Verdant violates freedoms of paying customers

Horrible experience with their thermostats being used at the Drury Inn. They have now worsened the situation in these hotels with thermostat authoritarianism that we didn’t think could be worse. Formerly, the only problem we had with this horrible company that the air-conditioning (or heat) would not run in the evening when we were sleeping (or not moving).
That was bad enough. The rooms became terribly stuffy and either too cold or too warm. We were up in the middle of the night adjusting the thermostat to be able to sleep in a comfortable temp.
Now, thanks to the geniuses running this company, the update prevents the PAYING CUSTOMER from being allowed to decide whether to run the heat or the cool because BOTH are on at the same time.
We walked into our room and the thermostat was set to 70°. We wanted to increase the temp by 2° and let it slowly drift up since it’s 90° outside. But no! Don’t you dare have autonomy or a say in how the room feels that you PAID to use.
I turned up the temp by 2° and Verdant turns the HEAT on. I turn it down 2° and Verdant in all its wisdom turns on the air conditioning. How can a company make people hate it more? They can’t. Taking away a customer’s ability to choose heat or cool is a violation of our freedoms. According to Verdant, people no longer deserve the right to run the fan, either.
So don’t you dare request that there be circulation in your room. Absolute fail.
