Extremely disappointing experience with Vincent Phan from Valiant Finance.

My husband owns a limousine company that has been operating for over 10 years. The business had approximately $70,000 in the bank, and despite a credit score of around 580, Vincent was confident throughout the process that he could secure finance for a $65,000 vehicle.

For 6–7 days, we were repeatedly assured that the loan was progressing well and that approval was looking positive. Based on these assurances, we stopped exploring other finance options and relied on his advice.

Then, at the very last minute, we were told the finance could not be approved.

To make matters worse, our application was apparently submitted to another lender without our approval, resulting in an additional credit enquiry and a drop of approximately 40 points in our credit score.

The issue is not that the loan was declined. The issue is that we were given confidence and assurances right until the end, only to be left with no finance, a lower credit score, and valuable time wasted. If approval was unlikely, we should have been told upfront so we could pursue alternative options.

Based on our experience, the communication, transparency, and overall handling of our application were extremely poor. I would not recommend Vincent Phan or Valiant Finance to other business owners seeking commercial vehicle finance.

Sam met me when I was burnt out by the lending process.

Being Self Employed Sole Trader, who doesn’t own property and not GST Registered pretty much ruled me out for most loans. I reused a previous broker and they were more worried about their reputation than they were about assisting me for loan. Extremely evasive questions and very minimal options lead me to do more research.
