to steal nearly 3 million US dollars from unwitting customers.

This is likely an elaborate money laundering scheme for a child-trafficking ring, which is not surprising at all.

However, it's natural for any Indiegogo startup campaigner and any backer is notified about possible delays up to fruition of the company and loss of the contributed sum. However, despite all challenges on our path we've overcome all of them and your opinion is really upsetting as I'm sure you should know policy of such campaigns in advance. Anyway, we spare no effort every upcoming day to make satisfied all our backers through our hard work, to provide perks as soon as possible, with the highest quality. You will receive your perk, and there is no doubt, as thousands of our backers did, and then we are sure you will be satisfied.

I received my wallet and it has always worked well. A little rough to connect to but actually recharging it now.

Please stay away, guys. Ordered in 2018 and still nothing to this day.

In response to their message: Guys, it’s been 4 years. This reply is copy/paste BS of the stuff we are continuously told on Facebook, Indigogo and by email. Still nothing after four years, and of course, they refuse to refund me. It’s a known scam, now, but they remain allowed to run it free. Indigogo is complicit. A class action is in the works. STAY AWAY.

Zero stars is too many

Zero stars is the level it should be at. And they are still scamming away, I bitterly reget ever getting involved with these crooks.
Because of this I will no longer support any Indegogo, kickstarter or any similar campaigns. What about a class action suing them in their own country?

Email demanding more money be sent

I recently received an email claiming they had shipped the item in Feb 2020 but it was returned as undeliverable. They want $15 prepayment by paypal to send it again. The email is factually inconsistent and makes no sense at face value. Has anyone else recently received such an email? They use three different names - Kate, Lara and Bella. The words used in the email suggest a British author, but there is no evidence provided they attempted shipment.

Thus it is more than possible to check whether the parcel was shipped initially or not. Never received a product.

After Indigogo contribution in summer of 2017, since no product received. The company has been misleading and outright lying to its backers. Their communication is horrible and continued excuses for delays unacceptable. Do not purchase this or any other product from this company.
