If I could give this site a zero stars I would. I am looking for an antique washing machine. I found one so when I went to respond to the post, I got a message from the administrator that they can only sell to people in the immediate area and since I wasn't "In the Community" I couldn't message the seller. I was more than willing to travel the 3 plus hours to purchase it. Its not like they seller had to come to me. This is the worse selling platform ever when they discriminate over how far away you live.

Will be deleting my account. Leeann deleted all my accounts. I help friends sell stuff from different areas and because my profile says I live somewhere else she deleted them and said I should have my friend sign up. I can sell on any other site no problem this person is their problem and will be their down fall. After this I have posted on Facebook and anywhere else that I can that this app is no good. Haven’t sold anything in years anyways. I’ve sold more on Kijiji and Facebook. Can’t even get a hold of VarageSale as it’s automated now. So done with this site and I was here from when it opened up in Canada.

I would have never given them any stars but it owuldn't permit me to move forward until I did. These people assist their clients to steal from their other clients, all whilst looking the other way. Disabled people beware they have no empathy for those of us that are disabled, (putting it plain and straight). It saddens me that in this day and age their type of abuse continues. Best advice? Stay away from Varage Sale.

I'm trying to delete my account as it's completely useless. Why have an app to search on fb when I can do that on fb? So in order to delete it I have to login on their website. Well good luck getting on their website cause it goes directly to their app and the links they provide to their website doesn't work. What a scam. Hate companies like this. Complete garbage.

Admin Leanne Mathews admins MANY different communities. She messaged me to remove my listings and post them all under one. When I went through the Rules and Terms of service and it was NOT listed there she removed me from ALL communities she manages. Then I joined the community to where I am moving and she demanded to know when I was moving, When I told her that was private information she did not need she denied me from that community as well. I emailed VarageSale to let them know about her behavior and I am clearly not the only one. She has bad reviews on her page and the app store as well as here. It is time to remove this power-hungry admin. She bullies people into giving her unnecessary information or it's her way or the highway.

It’s terrible. Totally overpriced for junk!!!

I joined and the requested to join another in Cambridge. Verify account added a profile photo and then got ill. It had been a few weeks I weren’t really up for much and saw a message from Dana who said I would be denied access as I hadn’t added a photo. I looked at the message saw my profile was plain and thought oh I’ve forgotten I emailed directly . Explained and went to amend my profile. When I did my image appeared and I was verified. I’d forgotten I’d done it so embarrassed I replied oh I forgot it’s there though so system bug. Went to go on the site and the T w a T has blocked me …. Rude intolerant no wonder it’s not busy. Not a good site to sale from I’d give them all a miss. Although the lakenheath one hasn’t done anything. The star is for them .. I’m off there are far better places to sell than through them. To think I apologised ahh!

I am very disappointed in this site I had a death in the family and was unable to notified a person about a product. I tried to explain this to explain this to the Administrator Eva but she was very judgmental and called me rude. She showed no compassion or understanding

I wish I can give this app 0 stars. It's the worst app ever to sell anything. I have 15 items posted for idk how long and still nothing, plus the setup is so weird,confusing and just ugly. Idk whoever thought of making such app.

The site isn't good. I've had 15 items listed on Varage Sale for over a month now and not one damn view. I post in bigger/major cities. Redundant. Don't waste your time posting anything on there.

My 2 cents.

I always thought letgo/offer up was the worst site and don’t get me wrong.. they are bad. But I have at least sold things there and have talked to an actual human. But it’s bad.

Varage sale.. I tried it out for a few months and it was non stop bots. In fact I never even talked to 1 actual human. I sell things on Craigslist and eBay and occasionally letgo. So I know pricing. Almost all my sales are thru CL.

Maybe the people in my area aren’t using varage sale enough but it has the same problem as letgo. Just stocked full of bots and fake profiles and no responses. Literally the worst local selling app I’ve used.

I put in a request to join for my parents who are older and my mom is disabled. I’m helping them get rid of stuff. The lady Dana Easton denied my request saying middleman don’t work basically. I told her I handle it that they physically can’t. She still declined. I’m shocked over this but feel the need to post. I was very clear telling her my mom has ms and doesn’t use the computer at all. Her hand shakes bad. She doesn’t do this type of stuff. She was still happy to decline me. lol
This seems very selfish and unfair.

I’d give them a minus rating if I could. The app idea is great. I put up with bugs in the app. But the admin people. You would think they were trained by Trump! These power hungry losers won’t let you voice your opinion, won’t admit when they are wrong, don’t listen to reason, change the rules constantly, expect members to beg to be admitted, threaten members with suspension - oo bite me! No wonder this company is on its way to the dump. Stay away from Varagesale. You don’t need this stress in your life. There are many other ways to buy and sell stuff without being bullied.

I'm already being generous for giving them a 1 star. I have no other choice if I need to ensure that I'm able to write this review. I have several issues with VarageSale and they are as follows:

1) According to VarageSale's definition of a Discussion, it says that it's anything you want to just "say" to everyone in the group. It doesn't specify that you can't be posting deals about your products so I posted a deal there about a daily discount for my products. A day later, it was deleted without explanation. I then reposted the deal along with another and again, they were both deleted a day or so later without explanation. When I contacted VarageSale admin, they indicated that I cannot advertise my products under Discussions and it's also based on the rules set out by the Community Admin for my area. When I scrolled through the Discussions, I notice multiple people posting advertisements for their products yet their posts remained. I even noticed that someone posted an ad for his products and he was also in the same buy and sell community as me. However, the Community Admin only wrote under his post that he shouldn't be doing that but did not remove his post. This goes to show how inconsistent the Community Admins can be as they will just arbitrarily delete some posts and keep some according to how they "feel" like even though the posts are of the same nature. Talk about taking irrationality to a whole new level! They also lack the courtesy to tell you the reason for removing your posts. So don't be surprised if you post something under Discussions and it ends up mysteriously disappearing. Mind you, they don't even mention under the definition of a Discussion on the VarageSale help page what you can't post as I had mentioned earlier so you'll be left guessing why your post just evaporated into thin air.

Honestly, it's not even the fact that the Community Admin (LeeAnn Matthews) removed my posts that angers me. It's the fact that she didn't even have the courtesy to tell me why and the fact that she was inconsistent with what to remove and what not to remove when my posts and other people's posts are of the same nature. I would be fine with her removing my Discussion posts if she was consistent with everyone and also told me the reason why. What terrible communication skills she has! She expects people to guess what's on her mind. I wonder if this type of attitude spills over to other aspects of her life because if it does, then I would pity those who would have to deal with her as they would have to constantly guess what's wrong with her as she cannot just straight up tell people what's wrong!

2) Without downloading the App on my phone and only using the browser, it seems like some of the buttons in VarageSale don't work. The Feed works but the buttons to check your own messages or products do not work. When I'm on my computer, however, everything tends to work properly.

3) They don't allow you to attach more than one picture for your products if you don't download the App. So if you're using VarageSale on your computer, don't expect to be able to attach more than one picture to give potential customers a better idea of your products.

4) The rating system is only a Praise rather than a rating in Stars or a scale of 1 to 5 or so. This causes a person to either have no Praises or only have Praises. There is no way anyone can have a publicly displayed negative review. Therefore, this rating system fails to give an accurate picture of a given user as it only shows people their good side.

5) You can have followers but VarageSale doesn't seem to let you see who they are. As for discussions, you can't see if anyone is "watching" your discussion.

These are the top complaints I have about VarageSale. I heard from an insider who used to work there that they were laying off a lot of people and almost went bankrupt. I guess this is why they are full of issues.

Needless to say, I have deleted my account and will never use VarageSale again. It's up to you whether or not you would want to try it out but I would definitely not recommend it.

Varagesale.com is another one of those buy and sale website that won't let you signon without facial picture. Facebook might work if you try that. When you sign on with this site your signing on with every subscription they belong to thru a adhesive contract which can force you into the internet of things world where hackers can tract you. They can also take nude pictures of your wife and kids without your knowledge. Your signing up with evil Corporations folks. Big Mistake. Did you know in public it perfectly legal for anyone to take puctures of your kids. See Lawyer.com for details. For you guys out there your going to be subject to being ruined in life yourself. Never join a picture site or get envolved with adhesion contracts. Your selling you legal rights.
