Junk

Junk. Among many other issues (the app is atrocious), it is next to impossible to set up sharing. It denies good credit cards. On one attempt to set up sharing with my wife it did accept a card and then my bank contacted us to report fraud (we were charged by some place called "Sportsbowl" - and sharing is supposedly free in any case). This will probably end up in the trash.

This now has been trashed. Their Customer Service Department was unresponsive. STAY AWAY from VicoHome if you are installing a camera bird feeder. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had online - and judging from other comments I am far from alone.

Lags and pay per camera

I have a lot of missed activity. The cameras lag bad. Plus you pay $4.99 a month for cloud storage, but that is only for one camera. The more cameras you have, the more you are going to pay.

Thiefs

Camera did not work. App is confusing. Canceled script 2 weeks into trial via the app on chat (because there's no phone number to call). Then 2 weeks later my bank account is charged for a full YEAR of service! I had already Uninstaller app. Had to install again just to go through the cancelation process again. This time I screenshot the conversation.

I brought two camerat in August worst…

I brought two cameras in August worst thing I could have done—the first day I started having trouble with one of them wouldn’t come on—But the other one was working fine so two days go by I tried it again and it started working well for about 10 minutes— so I emailed the support team all they did was tell me to try this try that and let them know—so I did still didn’t work so I let them know and they said try this one last thing and if this doesn’t work we will give you your refund—well didn’t work didn’t get know refund and now the other one doesn’t work-they both won’t come on and the thing is I paid I think my wife paid $94:$96 for the year September 11 for a year(wow go figure) I mean they were really pleasant nice when I emailed them but nothing—really up set really up set about all what happened—if you want good cameras and I hate to say this because I’m not like them who you will never see don’t get these because there terrible

Vicohome does not stand behind their products. Stay away from them.

I purchased two cameras in January of 2025 and purchased a Vicohome monitoring year long subscription. By May, one camera wasn't working. When I asked for Vicohome's help, I was told to "rebind" them. I did what they said. The inoperative camera still did not work and then both cameras were no longer attached to the subscription. I tried for weeks to get help or a refund but was absolutely ghosted by Vicohome's customer service. I am very disappointed in Vicohome's not standing behind their product. Stay away from this company,

Nonexistent customer service

Bird feeder camera, worked fine until I had to change my broadband password. Impossible to read the barcode and impossible to dismantle the birdfeeder. According to the user guide you can reset the password without using the QRcode scanner, but it doesn't tell you how! been emailing Vico for two weeks - " We have received your feedback and registered it as a ticket (ID: 1973512). Our support team is currently reviewing your concerns and will follow up with you as soon as possible...... We value your input and are here to assist. What a joke!!!

Got this as gift last spring

Got this as gift last spring. Worked for the summer season. Attempted to setup this spring for the hummers!! Won’t connect battery dead. Keep emailing tech support. It’s a joke. Keep telling me to redo what their emails continually say. Won’t resound to when I say need to replace it. Don’t buy waste of money mkney

Usless

Camera is a waste of time and money. Doesn't connect half the time, misses major movement right in front of it and the app is awful. Buy something different as these cameras just aren't worth all the hassle.

Good camera, terrible service

Good camera, until you need service. My camera was vandalized, Spent 3 days trying to cancel service. No one to talk to. Finally a website to chat with. A waste of time. Asked questions I could not answer.

Hidden premium charge with this camera.

We have had a Vicohome CCTV since 2021 and just now (March 2025) they tell us that we have to pay a premium for the service. We purchased this because there was no monthly charge in the first place. So be aware of this hidden cost before you buy this Camera.

Blatant Product Misrepresentation and Lies

Despite what their website and other marketing materials say, these cameras are absolutely not compatible with Google Home or any other voice assistant.

When contacting customer support, they are dismissive and disinterested to the point of rudeness.

Yes, these cameras are inexpensive. And you get what you pay for. I just didn't anticipate being lied to and summarily brushed off when making a simple inquiry.

Disreputable business practices including blatant product misrepresentation are not a good look. Save yourself the time and effort and don't spend your good money with this bad company.
