Product Does Not Do What is Claimed
Update: 12/24 Larry Palur: Do not get discouraged on your return. Continue calling till you get through. Do not accept their partial refund mess. They only aim to discourage you. Tell them you want a full refund and believe me, they dont want those glasses back. When you tell them you are gonna report them to FTC and the Better Business Bureau, they will trefund you. But then report them! Be sure to include the actual company name and email they are using (mine was buylumina). Then, I added comments to Facebook ads for Vishift glasses that I found. Hopefully with enough complaints to FTC and BBB, customers will stop being victimized.
Update: Upon receiving these from buylumina.co, I agree with all other 1-star ratings on here. The glasses are poorly constructed and appear to be cheap plastic. No amount of adjusting gets rid of the bluriness; I see better without them. Will be throwing them in the trash. Reurns are as nightmarish as people have described. Multiple calls in which the system hangs up. I had to call 6 times before I got through. They want to charge a significant restocking fee and you're responsible for the shipping. Be firm if returning. I told them about my review plans and honestly thinking of still reportinng to BBB. They gave me a full refund. I wish there was some way their ads could be flagged and removed for fraudulent claims. Advice if you're thinking to buy this product, "Don't do it!" I'm rating the customer support side and purchase experience. I purchased at 7 AM via an online site. The checkout process is very sketchy as I tried to dodge additional purchase options after putting in my credit card information. On the last question it immediately charged me without giving an option to review my cart. The receipt revealed a $19.99 additional charge. The receipt gave 2 order numbers. I called and took quite a bit of time to get through after disconnecting when I would be transferred to a representative. Upon canceling the additional charge, the refund stated "a subscription" had been canceled. I found this odd and found this site with about 37 reviews. I called 2 hours later to cancel the glasses because it felt like a scam. I was informed I couldn't cancel because it was already prepared for shipping. I didn't pay for expedited shipping, so go figure. I wish I'd researched this place and product better. You're definitely transferred to a place like Bangladesh or India for customer service. There were so many foreign accents and voices in the background, that it was extremely distracting. I'll update this post or write a new one once the product arrives.
Horrible
Horrible. I wish I had read these before purchasing. I tried to return 2 pair. At first they responded and then radio silence. I guess I am stuck with 2 pair of horribly made glasses
Glasses are cheaply made and they will…
Glasses are cheaply made and they will not give you a full refund. They would work if reading is a level 1 or 2 but you be better off buying Walmart readers for the price
This product is a complete joke
This product is a complete joke. I am not even going to try and get a refund (and throw away another $10 or $12 on shipping) based on other reviews. The glasses are of very cheap construction quality, would not focus for me and the carrying case was even poorer quality. If the promotional narrative for these glasses is not complete BS it is next door to it.
The glasses do not do what they claim to do
The glasses are bulky, they do not do what they claim they will and they are very ugly. In order to get a refund within a week of receiving the glasses they charge a 15% restocking fee and a shipment fee even though they don't care to receive the glasses back. I purchased the 3 pair so I could share them with family and paid $91.88. My refund will only be $69.64. My call was handled by someone out of the USA with a terrible accent and they did not care that I was going to give them a bad review. Shame on me for trusting them.
WASTE OF MONEY
First, the price was $29.99, but during the "check out" process, suddenly there are hidden costs for "Protective Case Upgrade $9.95; Journey Package Protection $3.50; Shipping $9.95). Then, when the glasses arrive and I determine there is no way to adjust them so that there is clarity. The simply move a couple cheap plastic lenses around, which tends to make the vision blurrier and blurrier. The company advertises FULL REFUND...No questions asked. BUT, in fact the company will refund (what they call 50% ) or $19.97...which is far from 50% of the total cost. But, they let you keep the worthless glasses. I wish I'd seen these reviews before ordering. It is a WASTE of MONEY!!
If I could give them a zero
If I could give them a zero, I would! Every part of these "glasses" are plastic, including the warped lenses! I bought 2 pairs. One pair wouldn't adjust at all; the knobs just spun, and nothing moved. The plastic lenses were so cheap you couldn't see through them. The other pair was tweaked so badly that one lens was on my forehead, and only the right side would barely adjust with a horrible about-to-crack plastic sound. When I asked for my money back, they said they would give me half back and I would have to pay the shipping back to China. I threw a fit and told them I wanted it all back, filed a complaint with PayPal, and told them if they wanted the trash back, to send a return shipping label! I had a refund within an hour from PayPal and an email from them apologizing.
VI-Shift = ClarityBlue: Bait & Switch Scammers
UPDATE: a Refund for the full purchase price has been issued as of 11/12/25 after much back and forth with Vi-Shift and ClarityBlue and they told me to keep the product that I did not order and do not want which will go in the trash unless they send a return mailing label. I wish I had checked out the VI-Shift company before ordering because I now see that the many reviews on Trust Pilot tell the story of dissatisfaction. They conducted a bait and switch scheme with 2 products they offer from two companies, owned by the same group. I ordered 2 pairs of self-adjusting glasses from the VI-shift website totaling $78 and change, and was sent 2 pairs of NOBLU vision glasses from a company called ClarityBlue vision, which is the same company it turns out. They sent me an email newsletter from Modern Lifestyle 2345 Vauxhall Rd, Union, NJ 07083, also the same company, and I foolishly placed an order. DO NOT DO THIS!! They won’t provide a return mailing label after sending me the wrong items. They offered to credit my account for less than 50% of my cost and told me I could keep the items, and when I said no, they offered to credit my account for a slightly larger percentage, but not the full price, and I said no again. I want a full refund I’m going to report them to my credit card company, PayPal, and anyone else who will listen. It’s infuriating. I’m sure the company knows exactly what it’s doing and it’s illegal.
These Vi=Shift glasses are horribly…
These Vi=Shift glasses are horribly overpriced and nonfunctional, the maker should be ashamed and stop perpetrating this hoax!
I just got these glasses in the mail
I just got these glasses in the mail. I should have read the reviews FIRST! I tried returning them and was told that my 30-day guarantee was up and there would be "no refund and no return label provided." The USPS tracking number showed leaving Vi-Shift location on Oct. 27th, delivered to my address Nov 4th... hmmm, that doesn't look like 30 days to me.... and they are junk junk junk!
Don’t buy
Don’t buy. What a SCAM! I would give it zero stars if possible but had to settle on giving it one star. They don’t work and if you try to get your money back they only give you a portion of what you paid. They will charge you a restocking fee shipping fee and the protection fee then you have to pay a huge shipping charge. DON’T BUY!!!
GARBAGE GARBAGE GARBAGE GARBAGE DO NOT…
GARBAGE GARBAGE GARBAGE GARBAGE DO NOT BUY DO BUY DO NOT BUY SHAM SHAM SHANM
Junk
Junk. Absolute garbage do not buy. They do not do anything there of poor quality. They do know not do anything to help your vision.
Absolute scam
I would give zero stars if I could
I would give zero stars if I could. Total scam. Product material and workmanship are shoddy at best. Does not work as advertised. Not even close. If you want to return for full refund you will have to spend big bucks to mail at your own expense to China. That is a money losing proposition and they know it so they offer a50% refund no return required. So in the end you spent way too much for nothing of value. I threw mine in the trash. Too terrible to donate or gift to anyone
These are a complete waste of money
These are a complete waste of money. They do not correct vision, and obstruct vision in a meaningfully serious manner. They would serve as expensive party gag gifts, not in any manner to improve one's vision or correct refractive errors in their vision. The 30 day money back guarantee is also riddled with deceit. Persistence helps, but it's time consuming for a reason. They want to get rid of these and never see them again.
Don't waste your money!
First, it took forever for the product to arrive. But, that was minor compared to the quality and value of the product.
The glass/vision surface is so small that no matter how I adjusted them, there was absolutely no improvement in vision, whether near or far. Even if there had been improvement, I would have been fearful of breaking the adjustment mechanism, as it is so flimsy.
I am still trying to determine how to return them.
Nice idea, but...
It's a nice idea, but not more than that. The field of vision is very small. Reading a book is very tiring and i wouldn't risk to drive my car. The boresight-as makes it under all conditions an eye sore.
Unbelievable
Unbelievable - I feel like I got ripped off for come plastic
Buyer beware
These glasses are a not worth buying. If you need a pair of reading glasses, go to Walmart. They are very poorly made. I turned the screw and thought it was going to fall apart. If you think you will return them think again. Shipping, handling and a restocking fee. See what that adds up to before you return these gems. Buyer Beware !
