Started out as a standard seller about a year ago. Then Vinted banned me for actually selling some items and said I should turn into a pro seller as my items seemed to be commercial. Turned pro and had two non permanent suspensions for selling goods commercially😬 Finally today I got a message saying I was banned permanently for selling commercially. 400 plus 5 star reviews and banned by a bot. Appeal failed just got another bot response. They advised I could make another standard account but no thanks. Going down the pan rapidly. Feel sorry for buyers too, they pay so called protection fee which is a farce as they have to pay return postage. Avoid this company. They do not even read this site , that is because they don't give a D*mn. ***Update: Final appeal. They now say my ban was for selling a counterfeit item. 1. Can't they make their minds up, oh sorry no it's AI. 2. I have NO branded items at all in my listings, they are all generic costume jewellery and accessories.

I had a very frustrating experience with Vinted support regarding a counterfeit item dispute.
I purchased a pair of On Cloud trainers which appeared non-authentic when compared directly against an authentic pair bought from ASOS. I provided comparison photos showing visible differences in the logo placement, box size, materials and overall appearance, along with concerns about a strong chemical smell.
I reported the issue promptly on 15 May and submitted evidence immediately, but support took several days to respond. During that time, the seller accepted a return and I was left close to the return deadline without guidance from Vinted, so I felt forced to return the item to avoid losing my refund entirely.
After returning the item, I was then told the case could no longer be treated as a counterfeit claim because the item was no longer in my possession, despite the fact that I had already submitted evidence before returning it. I was also required to pay return postage myself.
What was most disappointing was the delay in support responses and the lack of accountability around that delay. The conversation was repeatedly marked as resolved even while I was still actively trying to discuss the issue.
Although I eventually received my refund minus return postage, the overall handling of the situation felt unfair and poorly managed.

They permanently banned my account and didn’t give me a real explanation. The only thing I could come up with is that I reported issues with not receiving my packages when they said they were delivered. In fact they were not delivered when they said, but at least two days later.Now that I’m banned and received some of my packages I can’t notify the that I received them so people can receive their money and I can’t cash out my money for my sales,I have asked to speak to someone to no avail. They definitely need to do better business.

I sold a £595 Victoria Beckham shirt in Vinted and the buyer used the verification hub. Whilst it states the item left the hub there is no sign of it. It’s been 7 weeks now. I’m constantly getting fobbed off as is the buyer. Disgusting customer service who seem to just have boiler responses! I have sold many items with Vinted but I’m now thinking I’ll be selling my items elsewhere. I have even contacted their legal team and got ghosted. Awful.

Customer service is non existent, or is a bot that just sends the same message on repeat.
I accidentally mixed up 2 parcels sending to the wrong buyer. Vinted suspended order but is not sending buyers return labels. 2 weeks now, buyers annoyed as am I. When I contact for update keep being told I have reported this before and to be patient they will get back to me. That was 2 wks ago, no update and no return label. Not cheap items either so very annoying. When it works its good but the slightest issue and Vinted bots cannot respond. Be prepared for that.

Worst marketplace experience I’ve ever had.
I created a Vinted account and uploaded my first shoe listing. One of the photos was an online reference image because I wanted to better show the model of the shoes. Within minutes, my account was permanently blocked for “probable fraud.”
I later understood that using a non-original image may violate their catalogue photo rules, which I acknowledged in my appeal. I explained multiple times that this was a first-time mistake with no malicious intent and offered to provide verification, original photos, proof of ownership, or ID confirmation.
Despite several polite appeals, Vinted repeatedly refused to reconsider the decision. Their moderation system feels extremely rigid and heavily automated, with little regard for context or proportionality.
What is most frustrating is being effectively labeled as fraudulent over a listing-photo mistake on a brand-new account with zero buyer harm.
Any newly created account appears to get automatically blocked immediately as well, which strongly suggests that my network/device(s) were flagged too. This means there is effectively no realistic way to start over even after trying to comply.
Based on my experience, sellers should be extremely careful when using this platform, especially new users. One mistake can apparently lead to a permanent ban with no meaningful support process.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Vinted.
My account was permanently blocked after I accidentally published the same item twice because I genuinely forgot it was already listed. The item was completely authentic and not counterfeit in any way, yet I was treated like a fraudster by an automated system with no real human review.
But what happened next is even worse.
Before this, I had purchased a baby pram through Vinted. The pram arrived with an unbearable fried oil / chemical smell that made it completely unsuitable for a baby. I reported the issue within the correct timeframe and even the seller cooperated with the return.
Despite paying buyer protection fees, Vinted then blocked my access to the return process entirely because of the account suspension.
Since then, all I have received are automated bot responses repeating the same useless messages over and over again. No customer service. No phone number. No actual human being available to help while a legitimate consumer issue involving a baby item remains unresolved.
It is honestly shocking that a platform of this size can leave customers completely trapped inside automated systems with no meaningful support or accountability.
A genuine user made a simple human mistake, bought a damaged baby item, tried to resolve the issue correctly, and was met with total institutional indifference.
This has been one of the most stressful and upsetting customer experiences our family has ever had.
Useless service
I have been a Vinted member for over two years with a positive selling record. My account was permanently banned for suspected commercial selling, a decision I strongly dispute and have formally appealed.
My biggest concern is that I have money in my Vinted Wallet from completed sales that I cannot withdraw. Every time I attempt identity verification to access my funds, the system fails and redirects me back to my banned page. I am stuck in a technical loop that is entirely Vinted's fault.
Despite contacting support multiple times and providing all evidence requested, I have received only generic responses and no resolution. I have now sent a formal complaint and will be escalating to the Financial Ombudsman Service and Trading Standards if my funds are not released within 14 days.
I would strongly warn sellers — if your account is suspended, you may find yourself unable to access your own money with no effective way to resolve it.
I would leave 0 starts if I could.

Talk about the absolute worst customer service that ever existed. How can the same people that unjustly determine that you have violated their terms and conditions fairly review an appeal. I have been accused multiple times of posting counterfeit merchandise that was authenticated by another site and provided proof only to receive an automated unfair response. Meanwhile my account is also unfairly restricted for days. You may not have to pay a fee to use their site but you definitely pay in other ways. And enduring their unfair and seemingly targeting practices is that high price!!! In addition, to my bad experience as a seller, I’ve also experienced horrible service as a customer. I purchased a purse that I believed to be authentic on Vinted and later found out it wasn’t and also received an item that was not in the condition listed…and heard crickets from Vinted.

Dumbest company ever
Signed up and was banned/blocked within a couple of days for absolutely no reason. So basically you make an account and add your details…email, address, phone number etc…then a day or two later they accuse you of something criminal such and scamming and fraud…and then permanently ban you. Customer service won’t help because it doesn’t exist and is bots. What an amazing company.
Seems like Vinted are actually the ones doing fraudulent nasty things. I saved many nice items on there and would have made them money as a regular buyer/seller. No wonder they have only negative reviews, such a joke.

Pretty much done as a customer and seller. Purchased an item which the seller was shown as blocked straight after by Vinted. Rather than cancel the order, Vinted have allowed it to continue and told me to wait for the delivery?
Its been 7 days since it was so called shipped and still showing as with courier? Again contacted vinted whos chatbot has told me to wait upto a month whilst vinted keep my money.

It's become a habit to claim to have received empty packages or non-functioning products, and to replace the sold products with non-functioning ones in order to keep the product and receive a refund. While the idea of selling used items is a good one, Vinted 's system is flawed. It fails to generate shipping code or to register shipped items. Their customer service is slow and uninformed and tends to blame you, the customer for their failures.
Worst customer service possible
I loved vinted, i felt like it was good to sell with and buy from, it felt like it worked, prices had to be reduced quite a lot i feel as a seller because of the fees but it worked. Unfortunately as soon as any issues came up with a delivery company damaging a parcel etc, i have never known a company have so little care or resource to offer assistance, there is no phone contact and the chat puts you in a loop of generic response by a different person each time. Its like they actively worked to not resolve and until they beat you to give up, id highly recommended not using this service. Its a shame as ebays service has been so helpful and supportive for sellers
