I had no issues when making the reservation. The real problem started after the rental.
A €2,000 security deposit was not released on time and ended up being charged to my credit card. Despite multiple emails, I still have no clear explanation of when or how my money will be refunded.
VIPCars.com has failed to properly manage this issue with its rental partner. Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend their service.
VIP car rental use a nasty trick: they send a booking confirmation with a pick-up time several hours in advance of the time you request, then when you arrive there, the car is "gone" because you are too late (there is no time limit on the booking confirmation). Then you are offered a car for a 200% mark-up, that you end up having to take because you are stranded somewhere on the outskirts of LHR. If you ring VIP cars they are in India and totally useless. Will never use this car rental again
