Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 62 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers found the customer service to be exceptionally poor, citing unresponsiveness, long wait times, and difficulty reaching support for online tickets or phone calls. People frequently encountered issues with their orders, including products not shipping, missing items, or receiving incorrect or damaged goods. The return process was often described as frustrating and difficult, with some customers being denied returns for unused products or facing long delays for refunds on faulty items. However, some customers also noted positive interactions, particularly with specific staff members who were described as helpful, knowledgeable, and professional in certain store locations. Conversely, a few other people felt that some sales staff were pushy or provided misleading information to secure a sale, leading to dissatisfaction with their purchases.

Visions are crooks

I received a tv that had nicks on the top bezel. I thought it was minor so I kept it. A week later, noticed blochiness and pixelated image issues and they won’t exchange or return it. Horrible experience

No customer services AT ALL

No customer services AT ALL. Purchased a TV in Dec 2024, with an extended (2 year) warranty for my mom. She subsequently started having issues with it in August 2025, with it completely going dead. It came back to life after several days and we chalked it up to an elderly person pushing the wrong button. But then it happened again a month later and the Rogers tech advised us to follow up with Visions as this is a clearly defective TV.
Going to the website, you'll notice there is only a a chat bot for assistance. The chatbot says to complete the Warranty Claim form on the website, only there ISN'T one. The only alterative is to submit a ticket via their website, which I did. The next day I received a customer survey, asking how satisfied I was with their response to my warranty claim inquiry--which has been their only communication so far. That was over 2 weeks ago. They have never responded, even after multiple messages on the original ticket (which is supposedly a conversation between support and myself).
I have now called the 1-888 number, and am speaking with someone who sounds like she is talking from the bottom of a well. There is a tv blaring in the background, and it is clear she is "working from home". I gave her the invoice number and she asked ME, if I have a warranty? I told her that she should know, seeing as I purchased it from Visions. She placed me on 10 minutes hold only to come back and say I had to contact the local Visions store.
I asked if she was aware that there is noone answering the online tickets and she asked if I have a ticket number, which I gave to her. Completely bypassing my question, she is now acting surprised to see that ticket indicates I bought the TV in Dec 2024. Now instead of contacting the local Visions store she says I have to contact the TV manufacturer for help (I already did and they referred me back to Visions). Still no answer as to why my support ticket is unanswered after 2.5 weeks.
Customer service rep has just come back (now 42 minutes on the call with them) and said they can't do anything for me, I have to contact the TV manufacturer. Unless I have written proof from the manufacturer that they referred me back to Visions (how would I submit that? "Create a ticket on our website"). What an absolute gong show.
So beware, buying from Visions may seem like a good idea, but there is NO customer service or warranty support provided AT ALL. Go elsewhere even if you have to pay more.

Vision Electronics doesn't tell you directly about its 'return exceptions policy'

Vision Electronics has a "tucked away policy" that allows them to deny the return of an unused product. This policy is not displayed or referred to on the product pages, the Help Centre pages, the Returns and Refunds page, the Check Out or Payment pages. Even the online customer service person needed time to find it on a drop down side bar marked simply as 'Exceptions'. This may be legal but it is not clearly stated for a reason. When you purchase, your product may be designated as a 'return exception' although you will not be directly informed of this fact. Buyer beware!

If zero stars was an option I would…

If zero stars was an option I would give them that. My sister and our families bought a tv from the Pembina Hwy location in Winnipeg for our father’s 90th birthday, us, our children and a couple of his great grandchildren went together to purchase it, we opened it up to take it out of the box which was packed with top and bottom styrofoam protectors but no side ones. Upon putting it up on the wall mount there was a crack on the side, when we took it back to the store to replace it they as much as called us liars and then came up with the conclusion that we were not getting anything, never said actually why the decision was made to not honour the purchase. I had to go through all kinds of phone calls with which I was hung up on after 20 minutes waiting to be told by a recording that there was no one available to help me and hung up on. Long story short we don’t have a birthday gift for my Dad and are out 600.00 because of this company not believing their customers, do yourself a favour and never shop at Vision’s. My sister also wrote a review and upon posting the review received a response that the OWNER had sent it saying that they want to make things right but the process to go through to make things right was the process we both went through to make things right and that we needed to contact Steven the assistant manager of the Pembina Hwy location who was the worst person to deal with, we are sure the reply stating that was also automated. Like I said never shop at Vision’s

Visions 2 year warranty program is a…

Visions 2 year warranty program is a complete joke. Bought a $3500 tv from them and 20months later the tv blew up ($2000 repair quote by there tech)
Was told they would send info to head office for approval of new tv. Head office refused the warranty because i unsubscribed to there mailing list. WTF!! So in order to keep your 2 year warranty you need to keep receiving junk mail and it’s like every day. Nothing in there invoice or paperwork gave any “ details” about this very weak warranty. Management at Langley were no help … Best Buy from here on in !

Aggressive salesman

I went in today to ask about the extended warranty I had purchased two years ago with a tv that had recently broke during a move. The warranty does not cover physical damage which was expected but when I originally purchased it I was told if I never used said warranty I could come back to the store and use that $350 as store credit on a new tv but what I wasn’t told was that the warranty can only be used once it expires in 3 years which is very disappointing as I need a new tv now not in 3 years.

On top of that the salesman was extremely pushy and off putting trying to get me to buy a tv right then and there after I made it clear I only came in to ask about the warranty and not buy something. He wouldn’t take no for an answer and it got to the point where I had to get angry and raise my voice for him to back off. It was this salesman that completely turned me off buying anything at this store and I’ll be buying my next tv from Best Buy.

Single worst customer experience I've ever had

Please note that this review pertains only to online purchases; I imagine in-store experiences can’t be this bad. Also note that I've never left a negative review for anything in my life, as I don't want to affect people's livelihoods, but people need to be warned off this company.

I purchased 2 of the same item online, and was only shipped one, so submitted a ticket and was told they would get back to me "asap".

A week later I had gotten no further response, so followed up asking if my ticket had been reviewed any further. They informed me they would be sending out the missing item asap, and I hoped the issue was resolved.

I received the replacement item a week later, but opened it to find that I had been sent a completely unrelated, unwanted item, so I reached out again and requested a refund while offering to send the incorrect item back. They told me they would refund me (again, for an item that I paid for and was never sent) as soon as the incorrect item they sent the second time around was received back at their warehouse and passed their "inspection"; in addition, I was informed this was a signature required pickup by the carrier, so would need to spend a WFH day waiting to hand off an item within an 8-hour window to correct their company's mistake. Wanting to just be done with this, I agreed, hoping that once I did this final thing I would never have to think about interacting with this company again.

Five weeks after the initial purchase, two weeks after sending the incorrect item back, and a week after carrier tracking shows they have received the item, not only have I not received the refund, but I have not received any further communications whatsoever. I have followed up one final time, making it clear that if my money is not returned to me by the end of the week, I will be disputing the credit card charge.

I worked retail customer service for 15 years, so I understand as well as anyone that errors happen, but the absolute lack of consideration and continued broken commitments to resolve the issue is borderline deceptive business practice. Again, leaving a negative review is not something I ever want to do, but if you value your time and money, do not spend a penny at this company.

Home Theater Speakers Setup

I purchased a complete set of home Theater speakers at 1224 Dundas St East Mississauga, Ontario. Sanchit was always very helpful and knowledgeable in advising what speakers work best for my setup. Highly recommended Sanchit as he gave the best price and the most affordable terms for my electronic purchases. Thank you Sanchit. Excellent work

Thank you to Carie at Lethbridge, visions, location for fixing my problems. HE Gave me a great deal on a stove, and that's what I wanted initially and also redeemed one of my warranties towards an air conditioner purchase. He is a true manager, and I am grateful that he reached out to me. Thank you again

I ordered a TV by mistake and cancelled the next day by submitting a ticket. 2 days later, I received an email that my item has been shipped. 2 DAYS AFTER CANCELLATION!!. I submitted another ticket but no response. I called and waited for 40 minute with no response and they hung up on me after I waited for 40 minute! Their Costumer service is absolute trash.

Terrible service, unhelpful stuff

My girlfriend ordered a Canon camera in September while being told it would be ready for delivery in 1 month. It's been more than 7 month and she still hasn't gotten her camera! Moreover, the store claims it was a final purchase and it says so on the receipt. She WAS NOT notified of the fact it was a final purchase and it DOES NOT say so on the receipt. After showing extreme levels of incompetence, lying about the delivery time and providing false information about the final purchase notification, the store stuff continues being uncooperative and unhelpful. It took me 4 phone calls only to find out that the manager wouldn't agree to issue a refund, referring to some store policies. Not to mention, the manager himself is never there when you try to talk to him directly. Firstly, store stuff provides false information to make you complete the purchase. Then, once the $1400 product is nowhere to be seen, all they offer you is store credit or suggesting to buy another item. Absolutely terrible service!!!

BUYERS BEWARE

BUYERS BEWARE: you arrange to buy a large screen TV (85") online as will be too large to fit into own car. Despite store with TV in stock a mere 15 mins away, online process means u have a 7 day wait with useless or no updates. TV is eventually delivered and box is very damaged. Sure enough when unpacked (and turned on) TV is smashed up. Visions ask you for a dozen pictures, are un-responsive, don't answer questions, avoid request to cancel and ultimately you wait another week for a replacement. 'Best' part is once new TV arrives Visions leave the original damaged TV with you and say dispose of it yourself. How - reason for delivery was due to it not fitting in car. Shameful practices.
