Customer support became horrible

Customer support has become absolutely dreadful, ignoring enquiries for 3–4 days and sending out automatically generated, generic replies. Apparently, they’ve ‘improved their efficiency’ by switching to AI. A buyer from Italy with a 0 rating bought my jumper. When the jumper was delivered, the buyer filed a complaint, claiming that the jumper had shrunk and felted. I was immediately contacted by support, who demanded proof that this wasn’t the case. I sent photos I’d taken just before posting the item to the buyer, which clearly showed the jumper had soft folds – something that would be impossible if the wool had felted. I also asked what evidence the buyer had provided. A week later, I received a message stating that Vinted had decided my evidence was insufficient and that I was obliged to accept the return. I spent about six hours first sending the item and then getting it back. I took detailed photos on the day I received the return, which clearly show that the jumper is soft, has an airy knit and is practically semi-transparent when held up to the light. Vinted is simply ignoring my messages. I wouldn’t be surprised if the buyer managed to wear the jumper before sending it back. It’s a perfect scam. Vinted offers absolutely no protection for sellers.
I can also confirm all the previous reviews regarding delivery issues. I’ve experienced these problems myself as a buyer, such as when DPD sent my purchases back halfway through the delivery process, or when Hermes marked a parcel as delivered but it wasn’t at the collection point. In every instance, Vinted told me to sort out the issue with the courier service myself, but as the delivery label is generated by Vinted, they are the ones who should be liaising with the courier service – which is exactly what DPD and Hermes told me every time.

Buyer fraud ignored by support

I have been scammed by a buyer on Vinted who returned an empty box filled with garbage instead of the item. I have video proof filmed at the collection point, photos of the empty box, and a photo of the buyer physically holding the item he claimed to return — proving he still has it.

I reported everything through official channels. One agent (Azer) acknowledged the situation and confirmed the empty parcel process had been initiated. Since then I have been passed to a new agent with no case history, asked to prove everything from scratch, and am now being ignored in a live chat.

I have been a cooperative and patient seller throughout. I followed every step of Vinted’s official process, documented everything, and provided overwhelming evidence of fraud. Despite this the buyer has not been blocked, my payment has not been confirmed as protected, and I am at risk of Vinted cancelling the transaction and refunding a fraudulent buyer.

Vinted needs to take seller protection seriously. A platform where buyers can steal items, return empty boxes, and face no consequences is not safe for sellers.

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience. My package never arrived, and the response from Vinted was extremely slow. When something goes wrong, it’s almost impossible to take quick action. The system is inefficient and frustrating when you actually need support.

Insurance doesn’t cover anything

Honestly its a great idea and app for sustainable shopping. But once you order a wrong item or its too small you have no right to return it or get your money back. Although as a buyer you pay up to 10 euros insurance for items, you are not insured. The cost is too high for Vinted to say, well thats not covered and simply try reselling the item if you dont like it. You will never get a refund of the full price if you make a wrong purchase and that is really bad feeling for the consumer.

This company has turned into a rip off…

This company has turned into a rip off company. I bought Chanel shoes for 150€ on 25th of Januar 2026 and as of today I have neither received the shoes nor is the support team willing to given a refund even though I bought it with the verification system. The support comes up with weird messages saying they are still investigating. They refuse to give me a refund. It’s a rip off company!

Shadowbanning on the edge of legality

A warning message just popped up: "Your account visibility is restricted.
You should regularly get paid through the Vinted system."

Aside from the fact that I'm not selling anything anymore due to this restriction, I consider this practice simply unfair competition, especially since it's not communicated transparently at all. And you're telling me something about Bumps....

So bumps are the solution for shadowbanning... AHA! I'll just ask my lawyer directly. I think that's a big issue.

Terrible help-center

Terrible help-center! I wrote two times problem and never got answer. The seller, From France, Catherina2305, cheated me and sent me terribly old stinky bag with garbage even in the box! I don’t want to spend 9 euro to send this garbage back at my expense! And nobody from help centre give me the answer! Never ever,I buy anything on Vinted.de☹️
