The worst first and second experience I…

The worst first and second experience I could have imagined. I would have never come back to this clinic if our puppy didn't need a second dose of vaccine.
First time I have booked our appointment online, stated which vaccine is required as I was told that the Village Vet stocks it, confirmed all of the details, filled up the registration form for our puppy and for myself, arrived to the clinic where I was told that they do not have all of our details on their system but Dr. Charlotte has seen us and she was good HOWEVER I was only told that they do not have a required vaccine before the actual injection. We were given a different vaccine made by the same company but incompatible with the one which he had before which meant that we were not able to take him out for at least another two weeks..... No one has contacted me before the appointment or advised that the vaccine is not available, and no one has offered to call another clinic to find out if they have the required vaccine, so we have agreed to the procedure. We have booked another appointment straight away for 18th November.
Today I left home well in advance (at 16.00), but traffic was heavy, so I have called the clinic at 17.12 to say that I am running late and person who has answered the phone has advised that this is not a problem and that she'll let the clinic know. I have called again at 17.32 (I have proof ) to say that I am 300 meters away just parking up and was also told that this is fine. I have arrived at the clinic at 17.37 (paid for the parking when I was already in the clinic at 17.38). Kirstin who has greeted me at the reception said that since I am late my appointment will be cancelled as I was more than 5 minutes late. When I have protested, she said that she will ask the vet if she will be happy to see us and few minutes later, she has emerged from the treatment room saying that she will not see us. I have tried to explain that we live miles away, it took me 1 hour 32 minutes to get to Chiswick due to the traffic but she kept saying that there is nothing she can do as this is their protocol and that even if she has seen messages from the person that I have spoken to (Kirstin apparently did not see them as the vet which should have seen us had to see another pet which had an emergency) she would not be able to help as every appointment has only 15 minutes allocation so since I was more than 5 minutes late I cannot be seen.
I have asked if any other clinics are open today for which I was told that Hampton clinic is working 24/7, so I have asked if Kirstin could call them to find out if they would accept us for the out of hours vaccination appointment, but she has refused to help saying that she cannot do that for me. When I have asked her to note done her name on the piece of paper, she said that she is not going to do that either as if I need, I can memorise her name, which I found extremely rude.
Eventually vet who has refused to see us and another client (the one who had emergency) came out of the treatment room at 17.47 which meant that if we have arrived on time vet's previous appointment would overrun and we would have to wait. Dr. Rania (the one who has refused to see us), asked what happened, spent another 5 minutes explaining to me why they cannot see me and why I was wrong, and they were right, instead of helping us to get the vaccination done, which only takes two minutes) and avoid an additional trip to Chiswick on Sunday which was offered as an alternative.
I was extremely upset for poor puppy, hugely disappointed with the level of service and outraged, as I do not believe that this treatment is acceptable, and I do not believe that pets or people should be treated in such way if clinic truly cares about its clients, which they obviously do not.
Today's visit just made me feel like they did not care and I honestly do not understand why they are working in the veterinary clinic if they are not passionate about what they do and are not willing to help. I do not recommend the Village Vet clinic to anyone .

Kerri-Ann and Rania at 75 Masbro road…

Kerri-Ann and Rania at 75 Masbro road London W14 branch is the most amazing vet for exotics and small furries. They are compassionate, caring and a genuinely talented vet.

I recommend people around the area to use this branch as they treat your pet with special care and the love they deserve. They understand how special the pet is towards their owner in difficult times. Well done ladies, keep it up.

Would Recommend

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Efficient service. My cat needed an operation to remove teeth and they fitted her in very quickly.

Extremely disappointed with my first…

Extremely disappointed with my first experience visiting Village Vet. The vet Adrian F who saw my pup was extremely rude to my dad who was trying to pacify her, she is generally quite anxious at the vet. He shouted at my dad several times and was extremely patronising when speaking. He lacks customer service and empathy toward anxious dogs and their owners and overwhelmed us by using overly scientific jargon without any explanations. I left the clinic feeling even more stressed than when I entered, and shocked at the procedure price which was offered at £900 (ear flush). I've gone back to my old vets which charge a third of the price and much better customer service. Very disappointed and do not recommend.

This was the worst service Iv ever…

This was the worst service Iv ever had!! I brought my dog into Village Vers twice and twice they said nothing is wrong with her, I had to them take her to Medivets and they preformed an emergency operation.
THE WORST EXPERIENCE AND A RIP OFF!! They take your money and done care about the well fair of the animals they treat!! What a scam.

NEVER AGAIN

I write this review with a heavy heart but have to express our extreme disappointment and anger with the Village Vet at Winchmore Hill.
We took our beloved cat to the vets reluctantly as we knew he could get stressed but we needed to know that there were no underlying health problems as we had suspected he had cat dementia. The vet saw that our cat had become distressed and took him away from us immediately to give him oxygen and then did numerous blood tests and checks which turned out to be fine. Her conclusion was that our cat probably had a brain tumour (which seemed to be based on the fact that he had sneezed a couple of times) and she ignored our feeling that it might be dementia. She was EXTREMELY keen to recommend an MRI referral at a cost of £3500 in order to confirm her suspicions. We told her that we would prefer not to put our cat through any suffering as we still believed it was dementia and declined the MRI scan so she then prescribed steroids. We subsequently asked opinions of two independent vets who could not understand how this view was reached by the Village Vets as they believed that the signs were all pointing to dementia. They also advised that the steroids were not a good idea as they would have a detrimental effect on his dementia.
We feel that the duty of care towards us as vulnerable pet owners was sadly lacking. She seemed very uncaring and callous in the way she advised us of her observations and seemed particularly keen to keep pushing for the MRI referral. She also didn’t even have the decency to reply to an email we sent subsequently asking for medication for dementia and anxiety for our dear cat.
Following this visit to the vets a month ago our beautiful strong cat rapidly deteriorated and sadly passed away within five weeks. We strongly believe the main cause of his early death was due to the distress caused by the visit to the vets and all the tests that were carried out. We are broken hearted and vowed never to visit Village Vets again.

24 hour emergency service?

24 hour emergency service?
- Not a chance!
On Saturday 3rd September at 7-45 am one of our two Irish Terriers was attacked on their walk by a pit bull Terrier resulting in severe neck injury.I phoned Cayton Village vet at 8am to be told that they were about to have a staff change over and I would have to wait for one and a half hours! -Unbelievable and unacceptable!!
This fully vindicates our previous decision to move after over 20 years with Cayton village vet to Village vet in Manor parade,Hatfield.I took Alfie there and he was being treated within 3 minutes of walking through the door. What a refreshing difference in attitude!
Unfortunately with Cayton revenue collection seems to have taken over from caring.

I have been waiting 4 weeks to get Steve to sign off my insurance papers ..!! So i can claim from my pet insurance ...
They are very quick to take your money and very expensive to visit let alone the medication.
I have been calling the last two weeks to find out what is happening with my claim and the receptionist has nothing to say to me... but ..."Steve is yet to sign"!

This is ridiculous Steve!! If you are too busy get someone else to deal with your paperwork or employ support !!

Can't get through on the phone at all .. you just get an automated message then eventually get cut off after waiting with the phone just ringing for ages.

Online bookings are a pain as they don't have anything on the same day it's nearly always 5 days+ which is no good if you have an injured pet.

They're pretty much unavailable whenever you need them.

Very Disappointing

Had a negative experience this morning. Rude Receptionist, Vet not carrying out checks for routine yearly innoculations, health check. Sloppy and not impressed. Teeth - not checked - ears - not checked - weight - relied on a past check som months earlier. Plus derogatory remarks about my rescue dog. Won't be going back despite convenient location.

I wish I could give 0 stars and looked…

I wish I could give 0 stars and looked at these reviews before going! Do not take your animals here if you care. They have no love for your pet just can’t wait to rip you off and take what they can off you, my dog had a c section, puppy’s had not been fed , told me evening before they would provide me with puppy milk to go home with but they had none as had ran out. So her puppy’s had not been fed from around 1am when the first one was born till 9am when I picked them up. They were weak and ended up losing several.
They then did not want me to take my dog home, as they said she was to weak and needed to stay in. (Extra £350) to keep her in for the day! I asked to take her there and then, knowing she was not getting the care she was supposed to have and knowing she would settle better at home with her pups. They made me sign a disclaimer form!
Please go elsewhere… They are very slow and leave you sat there waiting for hours with no updates and keep saying 10 minutes.

No compassion

Village Vet Whittlesford refused to send a vet the 12 minute journey to my home for my elderly dog with end-stage dementia to die in peace at home. I had to source another vet who travelled for over 90 minutes to carry out the procedure instead. They made a difficult time more stressful and blamed coronavirus - despite us taking LFTs, offering to wear masks and all restrictions having been lifted. They appear to have no compassion. We have changed practices as I can no longer trust them at all.

Unsatisfactory response to complaint

I wrote a bad review about the very rude and unpleasant vet at the Village Vet in Hampstead and they had the cheek to reply to me asking me to contact them to discuss it. My partner and I had already spent two or three weeks arguing back and forth with them by email about getting the vet to apologise, which they refused to do, and then when I post an unfavourable review they want to discuss it with me even further!

I'm furious and disappointed

I'm furious and disappointed. I wasn't impressed with the first chap we saw who just sent my sick dog home only to be rushed to hospital and put on two antibiotics, two painkillers, two injections and fluid for 3 days as a result... BUT the second guy Adam, was cringingly unprofessional, didn't wash hands, couldn't hold dog properly, energy was off, didn't know how to gently touch n feel a small lump under my dogs chin (possible cyst or lipoma) and when I finally told him to stop prodding my toy poodle's head and gently feel the lump, WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING WHAT IT WAS....HE SQUEEZED IT!!!!! I told him not too multiple times as I know its not a pimple, but carried on despite me telling him to stop! As a result my poor little dog has a massive, swollen, bloody, ematoma which is inflamed, painful and unnecessary!!! I was so upset, I had to walk out and pay £75 for Adam to hurt my dog, give me no information, and I forgot to ask for the meds I went there for to begin with... im honestly upset as I let an idiot manhandle my baby using 0 common sense.
Goes without saying I'm never going back. Bad energy, unprofessional, don't trust either of them.
The saving grace is the sweetest, most helpful receptionist ever, who was ever so kind to us!!!!
