Vans & Hands insurance covers them, not you.
I do not recommend it. Reckless drivers and an utterly untrustworthy business.
They tricked me into paying £400 for an "insured" removal. Their driver broke the glass canopy in the building I was moving to, which I had to pay from my pocket as both the driver and the customer support refused to share insurance details or pay for the damages.
We're in 2023 and battling in court as they're counter-claiming something caused by their driver.
Do not hire their services. You'll be left to hang if they cause anything, their customer support is rude and useless, and their insurance is there to protect them, not you.

Big up to Vans and Hands Removals
Vans and hands are the best removal company and will recommend them to anyone who would like to move their property. I used them from UK to Guernsey and everything arrived intact on the day they told me will arrive. Not one item was broken. They are friendly and professional. Will use them over and over again if need to.

Damaged my furniture
Damaged my furniture. They offer a dismantling and re-assembly service but do not have the expertise to carry this out. Drinking alcohol on the job. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Extremely disappointing as the guys seemed really friendly. When I complained I received some really rude and argumentative emails.
They also charge a 2% surcharge fee for card payments which is illegal in UK.
Their website shows all 5 star reviews which is clearly not a true reflection of their service in my experience. Steer clear. We thought we’d support as this is a new business… bad move - never again!

We sincerely apologise that you were not happy with the service that was provided to you by our team. Our goal is to provide quality, professional services to our customers so to hear you were not happy is disappointing.
Upon reviewing the feedback and the service that was provided to you that day, I can see that the furniture you requested to be re-assembled was a bed purchased from Argos. Prior to the booking, an email confirmation setting out our terms and conditions is sent out to all of our customers stating "Please note that we will not take any responsibility for any damage or breakages involving any Ikea or Argos products of any type. This is due to the poor standard of construction and the one-off build design of their products. Flat pack furniture of any kind should not be disassembled or moved as this can weaken the item and cause damage during transport." On our website, our terms and conditions are also available to read through before booking with us, which is attached to every email we send out.
I have, however, further reviewed this incident and can see that the team did send out an independant contractor to fix the bed free of charge and our management team ordered completely new parts from Argos for you. I can confirm that this service has been completed, and so your bed should now be completely fixed.
In regards to alcohol being consumed by the team whilst at a customer's property, our team have thorough bag checks before attending properties for safety purposes, where I can confirm that no alcohol was taken onto the property. We do not permit drinking, smoking, or phone calls whilst on a booking and we complete thorough training with our staff to ensure this does not happen.
I have also spoken to the team member's who were in correspondence with you, and upon reviewing the emails I can see that the team's intentions were to set out clearly an outcome they wished to resolve with you, as you had made some statements that needed clarifying by our team in order to not have any further miscommunication. I do, however, apologise you felt this way.
As of 2018, we have stopped charging people a 2% surcharge fee.
I do sincerely again apologise you were not happy with our services, as our aim is to have loyal customers who would put full trust in recommending us to their loved ones. If you would like to discuss this with us further, please do not hesitate to drop us an email at info@vansandhands.co.uk.

Great service would definitely reccomend
Great service. Daniela was really sweet and attentive to our wants and needs for our move. The boys specifically David on the day were so helpful and careful with our things. They turned up 10 mins early. The one item that was damaged was from my carelessness from not checking the box was sealed properly. They also do packing and extra moving services aswell. Thanks again

This “company” is a bunch of cowboys
This “company” is a bunch of cowboys. They are not even registered with HMRC and are claiming to be a top removal firm. Stay far away from these amateurs as they are clearly running an illegal service in order to avoid paying their taxes, what a joke!!!
