Possibility the worst design of a remote control in the history of the world. If you touch, drop, put in your pocket, talk within 10 feet of it, it will depress a button. Absolutely dreadful... Gre... See more

Expected a lot more ordered with 4 door sensors bit of a pain to set up the remotes tracking is not that good either shows vehicle is a few rounds away when outside my house so not worth it for the tracker!! door sensors ok for a deterrent if some one tries i wouldn’t buy for a work vehicle ok for the motorhome so will be putting it on there so get use out of them but not worth the price I paid
generally is all wrong with product. is simply nowhere near what you really expecting. just way to quiet to work as any deterrent. sensors on doors they work independently instead when one is triggered boost each other make much more noise. tracking and calling unit has gigantic connectivity issues. when closed in van and inclosed by metal shell just stragglers to connect to network. that is why very rarely is able to do what should do. wast of time and money. stay away from it. check reviews before purchase. no costumer service land line. so no one to talk to just email 🤷🏻♂️
Absolutely shocking customer service, don’t respond to messages and when they do they are bordering on rude, the fact there is no telephone number should have been a warning sign.
Not interested in doing anything to support their customers, only extracting more money from them at every opportunity.
On top of this the units are cheaply made and fragile, they won’t stand up to many battery changes.
Save your money and get something decent from a company that cares about their customers.
Terrible system.
Chinese app hardly works. Sends fake alerts but there's nothing ever wrong with it when they send there 2 day late emails.
Money back guarantee is no such thing. If you open it and try it then you are screwed.
Avoid this piece of crap.
£160 doon the drain. Unable to return and blocked on there facebook page.
Jokers!!!
Not even worth 1 star. The other reviews say it all.
Ps. THIS IS NOT A FAKE REVIEW.
Cheers
This company is a joke there customer service is poor and product is overpriced.Gps unit is a joke doesn’t work,SIM card slot doesn’t accept SIM card properly and SIM card gets stuck so bad I had to return gps unit for them to say I have damaged it,so no longer covered on warranty,so had to buy another one for another £78.00 guess what this one doesn’t work either.I have sent the second one back now and I have been ignored after Email after email.I wish I had done my research properly on this product and to find out you can buy the same product on Amazon for far far cheaper Avoid don’t fall for the salesman crap on the website I have lost in excess of over £259.00 including buying another Gps unit AVOID AVOID AVOID
Door alarms are okish. GPS waste of time. Set up is very vague. Looking for alternative.
Great to start with but gps unit is flimsy and not reliable, help pages are vague, im left with three sounders but no gps unit after only 3 months, looking for an alternative product.
The good
- Door sensors sound immediately if you touch the door
- When they did reply, customer service was fairly helpful even if not very friendly
The bad
- About 30% of my emails to customer service got ignored and I needed to chase them up
- I get so many false alerts every day I just ignore them
- The app is a generic Chinese made piece of crap, you need to go into "settings" every time you want to arm / disarm the smart alarm
- The SMS / call notifications are supposed to happen even when somebody just touches the door, not only when a proper alert goes off
I got a replacement unit because my first one generated lots of false alerts. They were quite helpful, sending it to me before I could return my old one (I live outside the UK). But the replacement is worse, it doesn't trigger when the door alarms go off. They refunded me for it.
Sadly there's nothing about it I can recommend. The door alarms are generic, you can get them on amazon cheaper. The smart alarm is a disaster. It just doesn't work. Either it alerts all the time, or it doesn't alert when the actual alarms go off.
Absolute rubbish for the money paid out. Difficult to get the GPS tracker to work, the instructions are poor. The door alarms do not link to the app and are a glorified shed alarm. Difficult to link the remotes so you don't have any working spares once you link all door alarms to one single remote. Difficult to get the battery compartment open. This is a genuine review not a made up one as per Vanolarms website comment stating all trustpilot reviews for Vanolarm are fake. Waste of good money. Lack of support. Not even loud when mounted next to the drivers window LOL. I tried to leave feedback on their website twice, they delete 1* reviews. Goes to show that they only want to show the best reviews not the accurate reviews.
This product is so bad, when you have an issue all they do is send you the returns information for you to return their absolutely shocking product back to them for them to test and replace. They are not available to speak to and take weeks to respond. It’s that bad that you can’t even talk inside the vehicle without it constantly alerting you. AVOID AVOID!! They don’t have reviews on their website that are live or genuine otherwise I’d have started clear I’ve only found all this info after having had a bad experience and delving deeper …. Wish I’d been warned 😭
Avoid avoid. Please make sure you read this so you don’t get scammed like I was from watching and reading on their site. By far the worst doors alarms ever. They cheap, flimsy, enable to be heard properly. And they stop working very fast. Please do not waste your money . I really hope people will see the review and they think twice before they buy this horrible and useless product. Do not buy.
This pathetic excuse for a setup is an absolute disaster. I deeply regret not heeding the warnings from other customers before wasting over £100 on this Mickey Mouse nonsense. Let me tell you, the door sensors are utterly useless. They don't even connect to the tracker, and you can find them for a mere £14 each on Amazon. And don't get me started on the tracker itself. It's an absolute joke! The app interface is half-baked, barely functional, and good luck trying to get any support. Save yourself the trouble and just slap a Samsung tag or Apple tag in your van. It's simpler and cheaper, trust me.
This is hands down the worst investment you could make when it comes to tracking your van. The audacity of this guy to act like he's the mastermind behind it all is infuriating. Truth is, it's nothing more than a cheap knock-off he's slapped some labels on after paying some clueless developer a few bucks. I've had more problems with this piece of garbage than it's worth. I cannot stress this enough: AVOID, AVOID, AVOID at all costs!
Some may get what they paid for?…
Honesty is always the best policy!
I’m not sure what the issue is regarding those that advertise and sell a product knowing that when customers report issues with what they claim to support is a good product?…
You can offer endless videos etc relating to how this product is supposed to function but when all is said and done and endless emails to support stipulating that the app and alarm system is not fit for purpose as the alarm can merrily initiate itself whilst no notification given to the dedicated recipient telephone number leaving you with no alternative but to turn the volume down on your tv etc whilst seeking confirmation from your other half…”Is that my van Alarm going off”?…
All whilst your phone sits there dormant with the potential cleansing of goods from your respective ‘Protected’ property!
Regarding my experience with this alarm and customer support…
Endless excuses, alternative SIM card, endless attempts to get this alarm to arm, disarm itself without success!
Either Vanolarm or 1p mobile have got it seriously wrong!
The app and the alarm platform is useless which in my experience would result in your van etc being cleaned out before you had any idea the crime was taking place!
Regardless whether the alarm is competitively priced or not?!
It should fall within the remit of the trade description act of which it does not!
I have become somewhat tired of approaching customer support to get a satisfactory conclusion of which I have had none!
Just don’t buy before you try albeit by then it may be too late!
We are talking about tradespersons livelihood! The performance of this alleged system may well leave you compromised and without one!
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL PRODUCT AT A VERY EXPENSIVE PRICE. £170 FOR THE TRACKER AND 4 ALARMS……. THEY SELL ON EBAY FOR £18 A PAIR. NO COMMUNICATION FROM THE CLOWNS AT VANOLARM……. THESE ARE GOING STRAIGHT BACK TODAY. NOT AS DESCRIBED EVEN, ONE ALARM WAS ONLY PUSHING OUT 84db & THE OTHER 91db, VERY CHEAPLY MADE ALARMS.
The tracker is a standalone device that you can get from Ali express for £35.
This person at vanolarm is just a scamming conman.
I purchased them on eBay and sent them straight back after being very disappointed with how cheap and low decibels they are. The seller tried keeping £49 of my money, He was over the money replying to my message about my refund, He said as the item has been opened we keep £49, lol, He was well pissed when eBay seen the scam he was pulling and they sent me the other £49.
I was about to go 180 miles to get my stolen money in person, I told the seller this, Plus i was going to charge him my expenses for going there so would’ve been closer to £200 he would have to give me. All in all the worst experience of 2023.
Avoid these cheap shed alarms. And better still keep we’ll clear of this thieving cretin at Vanolarm.

Great bit of kit. Dont understand some reviews on here someone touchs side of van or door handles and sensors go of. Noise and vibration turned on on app it pings my phone. Works very well. Shame manufacturers dont install these systems as standard. Being a victim of tool theft from van previously this system gets 5 stars from me. Now i have tried and tested it i will be installing in my other vans.
The alarm was very poor quality, with two complete separate products going on rather than one combined product, which is what they advertise. What’s more, if you want a refund, then you lose £50 because you opened the product and tried it out. Everything all the other bad reviews say is true. The bad reviews are because the product is bad!!
To get the alarm to notify your phone, one of the door alarms has to trigger which then triggers another “noise sensor” on the GPS unit. Not at all polished.
You cannot hear the alarms if you are more and a meter away. All the stuff about the alarms being ear splitting is wrong.
This product is just a toy, not made for use in the real world.
Poor quality and alarm isn't fit for purpose. After 14 days and even tho returned no full refund. Save yourself money and don't buy this poor product that's 2 separate alarms, one being a cheap shed alarm that can be purchased online for £13. Tracking wasn't accurate and when vibration alarm set off I wasn't getting a call or text to call me, being inside the van I couldn't hear the vibration alarm going off from my home.
Very poor quality, first unit was faulty and was going off every 2 minutes whilst I was driving so I was sent a different one which occasionally went off whilst I was driving but never if I tried to set it off to check it was working. Wrote an email to the company saying how disappointed I was but never got a response.
An alarm is something you need to fully trust and I would never trust this, I’ve now thrown it away.
The Vanolarm system is two entirely different devices packaged as one alarm.
The battery operated doors sensors with arming fob and the GPS unit which is armed separately by a downloadable app.
If like me you work all day on multi site visits and get tools and equipment in and out of your van all day it’s an absolutely rubbish system !.
My days go as follows -
1. Start in morning turn GPS off via app and sensors via fob.
2. Get to site remove equipment, set sensors with remote then set GPS unit via app.
3. Go back to van for additional items disarm sensors but have left phone inside, have received phone and sms message.
4. Get fed up setting two separate systems throughout day and leave GPS turned off for rest of day but keep setting sensors via fob.
5. Return home after long day, set sensors then alarm goes off in the night but I don’t receive a call or sms because I forgot to set the GPS unit via the app !!!
This would have got a five star review if the system was truly linked together. The two systems work but they are independent of each other and should not be marketed as one alarm,
