Toyota Corolla Purchase.
I bought a Toyota Corolla 2.0L Design Hybrid 2022 from Vertu Toyota in Worksop. My car got delivered on 15/9/25 and the whole experience was first class. I bought the car online and Connor Watkinson was really good by showing me a video of the car and giving me all the information that I required. He kept me updated on the delivery time and I can't thank him enough for all his help. The car is superb too.

Disappointed with Experience at Vertu Toyota Workshop
I recently bought an approved used Toyota Prius from Vertu Toyota Workshop dealership, and I’m very disappointed with how things turned out.
A large scratch on the bonnet, clearly visible, was never mentioned or disclosed, neither before prep nor after prep, in the videos provided before the car delivery by the sales team.
Upon receiving the vehicle, I noticed a prominent scratch on the bonnet. When I raised the issue, I was told the damage was “within Toyota standards” and that I should repair it at my own cost. I find this response unacceptable. Transparency was seriously lacking.
To make matters worse, the steering lock does not engage when the engine is turned off—an issue confirmed by a Toyota technician. This should have been picked up and sorted out by the sales team before delivery.
For a dealership selling “approved used” vehicles, I expected much more care and transparency. Sadly, the experience has been frustrating and far from reassuring.
Please avoid buying from Vertu, they hide facts and deliver you cars with issues that they refuse to address later on.
I’m very disappointed. First, they didn’t disclose the clearly visible bonnet scratch, and later refused to repair it. Secondly, they didn’t check the car thoroughly — I’m now facing a steering lock issue. Not recommended at all.
I’ve shared my bad experience with Vertu Digital Experience team but they don’t bother and address your concerns too. Zero customer care.

We want to clarify the steps we took to address your concerns. The vehicle you purchased is a nine-year-old approved used Toyota Prius, and while we strive for perfection, some minor cosmetic imperfections can be expected. Our sales team sent multiple close-up videos of the vehicle's exterior, including the bonnet, and we genuinely believed the car was presented accurately. We understand your frustration with the scratch on the bonnet, which we considered to be minor and within the standards for a car of its age. However, we also recognise that your satisfaction is what matters most.
To resolve this, we offered several solutions, including sending touch-up paint and arranging for a local Toyota dealership to inspect the vehicle. Additionally, when you raised the concern about the steering lock, we offered to have our technician look at the issue and fully cover the costs of any necessary repairs.
Our ultimate goal is for you to be happy with your purchase. That's why we also offered to take the vehicle back for a full refund should you remain unsatisfied. We believe this demonstrates our commitment to doing right by our customers, even when it means reversing a sale.
We believe we communicated transparently throughout this process and made a significant effort to find a solution that would work for you. We are disappointed that you feel the experience was frustrating, and we will use your feedback to review and improve our communication and inspection processes for all our approved used vehicles.
