Long delivery delays and poor packaging
I was surprised to discover the bag ships from the USA, which meant delivery took longer than expected.
When it arrived, it was simply wrapped in a taped-up plastic bag with no product labels, premium packaging or instructions for the locking mechanism, which made the overall unboxing experience feel underwhelming.
That said, I’m hoping the quality, durability and longevity of the bag more than make up for the first impression.

Easy to purchase, delivered within good time. Found the bag a little tricky - could do with clearer instructions re the lock and also the air removal part - as I like to think I am quite clever but this foxed me for a while! Overall good experience.

I ordered a bag for a friend for her…
I ordered a bag for a friend for her birthday. Unfortunately when the bag arrived the packaging was ripped and the bag inside damaged. When I contacted the customers service team with photos of the issues they could not be more helpful and sent me a replacement straight away. My friend is so pleased with her bag that I have now ordered two more one for myself and one for my sister. Great customer service goes a long way.

Terrible. The bag arrived with cut marks on it - I was told I could take it away as they couldn’t deliver a new one on time. Went to use the bag and the material between the zips is cut so clothes would fall out. Bad workmanship. It would be easier if you could actually speak with someone. Looking at their return policy I can see I potentially might be charged for returning their faulty goods and they might blame me. I was just a women, wanting a bag, paying for a bag, to be a bag so I could go on holiday…stress

Comfortable and well made
The bags are comfortable - they appear well made and carried all the clothes and things we needed for a 2 week holiday - we had no problems taking the 40L and 60L bags on a Ryanair flight.
A minor nit-pick - the chest strap on the 40Lbag is pretty useless, as it is way too high, the one on the 60L is fine.

The quality of the bag is very good - sturdy and with different pouches and pockets. I appreciate the bag’s separate zip area for laptop or in my case books and journals. I fit enough clothing for an 8 day trip. And I can confirm that it fits under the seat in front on ryan air flights.

Not suitable for its intended use.
The vacuum section part of the bag is not big enough. Once air is removed and sealed, it still leaves space which would have better utilised if the compression section was bigger. About 50% of the bag is designed with other sections that uses valuable capacity ineffectively. Due to this it bulges in the middle (mainly due to the side straps needing to be pulled tight) which makes it fail the bag sizers at the airport, completely defeating the whole point if the bag.

The Vaultbag works really well
The Vaultbag works really well. It is as described good quality, well made and comfortable to wear as a rucksack. The internal zip takes a little getting used to and at first I thought I might break it but after contacting customer service who replied immediately and stayed online until all was sorted it’s quite simple. I found I was able to fit so much inside the bag, reduce down with the small device provided and fit more in behind clever zips. It’s worth paying the extra for this bag because of the quality. We have purchased a second one because they are so much more comfortable than ordinary rucksacks.

The first bag i received very promtly and used on a weekend away in Valencia, unfortunately, the carrying handle snapped and I responded to the first request of a review sadly that the carrying handle had broken.
