I have Viki Standard Pass, and i have not had any problems, the website/app is cheap and easy to go around, i can find a lot of my series or movies here, and the community it fantastic!
One thing that annoy me though is the fact when im watching something (Through the website) It doesnt memorize how much I've watched for (On the app it does) So i have to keep the tab open all the time.
There are two different shows that I was in the process of watching and now I can't watch because they're not available.. first was The Story of Ming Lan and now The Rebel Princess... Both of these were fantastic and I was really getting into and enjoying them but now I can't... I've been a steady customer for many years now and this is the first time I've really had these kind of problems.
WHY am I paying so much every month for the premium package just to have the shows that I'm watching become not available in my region?? I was just watching them so how can they not be available in my region!? I can find them on YouTube... That's not cool.
WHY should I keep Vicki if it's going to keep canceling shows that I'm watching??
If in America it's going to tell us that we can't watch any of these shows because of licensing then maybe I should be getting rid of this. I'm definitely going to be writing customer reviews anywhere I can, until we can get a fair viewing of the shows that we're paying so much for. Please, please fix this...
I have Viki plus I play on Apple tv, all of a sudden the videos just stop in the middle of a scene and buffer, it does it all the time now. Viki used to be a really good app but I don't know that I will continue to subscribe with other really good apps available.
Subscribed to Viki plus using a virtual card through Paypal. I only used this card on Viki. last week I started to see fraudulent charges on the card. The only service I used the card on is Viki.
Rakuten Viki is nothing more than a 3rd rate advertising platform this is my 14 year old daughters opinion. I timed 3-4 pop up adverts every 7 minutes is rakutens way of driving viewers towards paying. Many countries have now banned this type of subliminal advertising therefor rakuten would be well advised to cease this practice.
I am a premium customer, but I plan to cancel before my next renewal. It is a total waste of money. First there is a wait period for subtitles to be added- which may take days. Second, Viki relies on volunteers to add subtitles that may or may not be accurate. So, why is there a fee? Third, except for not having to watch commercials, there is no difference between paid and free subscribers. After the two shows I'm watching end, I don't plan to visit Viki again. How I wish Netflix would purchase rights to the webtoons, since it is more reliable and not as frustrating to watch as Viki.
I’m paying monthly to watch dramas on Viki and time and time again, there’s no subtitles on the dramas that are supposedly “On Air”. I have made my complaint before and others too but nothing has been done. This is not acceptable since we are paying to watch and how can we watch when there’s no subtitles.

Viki has a nice catalogue of videos, but...
The quality is pretty bad, even when selecting the highest quality standard, which is just HD. Their videos suffer from banding and poor image quality for some reason, as if the videos are heavily compressed.
The community also, is pretty atrocious... However I won't go into detail about that.
Awful Company. My sister paid $99 and I still got ads during the programs. Customer Service is terrible. I tried to help her, but they cannot fix anything and their "help" webpage is confusing. The more I read about this company, the more I see it as a scammer.
Avoid Viki, better yet avoid Rakuten.
Never click even the 7 day free trial. I tried it and been charge $99 on the 7th day and when i send email to custumer service i received email that they dont refund. Not a good company. No phone custumer service. Not recommending.
I have the free Rakuten Viki app on our Firestick. I don't mind the commercials as a rule but when am watching the shows and have to reset 30 times in 2 hour time block, it gets a little frustrating! The Smith & Wesson commercials continuously freeze up
But the show selection is pretty good...
This could be a good tv but the subscription tricks u into thinking ur are paying 9.99 a month but the 99.00 keeps popping up and u punch 9.99 a month but they bill u 99.00 a year plain which wasn’t what u subscribe for
Rakuten Viki is using aave(African American Vernacular English) I love Viki but I don’t like that it’s using aave to get attention aave is something my people need to make because in slavery people didn’t want to teach them English because they thought they couldn’t learn because of their skin color and people still hate on us for it but people that is not African they make career for using aave and that is really sad and they aave thing Viki is using is that they write a word then use the clapping emoji then write a word again then use a emoji again and keep going with it and many African women have been made fun of for doing that and I hope Viki will stop doing it because it’s offense me that you guys will use something my people have been made fun of for do
It is a little to soon for Viki Rakuten to even think they can charge premium customers to pay to watch a movie they have release.
They are still lacking in getting there new shows up and running with subtitles. And would it be so bad considering the money you collect from your customers to hire professional to do your subtitles. I really do not believe in the Qin area they had quotes such as he threw me underneath the bus. They didn't know what a bus was. And yet this is what we pay for plus misspelling of words. Your quality and professionalism of the movies and TV shows you put out has not gotten better at all. This is why I chose two stars and I feel I am being generous at that.
I have viki pass. I've been using viki ratuken for over 2 years now and I got viki pass last year. I paid EACH month for viki pass standard. It takes 2 DAYS for them to put subtitles on when it should take a few hours. This is atrocious. Illegal streaming websites put subtitles on within 4-5 hours of its release? I honestly wasted my money!
Viki always a horrible service, their customer service nothing more than stall device, they nice & tell you do this & that yet know it not work. On nearly all show I try watch it not have or lack sub title throughout show. One of greatest issues is fact they rely on volunteer & viewer add sub title, which most do 3 or 4 episodes of maybe two shows then quit, & leave rest without subtitle, then falsely mark as Subtitled. Their server go down more that any other commercial server in a month than most do in 4-6 month. I watch Netflix, Hulu, play Xbox, PS4, Prime Video and many other tv app, none them go down near way viki do. They drop support for many device & gain support to other device like their fish for new customer like they afraid they go out business. When server they have up which rare to me, they have extremely amount of LAG even when viewer internet high speed. This leg of company they have need to be shut down or redesigned, re-managed by someone who actually care about product, customer service, upkeeping & maintenance of server farm, which currently not have, & all that said, I rate 1-STAR, I rate 0-STAR but they not allow.
Viki has very bad customer service. I bought the subscription for viki about 5 months ago because I wanted to continue watching a drama but I had to buy the subscription to do so. However after I finished that drama I cancelled my subscription to Viki, but still after 5 months they have continued to take money out of my bank account every month and I have tried to get in contact with them multiple times but they email back saying “we are currently experiencing a high demand for support” and then they never email again after that. Don’t buy the subscription.
To many commercials to often. Sometimes same commercial over and over.
While it was good being a VIP member. Never got an issue of inability to reset password. Or receive emails that can be opened, resolved. So I’ve been paying for this service which is automatically renewed on iTunes and it been 2 weeks or so that I couldn’t access my account and have to power through long and numerous. ads. No help forthcoming.
