Veri put me in control

I absolutely love Veri. I had worn a CGM in the past, but the app I was using didn't help me understand the correlation between my glucose levels and the food or events of my day to day life. Veri has put me in control, and it's teaching me how to manage my levels, rather than be managed by them. Also, the app is very nice and easy to understand, and support is fab.

Excellent app and service

This app has worked brilliantly for me. Each update gets a bit more user-friendly as well. I had a defective sensor and it was replaced right away. I just wish it weren’t so expensive to have the sensors shipped, as the Swiss charge high import taxes on top of the cost of the sensors. Otherwise, I would keep this program. It has been so very useful.

A very important tool…

Veri has become a very important tool for me. I have first started by only using the Freestyle Libre 3 CGM from Abbott. It became quickly apparent to me that the data that was gathered could provide me much more insights than the App from Abbott, which is tailored to a different target group. Basically, Veri is the app that I was wishing for.

Veri has made such positive impacts on…

Veri has made such positive impacts on my life and health I can’t really sum it up in a few sentences. If you want to learn more about your body, and the impact of food on your individual body, not a boilerplate, it is a game changer. The company has been hugely supportive of helping me reach me goals. They listen to their customers to improve their experiences to get more in-depth feedback and it has a good community.

Life-changing!

In a class of their own

Veri is in their own class regarding software for tracking blood glucose. The app is super intuitive and has a beautiful aesthetic. The insights are great as it's not always self-evident what the data means. Still, Veri makes it easy to interpret and gives practical takeaways that feel easy to incorporate into lifestyle changes. Even more, experienced users will get something out of this app, especially the metabolic healthspan feature. This a strong recommendation.

Flattening the curve!

In March 2021 my wife was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer (Glioblastoma) - along with all the treatments: radiotherapy, chemo etc. she was recommended to follow a "good gut" diet by one of her oncologists (I realise this is not a proven treatment), along with everything else!

I was overweight and had been a yo-yo dieter for most of my life, I had a renewed sense of wanting to stay healthy for our two young kids (2 & 6), loose some weight, support her in the new diet (hey we eat the same meals) and keep her energy levels up during chemo.

In May 2021 we both started following a variant of the Microbiome diet. The effect on me was profound I lost 16kg and was back to a normal BMI!

BUT - I didn't want to pile back on the pounds, especially when I reintroduced more carbs (albiet wholegrain), but equally I didn't want to remain low carb long term and crash my metabolism, so I signed up for Veri hoping to flatten the curve (Covid Joke - too soon?)

The insights that Veri gives me has helped me to keep my weight stable for the whole of 2022, as well as understanding which carbs work well for me (not parsnips apparently - my wife's favourite) and experiment with Intermittent fasting. This data has been invaluable to keep me on track.

My wife doesn't wear a sensor, in her words - she has enough going on in her life right now, so the insights are only truly relevant to me, not her - but it steers us both in the right direction!

While it's not cheap and I can’t afford to wear a sensor for 12 months of the year, the flexible subscriptions allow me to check in on my progress periodically.

Additionally the team at Veri are constantly improving the app and their offering! Well done guys!

Life-changing health platform

I've been wearing Veri sensors for almost a year now and the experience has been revolutionary for me. Within just a few months, I dropped about 20 pounds, regulated my sleep to a large extent, completely rid myself of occasional nighttime acid reflux, and balanced out hunger cravings and energy fluctuations. The sensors do not do this FOR you, but they make you consciously think about what you're eating, when you're eating, and how else you can adjust your lifestyle to feel, look, and be healthier. Why 4 stars? After a short time, learnings from the app are minimal, and what I really look forward to are updates with truly personalized recommendations for me. Amazing customer service team, incredibly helpful and responsive on the few occasions I've needed help.

A very happy UK customer

I'm a UK customer. I've subscribed to 3 months with Veri and it has given me the most insights into how food, drink, exercise and events affect my blood glucose levels. I purchase my CGMs directly from Abbott laboratories so don't have the experience other's have shared on here.

I joined the product group to test the new functionality in Veris backlog and it is heartening to see the investment they are making in the product to provide additional customer benefits.

How to make money out of their disservice

I purchased a three month product with this company, My second sensor (so still my first shipping) had a manufacturer defect. I asked for support to the customer care and that's where the nightmare started. Rather than handling my problem themselves, after 2 full days, they passed me the contacts of Abbott, the third party producer they rely upon, and basically told me to handle it myself. This is against European laws where the retailer has responsibility for the product sold. I complained for the solution provided and I asked refund for my money as I was highly unsatisfied with the service provided. The reply from their customer care was, not only the charged me the second tranche while we were still figuring out solutions for my problem, they even told me that if I want to quit a service that is clearly not working, I need to pay 50 dollars. This is not me changing my mind about a product, this is absolutely terrible service provided and I think they should invest more in troubleshooting rather than thinking only about how to make money out of the needs of people with problems.

I agree with the other review here

I agree with the other review here - if you're in the UK, don't bother. They will forget to send you sensors and when you remind them, they still never arrive on time. Mine is now a full 10 days late. I had to purchase one myself for the "gap" from Abbots. Their customer service is no-existent.

And the app is not great. You'd do better with the free LibreView app and sensors directly from Abbots.

Do not waste your time or money if in UK.

If you’re in the UK this will take approximately two weeks to be delivered from Germany. Like most German companies they don’t care less about your needs, but simply keeping your money. They say on their website 3-5 working days. But I ordered on Monday evening by Friday their DHL tracking number showed the parcel hadn’t even been handed to them. If you try to cancel you will be fobbed off. I was told they had to way to cancel an order and that I must receive it, in spite of 14 day right to cancel being in law, and on their website. I really wouldn’t trust this company. In 2022 getting your order especially as a new subscriber at best is a 2 day wait, more often than not is overnight. You can order the actual sensors directly from Abbot with immediate shipping. I don’t think the Veri app adds much benefit over the stock app after looking at it.
