I am now in Panama, thanks to Panama Vacations for this lovely tour.

From the first phone call I was treated as if I was the only client you had. Time was taken to investigate any option I wanted and special requests were not a problems at all. everything was set up to fit into my budget but it was still first rate. I would definitely recommend Panama Vacations to anyone wanting to travel Panama.

I used this company to assist with a 9 day trip I led with 30 people to Panama City and Veraguas province. Everything went as smoothly as possible. There were hiccups, such as a defective hotel room, which were corrected. Company was very helpful in making suggestions as to where to stay and what tours to do. I would recommend this company as your on-the-ground contact.

The biggest hiccup was finding dry ice to ship our fish back home in. However, once panama luxury vacations learned of our inconvenience they quickly contacted us and had the dry ice delivered to our suite in Panama City the final day of our stay. Could not ask for better service!

Last February (2013) Panama Vacations delivered on their promise to execute our customized travel plans seamlessly. We had a great time and their arrangements made that possible.

The agency fulfilled everything we wanted in this trip. Any phone call, we received an immediate response. The country was beautiful and I would really recommend using this tour group.

From the minute we arrived we were not happy. Had we not been with another couple we would have left; Five swimming pools? I don’t think so, one and four with ankle deep water. Five restaurants? I don’t think so, “If they were open,” we had to eat at the same restaurant during our week stay. Per the manager not enough customers staying at hotel to justify the other restaurants to be openned. The food wasn’t good anyway! The customer service was Horrible! Couldn’t even get a bottle of water. Our party of four, would be lucky to get two bottles of water after a thirty minutes wait. Finally we decided to buy our own bottle water. Staff stated that they did not provide bottled water “really?” Beware if you happen to go there on a weekend or holiday; The hotel was opened to the public “very crowed”. Also the on going maintenance during our stay; cleaning the pools during peek hours of the day; painting the exterior of the building, and scaffolds blocking your ocean view. The worst vacation and hotel ever!
If you are running an all inclusive hotel maybe you should send someone to Mexico they could teach you quite a few things about customer service! May send someone undercover like the TV series “Under Cover Boss”. I would never trust Panama Vacations again.

The vacation was well planned and organized from start to finish. The drivers to the different tours were all polite and knowledgeable. Each tour was interesting and each person we met in Panama welcomed us warmly.

You always feel a little uneasy when booking travel from afar with a travel company you've never heard of but I have to say we hit the jackpot. Found them online and I was completely out of ideas on how to spend my honeymoon in Panama. It was perfect. Five Star all the way. From the moment we stepped off the flight, there was our guy waiting for us with a sign to take us to our luxury hotel in our air conditioned van. They took care of so many little details that just generally can make a vacation a pain in the ass. We didn't worry about Canal tickets or transportation or lack of personal service. They really paid attention to detail. I was on the phone with the guy at the office several times and he was helpful and attentive and I never felt like I was bothering him. A true pleasure to deal with.
****Just so people don't think I'm a shill for the company, I will admit they made one minor mistake. When arriving for our flight from Panama City to David, we made sure to be an hour early (as they instructed). Turns out, 5 min later and we would have missed our flight because they had moved departure time up by a half hour 3 days earlier but never notified us. We barely made it on but it all worked out. So minor,

Justin at Panama Vacations organized our trip exactly the way we ask it to be and at a great price. Our trip was perfect! We would highly recommend using Panama Vacations!

Everything was very smooth throughout our vacation and we definitely felt like Panama Vacations took care of us overall, but one thing we were not thrilled with was the fact that all of our original itineraries were created through online links, which had to be clicked on to access. While on my vacation, we had a question to something that we felt sure was on our original itinerary and that is when we discovered that the link no longer worked and we were unable to view it. To make a long story short, we were able to resolve all of our issues and were very happy with the way that PV was able to help in the matter, but did not like the fact that we were unable to view the original itinerary.

My accommodations were excellent, as promised. My tour guides were so wonderful, they were teaching me so much, and for all the world, were my true friends and fellow adventurers. I selected my tours, tailored them to my own interests, namely, rainforests, native tribes, historical places, and superb recommendations for food and entertainment.
Panama is so much more than the canal, which is astonishing.
It is a place you in which you might never tire of being.

PV did a fine job for us.

Our pick up at airport, return and for guided tours was always on time in great vehicles.
Guide was extraordinarily well informed with history going back to the early Spaniards.
Arrange a plane to David to pick up car for drive to Bugate (?). Hotel had large well furnished rooms and more flowers and exotic birds than we saw anywhere else in Panama. Great services. First class

I emailed Panama Vacations and told them we had five days to spend in Panama before going to Ecuador. Told them we wanted a tour of old town Panama City, wanted to fly to a small island where we could stay in a locally owned small hotel on the water and walk or water taxi to restaurants, etc.
Voila! They arranged everything including driver pick up at dock Windstar ship, driver took us for lunch, tour of Panama City, and to local airport for flight to Bocas del Toro (they recommended several hotels & we chose Tropical Suites...it was perfect...center of everything yet quiet, walk to restaurants, on the water, water taxi whenever you wanted it). Bocas was really relaxing, beautiful and fun! When we flew back to the local Panama airport, there was the driver waiting to take us to lunch and then international airport for our flight to Quito, Ecuador. It was seamless. Thank you Panama Vacations...our agent there was Jan B and he was awesome!

The company was knowledgeable and provided good options and I was satisfied with the itinerary. When I had an emergency due to a cancelled flight from Bocas del Tora, the company completely disappeared. In addition, I had to book a room (again, nobody available to help me as nobody answered phones) due to the cancelled flight, which means I was paying for two hotel rooms at the same time since my first room was prepaid.

We stayed at a rented out condo in the old section of the city, currently being refurbished. Excellent; bedroom air conditioned and had washer/dryer. Superior Restaurants abounded, within a few blocks all direction.. Two blocks from national Panama Canal Museum, which one should contrast with the Canal Museum built by US at the locks; also national cathedral. Also: 30 feet from an ATM, located in front of a police station.
Two blocks from national opera house, three from presidential palace. Super location for personal exploration.
The tour itself is personal; a guide and you, in a van. You see everything in Panama City, the locks, do a half day boat crossing of the canal, train to the Atlantic, see the original landing location of the Spanish, visit a indigenous village; really the new and the old. US currency is used, so no reason to exchange money; also US electric plugs and voltages. Water is potable.
We also on our own explored shopping centers (on national holidays), took a cruise to one of the nearby islands, went north about 60 miles to spend an afternoon at a public beach.
Absolutely the way to do it, in my opinion. Given that some of the time you are on your own, this should not be one's first international tour.

In a couple of years, we will go to Costa Rica with this same company.
