Vinted ignores carrier evidence – Zero support for seller




I am extremely disappointed with Vinted's support. I sent a pair of earrings, but the parcel arrived empty. The carrier (PostNord) had explicitly placed an official "Damaged/Vi ber om ursäkt" sticker on the parcel, admitting that the damage occurred during transit.

Despite providing clear photographic evidence of this official carrier admission, Vinted support (represented by 4 different agents: Salma, Osama, Khaled, etc.) continues to send the exact same automated response claiming "improper packaging". They are completely ignoring the fact that the carrier admitted fault.

Vinted has refunded the buyer and refuses to pay me, essentially letting me bear the cost of a shipping error that was documented by the courier. It is impossible to get a human response that actually addresses the evidence.

Delivery handlers stealing parcel contents

Great platform to make spare cash from your old stuff until the delivery drivers start opening parcels, pocketing the goods and then leaving sellers out of pocket!!!

I have been trying to contact Vinted for a number of days now and have received no response in regards to an Apple Watch that has mysteriously vanished from very well triple packed parcel!

So, Vinted team, if you see this please could someone comeback to me in regards to the below….

I have now attempted to contact Vinted on a number of occasions and have received no response.

The customer contacted me after collecting her parcel which should have contained an Apple Watch Series 3 from an InPost locker explaining that the box was empty.

The customer sent me over photographs of the packaging and the empty box. I asked the customer to explain to me how the contents was wrapped and informed me that she opened the bag from the middle (as you can see in the photo), the The White Company Hand and Soap Box (the parcel contents was placed in this box to ensure the items didn’t get damaged in transit) was within the parcel, when opening the box there was pink and black tissue paper within the box and no watch or accessories.

I explained to the customer that this is not how the parcel was packaged and it was packaged like so…

Watch device wrapped in bubble wrap
Straps wrapped in bubble wrap
Watch and straps placed on top of the black tissue paper within the box and charger placed on top of the bubble wrapped items
Lid placed onto the box
Box wrapped in pink tissue paper and secured with clear tape
Box placed into self seal postage bag
Brown postage tape to seal the sides of the bag for extra security

Upon reviewing the photos sent to me by the customer you can see the top of this bag has been opened and sealed back with clear selotape, indicating this parcel has been tampered with during transit.

My customer now doesn’t have the item she paid for, I don’t have my original item and nor do I have the money I sold it for! Meaning I am double out of pocket.

Vinted have asked me for photos of the item packaged prior to sending via the app, I replied to this message some days ago and have sent several follow ups and have received nothing back.

I do not have photographs of the item packaged as this isn’t a requirement, however, from now on I will be recording myself from when I pack an item to the moment I post as this seems to be an ongoing issue with items being stolen during transit!

I would like this matter to be investigated by Vinted, I know that all InPost lockers have 24/7 CCTV and I would like this footage to be requested so you can review how the parcel has been packaged and this will be evidenced that the parcel has been tampered with during transit.

Please can someone come back to me urgently.

I have bought many items on Vinted…

I have bought many items on Vinted previously and have sold more than 150 items there. I’ll continue to sell items but I won’t be buying anything there again. You have to pay a “buyer protection fee” but recently I got sent the wrong item by a seller. Before I can get any money back, I have to pay all return fees, even though I have been sent the wrong item (the seller has admitted she’s mixed orders and sent two buyers the wrong thing). When I have written and asked Vinted what the buyer protection covers then, they replied “items that are significantly not as described”. When i said that getting the wrong item is definitely item not as described, they just kept replying that according to their terms and conditions I am responsible to pay the return fee; even if I’m sent the wrong item, an item I have not initially bought. I’m actually wondering if I’m getting AI generated responses because it feels completely ridiculous it doesn’t seem true.
I feel it’s too risky to buy from them now. You’re buying from individuals who can maybe send you a product that’s not great condition, for example, and you’ll be up against Vinted’s customer service who get to decide if u get a refund or not, or if you have to pay yourself. You also have to pay high shipping costs from all different buyers if you want to buy numerous things. Highly do not recommend this “business” at all, which is sad because it used to be good.
