I like that Vinted tracks my favourites and suggest things I might like. I dislike that there are a lot of items for sale that are brandnew from people’s own stores or maybe bought in bulk online... See more

Do not sell on Vinted!!!!
Sold a bowl. Only described it as a bowl. The buyer clearly thought it was silver. I never wrote it was. In fact I never even described the material. He then sends pictures of him putting abrasive acid on it and tells me he wants to return it. As I refuse he disputes it with Vinted who asks me to show proof of authenticity. But they can’t tell me what I need to authenticate. They then tell me I have to accept the return as I didn’t provide enough evidence of authenticity. And again they can’t tell me what to authenticate and keeps sending me a standard copy pasted reply. They also completely ignore that the buyer has now damaged the bowl by putting acid on it. Do not sell on Vinted!!!! It’s a waste of time and money and they completely neglect the sellers. And you end up with damaged items Se mindre
Everything Perfect
Maximum compensation a seller can receive if a parcel is damaged in transit is “internal information that cannot be disclosed.”
Vinted told me that the maximum compensation a seller can receive if a parcel is damaged in transit is “internal information that cannot be disclosed.”
Let that sink in for a moment.
If you sell something valuable on the platform, you have no way of knowing what financial risk you’re taking if the courier damages the item.
You can’t see the compensation limits.
You can’t increase insurance.
You can’t declare the value.
You don’t even choose the courier — the buyer does.
But Vinted knows the value of every transaction because it processes the payment.
In my case I sold an electronic item for €100. I followed every packaging rule, documented the packing process on video, and Vinted confirmed the parcel was damaged in transit.
The buyer was refunded in full.
My compensation: €17.
When I asked how sellers can see the compensation limits for different couriers so we can make informed decisions, I was told that information is internal and cannot be disclosed.
So effectively sellers are playing risk roulette when shipping expensive items.
After more than 30 emails with support and legal, the answer remains the same.
I’m now pursuing this through the European Small Claims Procedure and raising the transparency issue with the Dutch Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM).
This isn’t about €83.
It’s about whether sellers on large marketplaces should be able to see the financial risk they are taking before they ship an item.
Because right now, on Vinted, you can’t.
Robbed
Made a sale , had proof of drop off , parcel shop confirmed dispatch, transport company (dpd) advised their driver did not scan parcel , my transaction is cancelled , buyer left negative feedback , dpd admit their fault but need communication from vinted which vinted will not provide (no evidence of dispatch but that is acknowledged by dpd). Dpd have asked for a customer number from
Vinted which Vinted are yet to
Provide, have lost £15 and gained a negative review to boot. Customer service is appalling
I just bought something from Belgium to…
I just bought something from Belgium to the Netherlands, the screendump showed delivery costs for one pair of jeans, very small package eur 2,90, on the contrary the invoice showed eur 9,19. Several times I tried a solution with the helpdeks and they do not admit their failure, so in this case do not use vinted, further deliverytime sometimes is really rediculous, what is wrong with this organization
When you make good photos and sell…
When you make good photos and sell multiple products, you will get a selling restriction. They believe i am a business, sold only 5 things. What a joke. Others sell a lot more 🤣
Wish I did this sooner
It’s very easy, wish I did this sooner. This is a very good way to clean your closet.
Verification is a scam
Bought sneakers with verification
Trying to sell again and now with buyers verification, they dont pass. Highway robbery and a scam this 'verification'
First having me pay for 'professional' verification
Second when I buy it, making me believe it is original
Third having the buyer having to pay for the same fake verification.
Worst part: Warnings like I am the criminal, saying they will ban me from the site.....by using their own scams.
Quite a business model....Chapeau Vinted
Buyers paradise, sellers hell!
The various shipping options are too often not available which forces me to choose Mondial Relay which I don't like. Items, even though properly packed arrive at the buyer damaged because there are too many shipping hubs along the way.
Shipping options are capped on weight or dimensions so to be able to send some of my items I need to "trick" the app and upload my items under a wrong category. That doesn't help with visibility in the app itself.
The ease of placing items online is good. The insurance value never meets the item value so it's always a danger to the seller when shipping the items.
The money you receive as a seller is stored on a wallet mechanism and takes too long (in my opinion) to transfer to my own bank account. An instant payment implementation would be preferred after the buyer acknowledges the purchase arrived OK and I click on transfer it to my account.
When a seller makes the effort of packing items properly and they arrive damaged to the buyer, Vinted can deem the effort insufficient and mark it as such resulting in the buyer getting the money back but NO returning of the item. Seller lost the money and the item which is against EU regulations. Vinted steals your item and gives it to the buyer.
The whole interface of the app I do like. It's clear, things are easy to find and my items are easy to edit. Communication with other users regarding products is easy and the translation function is good.
Conclusion. Use it to buy ONLY! If you do decide to sell, the default insurance is 25 euros. Don't sell items worth more using this platform. The buyer is always right. As a seller you are screwed.
I’ve had a very positive experience…
I’ve had a very positive experience using Vinted. The platform is easy to use, and it’s great for buying and selling pre-loved items. Thank you for creating such a helpful marketplace.
There should be options to switch off bargaining.
Its quick and easy to sell but usually the selling price is very low. Which is a plus for buys but not for sellers. Its not worth putting all the efforts thats takes for posting and shipping for that kind of price. On top, many people choose to bargain for one one euro, even the prices sets are so low. Wish there were options to switch of bargaining. Its consumes a lot of time.
It's a good app
technical failure of a Vinted Go locker
I am extremely disappointed with Vinted’s lack of support following a major technical failure of a Vinted Go locker.
After scanning my QR code at the locker, the machine malfunctioned and printed a shipping label belonging to a completely different user. The locker opened, I placed my parcel inside, and it is now lost in their logistics network under the wrong ID.
Instead of investigating their own hardware logs, Vinted support (agents "Oleksandr" and "Purity") simply sent me automated templates and refused to help. The order has been cancelled, the buyer was refunded, and I am left with NO item and NO money.
This is a massive security risk for all sellers. If their machines fail, Vinted provides ZERO protection and washes its hands of the situation. Absolute negligence.

Easy and reliable way to sell pre-loved items
I’ve been using Vinted both as a buyer and a seller and my experience has been great so far. The app is very user-friendly, listing items is quick, and communication with buyers is easy.
Shipping is well organised and transactions feel safe. I especially like how simple it is to sell clothes that are no longer used and give them a second life.
Overall, a very convenient and trustworthy platform. I would definitely recommend Vinted to anyone interested in sustainable fashion and second-hand shopping.
Handy selling/buying platform
I think you set up a very handy platform for selling goods you don't want to throw away and on the other hand to look into things you are interested in buying for acceptabele prices!
Thank you for keeping an eye on things that are not handled according the rules etc.
I have a beautiful story
I have a beautiful story. The story is about how Vinted helped someone to scam me.
I was selling my vintage gameboy color that my parents bought for me for my 10th birthday. I needed the money to be able to prepare the kids room for my daughter who was planned to be born within 3 months.
I had not used it for many years and figured I might as well make a collector or enthusiast happy while saving up money for my daughter.
Within hours I already had a couple offers on my product and near the range of what I hoped to get.
After half a day a user called aikohb bought my product.
I had a nice chat with the user and prepped my package for sending it by wrapping it and adding extra padding.
Next the next the postal service was closed but on Monday i was able to send it.
The package hang around in my postal service for 3 days for some reason but eventually got send to the buyer.
After almost a week I saw that the package was delivered to the pickup point.
A couple days later I got a message from the user saying they picked up the package and it was heavily damaged.
We chatted for a while and they mentioned they weren't happy and would file a dispute with Vinted.
Upon opening the dispute I saw that they gave the reason 'not authentic' and therefore it went into a authentication flow with Vinted.
Off course I don't have the receipt anymore but I don't see why it should matter. I mention that to them in the chat.
After 2 weeks Vinted concludes the investigation and says the resolution will be to 'send the package back'.
I contact support saying I disagree because that wasnt the point. The point was that the package is damaged and if it would be returned to me I would be left with the damages.
They said I have 48 hours to accept the return otherwise the buyer can keep both the money and the package.
I decided to quickly accept the return of the package.
Hours later I got a message in the chat saying 'the buyer has been refunded'.
At first I assumed that ment that they posted the parcel but after a couple hours and a quick chat with support I came to the conclusion that the parcel wasn't posted and the Vinted system had decided to let the buyer keep both my package and my money.
Every attempt I made to complain (to Vinted support. To legal. To internal escalation and to the CFO) resulted in the same answer: the money is out of our system. There is nothing we can do.
No repercussions for the scammer. No attempt to get my parcel or money back. No visual of anything significant being done.
Just nothing.
How can the outcome of any investigation be that the buyer can keep the money and the parcel? How in any scenario is that ever fair.
This has been keeping me up for nights. There is nothing legal I can do to get anything back.
My advice? Avoid selling on Vinted at all costs of anything significant. I got scammed out of 500 Euro's. 500 euros that I could have used to buy a whole bedroom set for my now new born daughter.
Don’t waste your time on Vinted
Don’t waste your time on this platform. They can block your account at any moment without any reason, claiming you conduct fraudulent activity. Either you’re a seller or buyer, you bear a huge risk of wasting your time and efforts. While they took 5 days to answer your message, they request you to reply with 48 hrs. The AI algorithm they use sucks, the customer service sucks and arrogant, the platform is simply not worthy to try. I’ve heard negative reviews on them before using. Now I regret that i didn’t believe them. Just sharing my personal experience.
Great App Overall
Clear transactions!
Excellent returns policy!
Quality listings!
Swift money transfers!
Account blocked after paying advertising / boosting
I have placed some items on Vinted and payed like €50 to boost my listings. The next day was my account blocked for 7 days due over putting listings. Too much listings means commercial selling behavior in Vinted, was the email explanation.
But the advertising cost was for 7 days. So basically it was just waste my money.
I tried to look for contact but only get the AI bot chat. Saying can't find any contact information. This whole advertising system feels like a scam!
