One bad delivery person ruined it

Voila made life extremely easy, but had one driver who called me once, and decided that he should cancel my grocery order. I live in a condo that has both gate house and concierge. Gate house calls when there is delivery and then concierge will let me know when they are at the building, neither of which happened. So when I called to ask why my order was cancelled, they said it was because no one was home, which was not the case. In the past I have had the delivery happen even if I was unable to answer the initial call, and better yet, they would call a second.time or answer the call back.
Voila hired a terrible delivery person and have now lost a client. I will never order from them again.

Love this service !

As a senior who no longer drives, this service is invaluable to me. The delivery drivers are top notch. The grocery selection is great.

Voila refuses to accept payment for…

Voila refuses to accept payment for groceries at time of sale like every other business in the world. You check out but your groceries aren't paid for yet. Ridiculous. They like to charge your card often days later when you are sleeping. This has caused incredible problems, delays, spontaneous cancellations, ruined parties, credit card issues, and completely unnecessary and avoidable difficulties. be forewarned. and yes i have spent hours on the phone with both voila and mastercard. terrible system. dare i say- the worst

Just received my order

Just received my order. The bottom fell out of 2 of the bags. Why?.....because of the moisture from the thoroughly rotten peppers. I offered pictures but they don't want them. Absolutely disgusting mess. Their answer was,"sorry, we will refund the peppers in 2 days " we can't deliver a replacement, now I need to go to the grocery store for peppers! Might just as well have done my own shopping, but I have this service since I am a senior and grocery shopping is difficult. I think I need to try a different service

GREAT SERVICE

My husband went out and forgot voila was coming. They phoned my husband and he told them I to leave them on the front porch. He then phoned me as I am sick in bed,l got up and went to the front and there they were neatly placed. As I was trying to bring them in the guy was leaving and stopped immediately and came back and helped me bring them in. I felt very bad as I didn't have a tip for him, he said don't worry about it. He was very helpful and very polite. Next time I hope my husband will be a little more organized. We live in Dorval.

Voila express food service is fantastic for groceries

You can order groceries really fast the day before. It’s really easy to use the app and they’ll send it the next day. You can choose anytime you want and the times can vary and they’re cheaper and sometime areas for the next day they’re fantastic. They have products that other companies don’t they have some of the best tasting frozen products I’ve ever had and no store carries these except Sobeys Sobeys is actually.

BEST GROCERY DELIVERY SERVICE EVER!

Over the past year I have used voila.ca as our IGA delivery service. I previously used Metro. Their website IS MUCH EASIER to navigate and our delivery always delivers in the 1 or 2 hour time frame. The people who pull your groceries pull like they are shopping for their own family. -Joe Sunseri

ID Policy Not Transparent

Created an account under my name and ordered some groceries for my grandma. Upon arrival, the delivery driver refused to give her the groceries because I wasn’t there to provide ID. I contacted customer service, they said that’s their policy and there’s nothing they can do. The driver left with my groceries and I still haven’t been issued a refund.

Frustrated with disrespect, expired groceries, ignorant call takers, and lost money

I have been a Voila customer for quite a while out of necessity (health problems). I am frustrated with the inconsistencies and lack of respect. They tell you to call if you are not satisfied then proceed to give you the third degree.
Treated like a dog today. Like usual, groceries came in ready to expire in two days. Can't use them. Approximately $35. worth out of the $200+ total. First guy put me on hold twenty minutes and didn't come back to the phone. Second guy jerked me around and refused to give full refund for expired and damaged products. Third (lady): lousy, ignorant attitude. Over an hour and three different people on the phone: no resolution.
I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars, and they treat me like dirt.
Done. Don't know where I'll go but can't take the disrespect, high prices, and lost groceries every week.

I am a senior therefore free delivery

I am a senior therefore free delivery. Have mobility problems and on 2nd floor walkup, therefore Voila brings right to my 2nd floor, saving me carrying my groceries up 2 flights of stairs. Voila has Longo products which are superior quality. Yes there are better prices elsewhere, but I can stay home, have free delivery. No transportation cost which is not cheap. Always on time. They call me just before arrival. All drivers have been very well mannered. I recommend Voila. I always choose to tip because of 2 flights of stairs. Thank you

Found that their $60 refund for the first 3 orders was not applied to me. After a lengthy conversation with their Rep, I found no satisfaction. I will not receive this benefit. I was told to read their statement in their Web site. I'd advise those considering using this grocery to go to Instacart or any other merchandiser of home deliveries.

I used to use Voila a lot

I used to use Voila a lot. They were reliable and efficient. Their drivers are always very good. However, recently any deals on the site are out of stock. They are more expensive to shop at than Walmart and President's choice. There is no requirement to tip (their drivers tell me they are paid better than door dash, instacart etc) but even with tipping it's less expensive to use PC or Walmar and even Save-on on the first Tuesday of the month can be a better deal when they have 15% off. I have a credit with them which I will probably spend but I am not likely to renew my delivery pass

Do NOT recommend Voila

I bought a discounted annual pass for Voila delivery at off peak times. It started out great. For the first two months they had all of the products I usually buy at Safeway and a variety of 1-hour delivery timeslots to choose from. The quality of the produce was top notch and the drivers almost always arrived right at the top of the hour. The service was very convenient. But after a couple of months the products I ordered were no longer available online and I found myself having to go to the grocery store anyway to pick up our weekly essentials. (What's the point of having a Voila subscription if you still have to go grocery shopping??) I sent Voila customer service an email and they responded with a $5 off coupon. Then they changed the delivery timeslots to 3-hour blocks, which meant I had less predictability and had to wait at home for grocery deliveries. Given that I signed up for the service because of our family's busy schedule and needing to streamline the time it takes for menu planning and shopping each week, the Voila subscription was no longer serving its purpose. If that wasn't bad enough, for the past three weeks, the website is down and I have been unable to order online at all. I would strongly advise anyone reading these reviews to find another service for your home grocery delivery. I can't recommend Voila. I feel like a sucker for paying for this subscription in advance.

New customer ,senior with an injury

New customer ,senior with an injury. Love everything except I ordered 3 prepackaged salads. All three were outdated the next day. I had to give 2 to neighbours (live alone) I phoned Voila , very abrupt said that meets their freshness guarantee ,really? Maybe they should teach their robots to read. Other than that it's a great service.

Unreliable!

My order was cancelled three times because my credit card companies assumed the charges were fraudulent. Each time I rectified the situation with my credit card company but wasn’t able to rebook my original pick up slot. Customer service was unable to manually correct the issue. Very frustrating experience when you are expecting to have groceries.
