I went yesterday with coupon in hand. One guy I've seen regularly started the process and then I feel scammed. The second guy fast talked me. He went over gas treatment prices, mentioning 3 different... See more

Service Falling Down Hard
Tech used a machine to "suck"the oil out of my engine. When I asked why he said Nissan recommends this way of removing old oil. That's a lie. When the reminder sticker was printed it showed 3 months / 3000 miles. Owners manual shows 6 months or 5000 miles. Requested a corrected sticker but was told the computer prints the sticker and they have no control over it. Fishy at best - probably BS.

Went to Valvoline on broadway in San Antonio Texas. I had been going there for almost 10 years or more I usually ask for a discount and get $10 off or $5. This time the guy that charge me for the service said he didn’t have anything and did not even look to see if he could offer me a discount. He looks young which shows me that he has no customer service skill and he was very arrogant. Don’t put this young ones in charge they do not know anything about customer service. If you go he is the one that has a neck full of tattoos. He did not want to put the sticker on the windshield he was giving it to me to put it. Which they always do it. I told him put it on I am paying for this service since you can not give me a discount finish doing your job. He did place it but place it on top of another sticker I had on the windshield. You can tell he does not like his job!

terrible service
Had to find a new place to get oil change and inspection due to sale of company after 23 years of excellent service to me. Came to your chain. Big mistake. Assistant manager pushing my truck back and forth moving the tires trying to lift it to inspect it. Start the truck to leave and the ABS light is on. She says I did nothing. I call a mechanic friend and he is asking her questions. She is denying everything. Says we can get it looked at and bring the bill and they will determine if it is their fault. We leave and go right back. My friend asked her if the ignition was on when they were moving the truck. She said no. We confronted her asked how she was moving the truck if the ignition was not on. You cannot put a vehicle in neutral without the ignition on. Now her story changes. Cannot recall. Told her what she told us. You have cameras don't you? I think she saw the light on and hoped we would not see it. She got caught and lied. My friend said what she did could cause the ABS light to come on. Now I have to lose more time from work and have my truck checked for a problem I did not have until your employee touched my truck. The light was off when I got there and should be off when I left. When I said that and that I would never f'ing come back and make sure every person I know will never come there she said that is up to me. I did nothing wrong. Of course that was before we went back and she got caught in her lie. I expect your company to make this right but she gave me very little confidence that you would. There are other avenues to go with complaints. I am doing so. Word of mouth can ruin a company. 62 and have never had an oil change and inspection to cost me lost wages and my time. That is not to mention how much to get the truck fixed. I understand mistakes but not lies.
Never will be back and will tell everyone the story. Maybe even News 2 who hopes people get things fixed.
Oil Change Went Great!
Best oil change experience yet! Yeah they're always going to try to upsell you on stuff you don't want or need, but that's a given at this point. The staff member was very friendly and we joked around the whole time, even added my military discount! Thank you to Jake in Indianapolois, will be coming back.

i worked for valvoline for 15 years and was required to fly cross country despite having severe PTSD and fear of heights and when i complained about the night terrors gettting worse as a result the fired me as soon as the statutory of limitations had been exceeded.
Do not trust Valvoline
I had an oil change completed on my vehicle by Valvoline Instant Oil Change. Four days later, while driving the car, it started running extremely rough and my check engine light came on. I pulled over and found that the oil cap was off my engine and sitting near the radiator. I checked my dipstick for the oil level, and none registered. Once home, I called my repair shop about the issue. They advised to call Valvoline and file a claim, as apparently they didn't do something correctly during the oil change service to cause the oil loss. I spoke the shop manager (Josiah), who came to my home to look at the car. We discussed the issue and the fact that it appears his worker didn't get the oil cap back on properly, to which he eventually agreed. He then insisted that his area manager be allowed to come look at the car, which I agreed to. After a later discussion, I was advised to have the vehicle towed to my local mechanic, which I did. I never heard back from Valvoline, so I contacted them a week and a half later. I was told after review, they were not going to cover my claim. I spoke with my mechanic to ask how much the engine would be to repair. I told him that Valvoline denied my claim. He explained to me that my timing chain skipped a tooth and destroyed my engine due to low oil and that indeed it was Valvoline’s fault. He also told me that he spoke to both Valvoline managers and told them that this damage was caused by a low oil level. I asked him if he would make that statement if I was to seek legal counsel and he agreed. I contacted Valvoline customer care to find out how to appeal the claim denial, because my mechanic explained to me and both Valvoline managers that low oil would cause the damage that was done to my engine. I explained to them that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau, The Attorney General's Office and possibly seeking legal action against them.
I was Very Pleased with my Oil Change

south bend Indiana location on Ireland…
south bend Indiana location on Ireland Road on 1/12/24. Did not open on time because the manager did not arrive. It is now 805 and they have no clue when he’s coming which caused customers to wait outside and drive off.
Dripped oil on engine not cleaned up
The ratings on the vioc web site must be a joke. Can't find a way to enter a rating so doing it here. Went to Valvoline Oil Change in Fishkill, NY. My complaint is that they did not clean up after themselves. There were too many spots on my engine where oil had dripped. They should have been more professional to try to clean those spots up. Aren't they being paid to leave the engine as clean as they found it?
Trying to get my vehicle damage they caused paid for.
My complaint about damage claim has been denied, this is my letter to corporate.
Sean (name on title)
Cheri (wife) She brought our Explorer in for the oil change and filed the claim. I wish to handle the correspondence moving forward.
Cheri brought our 2012 Explorer to the Kinston location in August. The oil pan bolt was crosthreaded by the tech and leaked. They admitted that and sent us to Kinston Automotive and Tire for a repair. 1001 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28501. In hindsight I should have refuse a repair and demanded a new oil pan from Valvoline. The repair failed and now my claim to get it fixed is denied. The area manager (Ben) will not call me back. I was told it is "up to them" to refile a claim. Kinston Automotive said the repair can only be done once. They did that. My vehicle never leaked oil and now I have a mess in my garage and have to check my oil daily. Whomever was on the chat yesterday could care less. I am getting an estimate today for a new oil pan and I will let you know how much it is. I have no plans on paying for it. My car never leaked oil until I used your service.
Waiting to see what they say.
I hope this helps anyone who needs an oil change in Kinston to rethink going there.
Went to the 2605 Hwy 31 S
Went to the 2605 Hwy 31 S, Decatur, AL 35603 location. 100 bucks for synthetic. Ok, I good with it. About 2000 miles later, I noticed a puddle in my carport. After investigating, it was oil. Found the problem. My dipstick was halfway out and laying across the upper manifold area. They didn't really secure it back in and the pressure pushed it out over time. I went to Minor Tire down the street and they fixed me up right for 30 bucks cheaper. They also cleaned up the oil the best they could. I added some in and did spill some. VIOC is a overpriced joke. I contacted Customer Care and don't know what response I will get. I would like to get a full credit on everything I spent their. Lot cheaper than replacing an engine.
Worst service and management
I took my 2013 Chevy Cruze in for an oil change at 1205 SE HWY 101 lincoln city, OR on a Sunday at 4:20pm. By 10:00am Monday morning my car is spelling awful smell, I called thinking something must be wrong. The lady rep stated at times they spell oil when changing it on the engine and it gives off a bad strong smell. She said bring it in and their shop would take a look at it. By 12:00pm at lunch time driving the car it still smells and now shortly later the check engine light is on. Stopping at a local autozone on my way back to Valvoline they said that the oil is lean. I said impossible I just got an oil change. We head over to Valvoline and have to stop at an auto shop as my car is now smoking, awful smell, and failing to drive. Turns out that their was no oil cap on, no oil where it should be, but oil everywhere under my hood! When I call valvoline they pulled the the footage. It shows the employee struggling to remove my oil cap for over 10 seconds. Once he finally does they procced with services. Once we went back to the auto shop the oil cap was lodge under a hose. Once found it was inspected and found a piece was broken. The store area manager quickly said that it's not a clean break, that means it's been broken awhile now and not the fault of his crew. I don't understand how we can determine how long something been broke for. I argued repeatedly that my car was fine before coming into Valvoline. I didn't have oil under my hood. My check engine wasn't on. We visibly see your employee struggling to get the oil cap off as it was secured and tighten on. As professionals I brought my car to be serviced and now it's un drivable. After arguing I started a claim. The area manager refused to give me contact to his offices. They refused to give me the footage of the oil service being performed. I had to actually go by a usb drive myself to get video. They didn't offer to top off my oil as it was completely drained out. They didn't offer to help clean the oil from my hood. Not a free oil change after I just paid $107 less than 24 hours and having to buy another service to get my fluids replenished.
I sent in all the appropriate documents for my claim. Including the inspection report from my car being repaired weeks earlier on another issue. The auto shop than checked and inspected again the Friday prior to my oil change noting my car in good health. No issues. No lights on and driving fine. I called Monday to get an update on my claim status to find out that my claim was denied minutes after submitting it by the area manager and the store manager. As I attempted to explain this and demand another manager review my claim she continued to state that it's over. It's denied. You can appeal. Their decision is final. It was properly investigated. I demand and letter of the denial, their investigation process, and what their findings were to conclude a denial. She stated she would email the same store and area manager. I was never contacted during their "investigation". A few days later they send me a very generic letter of denial of claim sent by the same area manager brodie Barrick. It stated I was filing a claim due to causing engine damage and that they did a through investigation to the findings it wasn't caused by their shop. I never reported or claimed that in my statements, or my receipts. The claim case even said a broken oil cap.
Terrible service
Went to the VIOC on Kenwood in Lakeville MN. Took an hour and a half to get an oil change. 4 techs (including the manager) were at standing around talking the entire time while multiple customers were waiting. Tech lied to my face about filling washer fluid. They asked what tire pressure I wanted then proceeded to go socialize and didn't check the tires at all until I reminded them they hadn't done it before I left. When I tried to talk to the manager on duty about the service she was extremely rude.
Why sell wrong oil ????

Damaged/stripped drain plug is normal wear and tear on vehicle w 107k miles on it
Went to Valvoline Boise where they stripped my drain plug and replaced it with a rubber seal. They had done the previous 3 oil changes. Had to have my mechanic replace the oil plan and after returning to them to have them reimburse me for the damage they did, was told its not cover. Drain bolts are normal wear and tear. Made a claim with customer service and was told someone would get back with me within 24 hrs. Waited a week and called customer service and they said that if a claim is denied they don't contact you. Do not use this company. That don't stand by their work and if they damage your vehicle they could care less about making it right.
Their Negligence Destroyed my Property
Ran over a bolt in their garage, and they refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing, nor attempt to provide any realistic compensation (half off a future oil change does not come close to the cost of a new tire I now have to face). Don't let them blame you for their destruction of your property.
Bait and switch
They sent my wife around to find a oil filter after another center sent her there because the other center in Kissimmee didn't have synthetic oil really? It's like going to KFC and they say we don't have chicken... I called corporate.. they gave me a 50 % coupon which they did not honor.. worst company.. better off going elsewhere..they Bait and switch all day long.. ripoff company..untrustworthy called back Benjiman at corporate he said nothing we can do...horrible taking advantage of a woman ..I said I want my original oil back in my car and they wouldnt do it ..I'll be going elsewhere obviously
Had an Oil change completed at…
Had an Oil change completed at Valvoline Instant Oil change at 58TH AND LYNDALE, Minneapolis and they did not install the oil filter gasket! I was moving my daughter and noticed a large amount of oil under the pickup truck in Tohah, WI. I am a big fan of Valvoline; however, I would never go to this store again, they left me stranded and almost ruined my engine, still trying to clean up all the oil under the truck.
Valvoline called the cops because not wanting to replace a battery under warranty
Belton, Missouri… The worst possible place now with the worst manager, Matthew. We have done so much business with Valvoline but never again. Wife purchased a new battery from these guys in March and took the battery back several times because the car continues to not start. Wife has a new car, fyi. However each time she goes there the continue to say there is nothing they can do with the battery under warranty. Nissan Dealership and Firestone both this week stated the battery needs to go back to Valvoline. In order to get a be car to start we had to call AAA, who also stated it is the battery. My this was the third time my wife took the battery up there only to hear they will do nothing because it looks fine to me. When I told him I don’t feel comfortable for my wife to drive this car with kids in this state, Matthew stated he was calling the authorities. Matthew as the Manager not once even look at the car himself. Matthew only came out himself after I continued to ask and his employee kept saying to get a new battery had to call on the phone her manager 3 times when he was in the back the entire time. Guess what? We were the only customers there. When he was calling the authorities and giving them car information with description he said it on the phone to the cops like we were criminals only to laugh. Matthew thought we were intimidated but I supported him calling the cops because we did nothing wrong. When Officer Purh arrived witnessed that this was not a criminal call like Matthew described. Then other cops continued to show up. The cops then realized we were not in the wrong for any phone call to be administered based on us asking him as the manager to assess the new battery that he failed to do. I had to beg Officer Puhr to get a police report because normally they do only Criminal and I was told this was civil based on his actions. I have the police report and it’s a shame because after I congratulated the officers to getting me the report which Matthew called. Matthew then told the cops if we showed paperwork from the other places he would change the battery that was still under warranty. We had the paperwork and him as the manager should asked when i initially told him that we did went to other places to get other opinions outside of them not wanting to help initially. I told the officers at this point I appreciate the offer but I do not trust Matthew and his staff to work on the car after the unprofessionalism that was displayed. Not only his staff was laughing based on his actions as a leader but when I told him I would take a picture for my records they then told him to smile for the camera like it’s a joke. The picture displayed shows the furthest he even got to the car. This makes me wonder if anytime there is a customer issue that a Matthew needs to make right, instead of fixing just calls the cops on people to intimidate. The Police on arrival new who he was like this happened before. There was other things I will not say on this review in regards to how I was treated, however I will be seeking civil ramifications because there were a lot of things not justified including lackluster service.
