Fantastic customer service

I had a previous bad experience with an independent car dealership. This time I went with Land Rover, Nelson and I have not been disappointed. Firstly thanks to Gabriel who helped me with the purchase of my Range Rover Evoque, from the beginning. I explained all the concerns I had, from the past experience. He was professional, understanding and most importantly honest. On the day of collection, I was travelling a long way. There were delays, which meant me arriving much later than planned to. Gabriel said that I shouldn’t worry, that they would work with me and that is exactly what they done. Thanks to Max, who picked me up from the station. After the nightmare I’d had with travelling up there, I was quite anxious and he immediately put me at ease. Also thanks to Julian and Steve for staying way after closing to help complete the sale for me. I’ve had the car a couple of day now, all is going well. I’ve had check ins from the team to make sure that the car is running okay. Genuinely could not be happier with the level of customer service that I received from this group of people. Thanks guys! When I need an upgrade, I know where to come!

I recently purchased a new Defender from Vertu Motors Land Rover Nelson and had an excellent experience from start to finish.

Gary Maher was outstanding throughout the whole process. He was professional, knowledgeable, and always available to answer any questions I had. He made the purchase straightforward and stress-free, keeping me informed every step of the way.

Bought our Discovery from Vertu Land Rover at Nelson.

Was very professionally welcomed and shown around the cars by a lovely lady called Katie.
The service was the best weve ever experienced from any main dealer including another Vertu branch.

Nobody was pushy. Every staff member we came into contact with were absolutely lovely and friendly and couldnt be more helpful.

As for the car, we love it.
Thank you so much. I will be recommending you to anyone looking to buy a Land Rover.

Ignore the customer......problem solved!

We purchased a used Range Rover Sport from Vertu Land Rover Nelson in November 2025, and it has been a very poor experience from start to finish.
Since purchase, the vehicle has suffered multiple faults, including a persistent key issue (which required several failed repair attempts), a fault on the drivers door, a broken fuel feeder pipe, a broken washer motor, and a suspension fault. This is completely unacceptable for a vehicle of this age and raises serious concerns about the checks carried out before sale.
Even more disappointing was the lack of customer service. We formally contacted both the dealership and head office regarding these issues and initially rejected the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, but received no response whatsoever and had to chase repeatedly. In total 4 emails have been totally ignored by both head office and the dealership. Numerous phone calls to the General Manager, Allison Reede have also been ignored.....she's always "in a meeting."
The vehicle has now been returned after further repairs, but only after significant inconvenience and effort on our part. This experience has left us with very little confidence in both the reliability of the car and the professionalism of the dealership.
We would not expect this level of faults or lack of communication from a main Land Rover dealer. Based on our experience, we would strongly advise others to think carefully before purchasing from this dealership.

Defenders v Attackers

This was the third LR we have bought from Vertu, or its predecessors. 4 years ago when my wife decided we were having a Defender I visited another dealership.
I was greeted with a statement as follows
WE are not offering any discount!!!!. My response was I was not aware i had asked for any!!' I did not stay long.
The JLR brand is fantastic. Expensive but fantastic. So the only real decision after model, colour etc, is who do want to supply it?
The whole experience at Vertu is about the people you deal with. Everything is explained fully, slowly if need be, and all the Tech cliches ironed out. The atmosphere around the place makes it a pleasant experience.

Absolutely first class customer service from these guys at VERTU Nelson .
