Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 62 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many customers found the service to be very helpful and a necessary part of buying a car, providing valuable insights into a vehicle's history, faults, and potential issues. They appreciated that the service could save them from scams and headaches, offering a good understanding of what they were considering purchasing, often at a reasonable price compared to competitors. Some also highlighted the ease of use and the detailed information provided, with the free check often being considered excellent. However, a significant number of people expressed dissatisfaction with the pricing, feeling that the checks were too expensive for the information received, especially when similar details could be obtained for less or even for free elsewhere. Many reviewers felt misled by the product offerings, as they often had to pay extra for service history reports, even after purchasing what they believed to be a 'full' or 'comprehensive' report. There were also complaints about inaccurate or missing information in the reports, including incorrect vehicle images, false red flags, or a lack of data for which customers were still charged. Payment issues, such as being charged multiple times or experiencing difficulties with card details, were also reported.

Failure to respond or provide the claimed refund

Paid for the product in full which claims to refund you if zero results are found - sure, zero results were shown on the report. However, despite contacting then 3 or 4 times, they have not refunded the transaction.

Contacted them again as suggested - still no response or refund.

On 30 June @ 11:10am, I emailed both addresses.

They have now refunded - thank you - but it really should not take this long in my view.

Hi Robert,

Our mailbox is automated and will have triggered the refund which can take up to 5 working days. We will follow up too after a few days to make sure you was happy with the service. I've had a search for your name and can not see an email with your name associated. If you can email us again I can confirm everything has been processed as normal.

EDIT: Still no email showing Robert, but we can see emails from other customers. Please make sure you are contacting us through info@vehiclescore.co.uk OR accounts@vehiclescore.co.uk

Detailed report but no images

Really good detailed report but no images supplied when a vehicle is declared as an insurance write-off. Also I ran a report on two Fiestas and each report flagged up as an 'ex-taxi'. That's certainly not correct.

Unable to find vehicle

Tried to find a vehicle I was interested in but it could not find the registration. Found it on an alternative website.
It wasn't an import, new car or anything strange. I double checked the reg I had input but still no joy.

Rip off refund policy

I used the ultimate refund option on a car from a dealer and it came back with outstanding finance so I could not get the refund. The finance was just a floorplan that most dealers take out and is NOT outstanding finance as it is paid off by the dealer as soon as the car is sold. Absolute rip off.

Hi,

As mentioned, the vehicle shown it was in finance. The cause of the finance was that the car dealer had bought their stock on finance. We can only refund if you have a clear report. Ad your car shown it had finance against it, it does not qualify for a refund.

Vehiclescore claims that my car has a…

Vehiclescore claims that my car has a mileage discrepancy when in fact there isn't one. Damaging and likely to impact the resale value

Hi,

Our mileage discrepancy comes directly from the DVLA MOT data. Can you please send your reg for us to check. Our detector will always go off if you have a MOT which shows the mileage has decreased since it’s last MOT. You can speak to the DVLA if their data is incorrect which will update our site.

Didn't work, promotional email and no unsubscribe option.

Tried VehicleScore for the first time today. Checked multiple vehicle registrations, older and newer vehicles, and just a blank white screen appears after pressing enter/return. Also I received a promotional email within the first few minutes of trying this website yet I had not created an account or subscribed to anything. There is no option on the email to unsubscribe either. A website heavily promoted by YouTubers but perhaps their reality is different from mine!

Updated: Thanks for your reply, the website now works. It would seem that I did create an account so my apologies. However, I have now deleted it as I did not sign up to receive marketing/promotional material and nor do I want it.

All cars i checked had 999 score

All cars i checked had 999 score. thought maybe i will get more accurate number with report, bought it. Nothing. Stop misleading people. Total disappointment.

Update.
Tath's the problem, all cars are used and old (10-15 year old) and have from 50k to 100k+ miles. but your system don't bother to show all that. what else it doesn't show?

Sorry guys i'm not going to bother myself with you. Your system is broken. Your IT department, or who ever is responsible for your website, needs to do better. Have a good day.

Reply from VehicleScore

Hi,

I’m quite shocked to see a negative reply for a 999/999 car. If you’re car is scoring maximum, it is likely because the vehicle is almost brand new/under a few years old. Feel free to send us the registration so we can take a look regardless.

Got a reg for us? 999 on a 15 year old car is impossible, unless it is a import and we have a large gap in DVLA data.

I look forward to your response Jessica.

(EDIT)
If you’re not willing to let us know the reg to check it out, I’m guessing this is a false review seeing as you don’t wish for us to help you, and from looking at your other reviews.

If you want us to be better/answer your questions, please send a reg. Otherwise, we will assume a fake review as 999 on a 15 year old car is literally impossible with our algorithm.

Hope you have a good day regardless and your score/report hasn’t ruined your day.

Your reply is in no way accurate .

Your reply is in no way accurate .. the stolen marker was removed but only after I contacted Experian who subsequently contacted the insurance company who had placed the marker. At the time of your supplied report, the car had been used as a taxi in 2024 … through the salvage auction and had the stolen marker so I have definitely not been misinformed , your are trying to cover the inaccuracy of the report you supplied which is fact.
As for Experian being your insurance provider that statement is not accurate … the report Experian supplied if full price is paid gives a £10k cover on a car having a theft or stolen, which somehow you seem to be adopting as your insurance. When. I spoke to Experian they said that you were just a customer in the same way that anyone would have been had they bought the report from them. Experian has no trading agreement with you on the legal T&C of their offer. Merely that you get a reduced rate of purchase on the reports which you modify and format to sell onto customers at a profit to yourself , you offer no support to the people who buy from you. As the information supplied by you is a modified version of what Experian provide it makes you liable for the information supplied to your customers . Ie the people who pay your company directly .

I strongly advise people to go straight to Experian … cut out the middle hustlers and go to people who know.

I'm still waiting on a formal reply from the three directors I reached out to but none have had the guts to reply directly.
Just avoid this company , save your money… you can get all you need for the Dvla site for free.
