The fob is very good for convenience.
My family was scammed, and I want to warn others so this doesn’t happen to you. I called what I believed was the ADT customer service number, but it turned out to be a fake ADT line. That number connected me to a salesperson who claimed to represent ADT and told me there was a “problem” with my system. They said I needed to switch to Vivint to resolve it and transferred me directly to Vivint sales. Trusting that information, I went through the time, effort, and expense of installing a brand-new Vivint system — only to later discover that my original ADT account was still active and billing me. I now have two home security systems, both under contract, and the financial burden of paying for both. This entire experience has been stressful, misleading, and costly. I strongly urge anyone contacting ADT or Vivint to verify the phone number directly from the company’s official website. I also hope both companies take responsibility for protecting consumers from scams like this and helping victims like my family resolve these contracts.
Great for turning on or off your system. Very handy.
Like the ease of use
The key fob is a great product to have if you or anyone like an elderly person is not good with phones or the control center for the system which is like a tablet can be controlled by the buttons on the key fob.
