If I could give negative Stars I would

If I could give negative Stars I would. I was contacted by a local apartment complex to provide cleaning services from our cleaning company. They were referred to us by another large apartment complex. I was told I would need to create an account on Vendor Cafe that it would cost $99 per year. I will say that one of the property managers said he would reimburse me the cost with our first cleaning bill. I really struggled to get the certificates of insurance and all the right stuff for them I am pretty savvy! I kept getting emails that they needed more and that what I provided did not bring us into compliance! Our service provides cleaning to a couple of different large vendors including another large apartment complex and a city office! For God's sake we clean a police station! Our coverage is perfectly acceptable to those clients but not for this community which is served by vendor Cafe. I am wondering how many potential vendors have been lost because of vendor Cafe that these apartment communities could benefit from having relationships with. Oh well I am not interested in dealing with vendor Cafe. I think it's just a bunch of people trying to justify their existence and their paycheck.

Hard pass.

If you're a property manager that thinks that Vendor PM is going to help connect you with the best contractors, you're dreaming. This is a corporate grift. They charge contractors for the privilege of using their platform with the promise to expose the contractor to more clients. Except they don't have that many clients, their platform sucks, and good work will always speak for itself. The value proposition of this software is non-existent for any contractor worth their salt. And if you don't sign up, they'll email relentlessly.

American owned Canadian company faking…

American owned Canadian company faking it's way to a lot of my clients. So now I pay for them to do nothing at all so that I can receive a quote that I end up needing to send emails about because half of the account on there are fake.

How is it even allowed?? What's the value?? At least their garbage AI gave me the green thumb using a generic fake certificate until I actually get any job and get real insurance for prospect.

Vendors - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

They coerce you into registering or else you will not be able to work with your existing clients.
Once registered, they required my insurance to increase from 1M liability to 6M. Of course, they don't tell you this until you have already paid their annual non-refundable fee.
I was contacted almost daily to get registered. Once there is an issue needing attention, you are ghosted - no return eamils or calls. Nothing but a bunch of thieves.

If you want to get over sign up…

If you want to get screwed over sign up with these clowns
First the only phone number for vendor support is a local number in the US. So for a Toronto based company, we Canadian vendors have to pay international call fees
Second, no one ever answers. After minutes on hold you are directed to a message box
But hey, if they have a problem processing your payment, be sure they reach out to you quickly

They're just a useless middle man

They're just a middle man. They take a fee to do practically nothing. They have pushy and deceptive sales tactics. I recommend purchasers and vendors steer clear.

This was a waste of time and money

This was a waste of time and money for my company. The only leads I got were from customers I have had for years. Not a single new customer is 6 months. Wasted thousands of dollars for nothing. They show thousands of properties they are affiliated with, but none are looking for any work on their buildings. That is not possible.
